The UK are still providing weapon parts to Israel!

Edited

Yup, see also the RAF flying over Gaza to gather intelligence and targeting information which they share with the IDF and last week bombing civilians in Yemen.

Pure speculation… The RAF say their flights are to locate hostages.

You may disbelieve them but shouldn’t present theories as facts.

The government also said it was no longer supplying certain weapons to Israel and it's just been discovered that they lied.

I will add an "In my opinion" and according to geopolitical analysts and generals from around the world.

Its known that Hezbollah destroyed a lot of the IDF monitoring infrastructure at the beginning of the conflict leaving them blind (there are many videos showing this). The IDF has relied on help from it allies since.

So the RAF could be doing it solely to "locate the hostages". We will likely not know for years as reporting will be restricted via a D Notice for national security.

Thankfully, all the visible flights are being tracked and recorded by OSINTs, so if it does turn out to be nefarious there will be a lot of evidence.

British military chief walks away from Gaza spy flight questions

‘I don’t really have time for this conversation’, Admiral Radakin tells Declassified when asked about his role in Israel’s genocide.

As the Hostages thread seems to be more for support, prayer and hope regarding the hostages than worrying information, this news might be better here.

It is from Haaretz:

HOSTAGES/CEASE-FIRE: An Israeli source said that there are 21 living hostages being held in Gaza, and that there is "serious concern" for the lives of three additional hostages. The three hostages for whom there is serious concern include an Israeli and two foreigners, from whom no sign of life has been received since the war began on October 7, 2023, the source said, adding that the hostages' families have been updated.

  • Despite promises made to the public and to hostage families by IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir that the return of the hostages is the top priority of Israel's military campaign in Gaza, operational orders presented to IDF commanders on Tuesday included it as the last of six war goals. Preceding the return of the hostages on the list were "defeating Hamas," "operational control of territory," "demilitarization of the territory," "destroying sites of Hamas rule," and "concentration and movement of the population."
  • Many of the commanders attending the briefing were also surprised that the IDF had substituted the usual Hebrew word used to refer to the hostages (hatufim) with the less politically charged term "b'nei aruba" (which also implies that they are being used as leverage).
  • The IDF confirmed that these were the campaign's goals, but has not formally responded to queries. Defense establishment sources emphasized to Haaretz that Israel's political leadership determined the list of priorities, and the operational orders were formulated accordingly. A defense source said he did not know why the term "b'nei aruba" was used, but said that it had legal implications.

"'There was never a situation where the hostages didn't appear on the first or second line of every operational order throughout the course of the war,' said a source who attended the IDF briefing. 'Seeing the hostages or 'abductees' in sixth place was like a punch in the gut, but no one said a word. People looked at each other and fell silent'" – Yaniv Kubovich

OhCalmTheFuckDownMargaret · 09/05/2025 08:26

From the BBC:

"Last week, Netanyahu said rescuing hostages was a "very important goal" of the war, but that "the supreme goal is to achieve victory over our enemies".

So it turns out that this isn't about the hostages anymore after all. They are just a secondary goal, less important to Netanyahu than turning Gaza to dust.

Videos show Israelis celebrating the death of a Palestinian child that wad murdered by an arson attack carried out in his home by Israelis.

Omg 🤬

ScrollingLeaves · 10/05/2025 22:13

I had to use Google translate to read it bit by bit. Well done to him for speaking up. I think though when he tried to tell the truth in some programme, it was cut out.

Which paper was this? Does it have much Israeli readership. The Israeli people need to know about the crimes being committed in their name in this detention centre.

What happened in the Yemen field is not a secret, but most Israelis know nothing about it, even now, because the Israeli media ignored it almost completely. This is also the reason I chose to be interviewed. Because Palestinians keep coming out of our detention facilities in bags, and most of the people around me haven't heard about it.

By the way, in case people presume this does not matter because all the inmates are Hamas murderers, he points out that this is not the case.

It was from Haaretz. Here's the link to the original article.

Thank you.
I thought it might be.
There seem to be some people on these Conflict in the Middle East threads who do not think much of Haaretz but I hope they see this man’s account as worth reading.

ScrollingLeaves · 11/05/2025 15:52

For those reading Israeli news who eschew Haaretz,

This man relating the systematic and extraordinary abuse in Israeli detention centres, against people many of whom were not the Hamas perpetrators, says:

The Yemeni field [Sde Temaine] is not this one incident [the rape that supposedly got to court and was renamed ‘assault’], but a clear story of policy. And it is carried out and maintained with the kind assistance of the Israeli media

Whatsinanamehey · 12/05/2025 23:45

This is disgusting and an open declaration that the IDF are carrying out crimes in Gaza.

From the Times of Israel
"Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told lawmakers during closed-door testimony before the the Knesset’s Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee yesterday that Israel is “destroying more and more houses [in Gaza and Palestinians accordingly] have nowhere to return,” according to partial transcripts leaked to the media.
“The only obvious result will be Gazans choosing to emigrate outside of the Strip,” Netanyahu continued. “But our main problem is finding countries to take them in.”

Yes, it is disgusting, and another opportunity he is seizing from this war.

Taking on the full villain role. Netanyahu will go down in History as one of the biggest monsters ever, as will all the people who openly supported him and stayed silent or excused him by saying "I didn't vote for him".

Whatever comes next is fully on them all.

Whatsinanamehey · 13/05/2025 00:10

They aren't even trying to hide their plans for ethnic cleansing anymore.

I agree with this completely. So much denial of what was happening. Israel have said from the very beginning that their aim is to 'eliminate everything', that there 'will only be destruction', this was said back in 2023, so a long tíme ago now. People still chose to support them, still chose to pretend it wasn't about ethnic cleansing and 'destroying everything' like Israel clearly stated. This is on everyone one of them, they can look on at what is unfolding in Gaza and know that they played a part in that.

Who exactly said that, please? Because it can’t be “Israel”.

If it was Netanyahu then it’s very inflammatory language. But his fury is partly understandable if it came directly after October 7th. Not at all understandable if it was said before that massacre.

Mylegishangingoff · 13/05/2025 11:21

Gallant and the head of COGAT when speaking of how they were going to starve everyone and destroy everything.

Personally I don't think genocidal language and actions from governments can ever be understandable, partly or otherwise. It isn't a coincidence that they said they were going to destroy everything and they have. They meant what they said and useful idiots in the West have excused them and clapped them along, playing their part in what's happened and what's to come. It's not understandable to me at all.

Whatsinanamehey · 13/05/2025 12:12

"If words are not enough, look at the most authoritative data-driven assessment of famine and food emergencies in the regular reports issued by Integrated Food Security Phase Classification, or IPC. It is a joint venture by UN agencies, aid groups and governments that measures whether a famine is happening.
The latest IPC update says Gaza is close to famine. But it says that the entire population, more than two million people, almost half of whom are children, is experiencing acute food insecurity. In plain English, that means they are being starved by Israel's blockade."

Think you’re also not understanding who the “useful idiots” in the West are.

It was said after the massacre that murdered nearly 2,000 Israel citizens and took hostages of others.

When it gets to the point where you are banging on about a landmass not talking, pretending you don't know that Israel has been used as shorthand for the government the same way Russia is or Ukraine is, I'm over it, I'm bored. I wish you well but I'm not interested in any back and forths with you.
