Where is it documented?

This was published earlier this year. You'll find the author on twitter for more. Just for starters. Googling will bring up more.

Ireland, is this true?

Genocide is a legally defined thing. The people changing the definitions (Amnesty and Ireland) are the ones playing games, not Israel.

Ireland are changing nothing they are one country amongst others intervening in the South African case along with Norway Spain Egypt Mexico, but Israel don't seem to have much of a problem with them. Laws change and are updated all the time.

Playing games...

96% of children in Gaza fear they will die soon and just under half hope they do because of the lives they are living.

Pretty funny games.

Laws change in 2 ways, by government legislation, or through judgements by lawyers. Amnesty redefining genocide for their own purposes does not amount to a change in international law.

Ah here we go with every article and link showing Ireland are antisemitic. There is antisemitism in Ireland there is in most countries and racism and homophobia and so on but there is nothing to suggest it is endemic. You need to stop with your anti Irish rhetoric.

Don't move the goalposts for ghoulish effect. You introduced semantics.

I've barely said a word about Ireland on this website, what are you talking about? I was asked to provide evidence of the documentation of antisemitism in Ireland so I did. One article is hardly 'every article' is it? You're right, there is much more.

I didn't.
I was responding to the word games.

What own purposes does AI have?

Well, it was writing a report accusing Israel of genocide = the purpose of the report. It couldn’t accuse Israel of genocide unless it changed/ expanded/ broadened the definition of genocide.

How has AI changed / expanded / broadened the definition of genocide? Or is this what Israel’s government is saying to suit their narrative ?

Despite the financial crisis, Israel is going to spend 146 million USD on propaganda this year.
Expect a barrage of this kind of thing

You are showing evidence that there is antisemitism in Ireland you are ignoring the suggestion that it is any more here than anywhere else. The issue is that Israel has accused the Irish government and country of being antisemitic my point is that there is no evidence for this and it is a targeted campaign to discredit us.

Not sure who they’re trying to convince. Those that don’t agree with the government will get pissed off and feel this is propaganda and won’t believe the ads. Those that are pro Israel don’t need convincing. Seems a big waste of money to me

Afreebird · 16/12/2024 22:08

Anyone who still defends Israel's actions should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves. I am not Irish, but I stand with Ireland for their moral stance against Israel's war crimes. Ireland have put to shame other countries in the EU who have greater diplomatic power, yet refuse to use that to put an end to Israel's shocking disregard for international law.

They have a very large PR budget, but it's not very effective at all. Their own soldiers cancel out most of it by posting grinning selfies and reels on social media with dead Palestininans in the background.

Very interesting article... All seems a bit of a shit show really. You would wonder how this all will end especially for Israel themselves.

I'm concerned about the anti Irish sentiment they are portraying it serves no one to stir up hate.

Absolutely.. most of the headline articles in international papers were of the accusation that Simon Harris and Ireland are anti semitic.

EasterIssland · 16/12/2024 22:04

It changed the definition in its report. To accuse Israel of genocide.

Amnesty International made no attempt to rely on the legitimate definition of genocide and what constituents committing it.

It hasn’t changed it globally, just in its report so it could accuse Israel of genocide ( so people can ‘confidently’ shout genocide). Ireland is trying to change it globally… or is it just for Israel (not forgetting Myanmar that has been tacked on).

How is Ireland being 'cancelled'? Antisemitism in Ireland is well documented and inevitably people are going to talk about it.

What antisemitism?

JaneJeffer · 16/12/2024 22:22

It has already been explained to you that this is not true yet you are still repeating the same old thing

TrishM80 · 16/12/2024 22:26

Being anti-Israeli war crimes is not antisemitism.
