I've seen so many horrific pictures and videos of children blown to bits recently. One just now was literally chunks of a child, in pieces, who looked about the same age as my one year old but it's hard to tell when you're looking at tiny body parts.

Sorry I've nothing useful to add to this thread other than I feel fucking sickened. Sickened. This is genocide, sustained genocide and I hope all those who support it or aid it don't get a moment's peace.

I don't know who can be defending this. There's no scenario in which children being killed is ok. This is Mumsnet FFS! And yet, I'm sure there are those who will try.

I have stopped looking at these types of pictures because I can't cope with them anymore, but I will not stop challenging anyone who thinks what is happening in Gaza is remotely justified.
Nothing can justify this on going slaughter of the innocents. In my eyes, even trying is beyond comprehension.

Sadly there are a considerable number of people, online and offline, who do fully support the current military approach and the idea of 'removing' all Palestinians from Gaza at least. There are people who expand that to the 'removal' of Muslims in general, and who see this as "a good start", as a lovely gentleman said to me the other day.

While many people see the death tolls and feel sadness at the loss of life, many others are cheering this on.

I respect your posts because I feel you try to remain balanced. There are also some people, who still deny 7/10 was accurate in its reporting. I find it all sick, no matter who is saying it.

@ConnieCounter they really are sick, aren’t they? They look so normal and yet they are gleefully trying to do their bit to starve defenceless men, women and children. I wasn’t sure where to post this but I think it is such an important point - there is much talk of whether the average Palestinian wants to “wipe Israel off the map” and indeed this notion is being used as a justification for the crimes against humanity currently being committed in Gaza (and the West Bank, for that matter). But meanwhile the IDF, following orders from the Israeli government, are literally wiping Palestinians off the face of the earth.

It’s happening right now, Palestinians are being murdered left, right and centre. It’s not some existential threat that they fear, it’s their reality in the whole of Gaza this very second. Everyone should be doing all that they can to stop it especially if they feel a connection to Israel.
