Did anyone see this last night? Heartbreaking and enraging in equal measure.

I was referring to Anna Schwartz's article in the New York Times, with the claims that she later admitted she had no evidence to back.

Not 'funny' at all as I don't speak for other posters. None of the sources you quoted are ones I find to be unbiased. I watch BBC news and read the Guardian daily as well as many other news sites.

Did I say Oct 7 didn't happen? No. I said Anna Schwartz's claims in the New York Times where she described beheaded babies and mass rapes were investigated, and she later admitted in an interview with Keshet 12 (Israeli publication) that she had no real evidence to back those claims.

I believe Hamas existence will never bring peace to Gazans. I would never defend them or their corrupt billionaire leaders, I am cynical about their involvement in the BBC documentary. (You know, the subject of this thread).

Yes - this is due to the fact that a lot of people got their misinformation from this particular article. It had a bit of a snowball effect, and people still quote this article as 'fact'.

That's due to the fact that most of the claims of rape, torture, and murder came from that article, with regards to the false claims of 40 beheaded babies and mass rapes.

I was referencing the claims made in the article. I would also like to point out that the false claims in this particular article were used to illicit public consent for what cane after, which is genocide.

Hamas and their helpers were so kind to provide plenty of footage of October 7th. But I‘m sure you know that too.

I made that link. This is because it is still being referenced today to justify a genocide. In a thread where people are discussing the credibility of sources, I felt the need to bring it to attention. There was no credibility behind those claims. Which means we now have to double and triple check any claims.

I saw a bunch of things from both sides. And I double-check the creditability of all of them. Screenshots and Google reverse image searches helps to weed out a lot of the propoganda.

How do you double check the credibility, out of interest?

I‘d also be interested if pp included Hamas footage from October 7th in their thorough research.
