Abdullah is the narrator so it is not his story. He is the son of a member of the Hamas political wing who are the civil authority in Gaza. They are relied upon for an immense amount of information, everything from the Palestianian death toll in Gaza, reports of water and food shortages, hospital and infrastructure updates. Every journalist reporting from the region relies on them for this information. Why? Because Israel will not allow any independent observers or journalists into Gaza.

Was Abdullah encouraged to do the documentary? Probably because it is in everyone's interest in Gaza to get the story of what is happening there out to the world.

This humanising portrayal of the children in Gaza is extremely affecting so it is no surprise that people are trying to discredit what is a very valuable documentary with amazing access to the inside of Gaza during the war.

Was the influence of Hamas on these children part of the documentary?

Can you tell me what part of the documentary was influenced by Hamas?

noblegiraffe · 24/02/2025 01:12

Given that the narrator is the son of a high ranking official in the terrorist organisation that not only runs the civil authority, but as you said, also controls all the information that flows out of Gaza, can you tell me which part of the documentary was not influenced by Hamas?

And how do you know?

You keep saying the documentary was influcenced by Hamas. Can you tell me which part?

I repeat I am no fan of Hamas but you are aware Nelson Mandela was once deemed to be a terrorist by the Uk

This sounds like you are trying to suggest that Hamas, who conducted the October 7th massacre raping, torturing and murdering people and posting it on social media, who took hostages and paraded the coffins of dead babies to music and crowds might conceivably be incorrectly viewed as terrorists?

Wasn't all this debunked?

We've seen that Hasbara tactic time and again. Don't like what someone sympathetic to Palestinians is saying or showing? Discredit the source. I've been following this for over two decades, and it's the same talking points, the same red herrings, the same tactics, the same accusations, the same misinfornation over and over again.

There absolutely is a manual! They also just received a nice 150 mil injection to boost their campaign to repair their image. Like there is any coming back from genocide, war crimes, accusations being debunked, etc.

”same talking points, the same red herrings, the same tactics, the same accusations, the same misinfornation over and over again.”
😉
Interesting you say that ….
You’re pretty adept at those tactics yourself.

OpheliaWasntMad · 24/02/2025 07:12

I feel very very sorry for the children of Gaza.
There have been fed the sort of Hamas propaganda we see on this thread .

Hamas are psychopaths and terrorists - it’s terrifying that people in the west still trust their propaganda even after seeing the evidence of their inhuman cruelty.

Anyone who truly cared for the children of Gaza would not be a Hamas apologist.

Hamas has to be destroyed if there is to be any hope of a future for the children of Gaza.

The people on this thread defending Hamas are a disgrace

Martymcfly24 · 24/02/2025 07:13

I feel very sorry for the children of Gaza.. Israel keep killing them.

Wasn't all this debunked?

Bloody hell!

No, it wasn't debunked.

I'm so shocked that all I can say is please, please change where you get your information to a credible news source. BBC will do. Or any mainstream media.

Just not jihadi propaganda. It's not cool or clever to believe terrorists' lies.

Any right thinking person would feel sorry for the children of Gaza.
I don’t support the scale of Netanyahu’s response to October 7th.
Neither do I support the idea that a documentary about the children of Gaza should be presented from a Hamas viewpoint.
Hamas have brought harm and terror to Gaza.
They don’t care about the children of ordinary Gazans. They knew October 7th would put them in terrible danger.

You keep claiming that the documentary wasn't influenced by Hamas despite the narrator being the son of a high ranking Hamas terrorist.

How do you know? Is it because you trust the BBC who didn't know that he was the son of a high ranking Hamas terrorist, or because you trust the production team who didn't care?

You just said you agree with a poster who has just suggested that the October 7th massacre was 'debunked'. Did you not notice before cosying up to them? Or is that the sort of company you usually keep?

I was telling my DH about this thread yesterday and he asked me if I'd been accused of being a shill for Israel yet.

noblegiraffe · 24/02/2025 07:45

If you want people to trust this documentary, you need to be able to tell people why they can trust this documentary.

So I'm all ears.

It’s not what you say. It’s what you DONT say .

Hamas are murderous thugs who don’t care about the children of Gaza but will happily use them as propaganda tools

Which part of that isn’t true?
