It will only lead to more deaths and misery.

Did I say pro-terrorist? I don't remember saying pro-terrorist. I remember saying that they seem to be using the same arguments as the terrorists do. I'm sure you can see the difference. One is actively supportive of terrorism and the other is more based in naivety.

Yes, I'd also like to know what they mean and who they are referring to here.

Absolutely, I have heard debunked claims (40 beheaded babies etc) repeated over social media.

Who on here specifically are you both accusing of belonging to Hasbara though? Or are neither comment actually even remotely related to this thread and should therefore be deleted? In which case you can just report your own comment as a way of asking for it to be withdrawn.

Nobody is accusing any poster on mumsnet of being Hasbara, so I have no idea where you got that idea from?

The fact is that all countries have military units and civilians dedicated to posting on social media to disseminate favourable government narratives (The UK has the 77th brigade who are prolific online).

The Israeli unit 8200 has been extremely active online across social media, saying that is not an accusation.

Back on topic, 8 IDF soldiers have been killed and several casualties have occurred today as they tried to enter Lebanon.

Israel-Iran latest: Eight Israeli soldiers killed in fighting with Hezbollah inside Lebanon, says IDF

The Israeli military and Hezbollah both report clashes in Lebanon, a day after Israel announced ground troops were crossing the border.

I can't see anyone accusing posters on here of hasbara
Why are you being the thread police?

Oh so then they should probably ask for their competent irrelevant comments to be withdrawn. I explained how to do so in my previous post. It's very simple.

So maybe clarify that your previous post actually has nothing to do with this thread. We wouldn't want anyone to think you were trying to insinuate something, right?

I hope you see the irony (and hypocrisy) in policing me about policing the thread.

And how exactly did I police you?

Lettherebejustice · 02/10/2024 18:39

@Humdingerydoo posters would probably be more likely to take into account your points if it wasn't always so confrontational and aggressive..

stormy4319trevor · 02/10/2024 18:42

Is there a government plan to occupy Lebanon once invaded, does anyone know?

Seeing as I've barely been on this board these last few months, this is another completely unfair representation of me. I'm not "always" anything as I'm barely on here. I'm really not sure where you're getting this from. Are you just saying that in the hope that others won't double-check and just assume you're right and that they should therefore ignore my posts?

You've said this a few times re people not double checking etc. So you're around enough for me to notice that.

The poster finds your style aggressive. So do I. You might not be around much but it's still obvious.

Your style is aggressive, as is the style of many others so perhaps leave it at that?

Sure. When you make comments like that I don't get defensive and accuse you of making things up. That's the difference.

You're an aggressive poster too btw 😀

I've said it twice in two or three days, which is how long I've been back on the board, and I've said it because I think that's what's happening. I think people frequently make wild accusations on social media in the hope that no one double-checks or fact checks. It's hardly some kind of 'out there' theory. I'm not sure why you think people on MN would behave differently from people on other social media.

And I'm not aggressive, that's just how you've chosen to interpret my comments.

I didn't say it's "out there". It was just an observation of a false accusation you repeatedly make.

You’re not aggressive- you’re remarkably civil in the circumstances.

It's not a false accusation.

If it's not out there it means you presumably acknowledge it's prevalent all over social media. MN really is no different.
