Did anyone see this last night? Heartbreaking and enraging in equal measure.

Terrorism is intentional violence during peacetime or in the context of war against non combatants.

But yes there has been clear evidence of war crimes by both Hamas & the Israeli government.

We hear mostly one side because Israel do not allow any independent observers or media into Gaza and call almost everything coming out of Gaza propaganda.

They deliberately target reporters in a failed attempt to stop the truth coming out.

LetThereBeLove · 24/02/2025 13:56

Why only one side deemed terrorists because only one side are terrorists - Hamas.

Yes, and I stand by those statements.

What do you deem the actions of Israel in targeting civilians, sniping of children, to be ?

It is war, and yes they are horrific war crimes. But do not fall under a definition of terrorism.

What about the Christian Palestinians?

SmokeRingsOfMyMind · 24/02/2025 14:07

Wildflowers99 · 24/02/2025 13:34

Why wasn’t Britain deemed a terrorist in WW2? They bombed Germany, presumably destroyed their infrastructure etc?

The bombing of Dresden is widely, although not universally, acknowledged to have been a war crime.

They’d be living under Sharia law is Gaza self governed.

A war crime is not the same as a terrorist attack.

What nonsense. They were living in peace with the Palestinians before 1948. Now, every last one of their churches is gone, thanks to the genocide.

And what about Lebanon? And the Christians there?

Thats why @SmokeRingsOfMyMind corrected your previous comment re why wasn’t Britain deemed a terrorist.

Yes because it is not yet a Sharia law state. What would happen if it was, like 90% of Palestinians want?

What is your opinion on the hundreds of thousands of Jews forced out of Arab countries in the twentieth century (countries where some of them had had peaceful communities for hundreds of years)? Should their descendants too have the "right to return"?

What's your opinion of the holocaust and millions of Jews being slaughtered then survivors expelled from Europe?

Yes, it's very convenient that I have the ability to reject discourse brought forward in bad faith.
