Where the hell are all the Palestinians meant to go now?
They were TOLD to go to Rafah, that Rafah was a safe place.
It’s just open extermination at this point.

Well expressed and a good assessment of the situation. It is probably what Hamas wants and possibly not everybody can see that wool is being pulled over their eyes.

not everybody can see that wool is being pulled over their eyes.
The irony.

To people posting here aiming to deflect away from what is happening, prevent there being a space for compassionate discussion of innocent people dying in Gaza, etc:

If you have nothing compassionate or respectful to say, say nothing. It's not hard. There are many places on this board and elsewhere where people can celebrate, dismiss or ignore the murders of innocent people in Gaza. Go there. I and others like me already know what our lives mean to you. We don't need you to keep reminding us.

I have compassion for those babies being murdered. I have compassion for the kids actually starving because aid is being damaged and shot at. What is happening to those people is genocide.

We cannot also pretend that Hamas doesn’t exist or that they are freedom fighters. They have set their own people up horrifically. We have seen the leaders on tv saying the Palestinian people should be martyrs. Where is the accountability for that? Why are you not raging at that? Why?

Israel are not fighting an invisible ghost, these are real men who say they will continue to fight

It’s really disgusting to read. There are over half a million children in Rafah. And most likely many of the remaining hostages. And no safe place to go. It’s sickening to think of the imminent slaughter that’s about to happen.

I agree.

Limesodaagain · 06/05/2024 13:45

Those poor poor people in Gaza have suffered far too much. I cannot imagine how they carry on each day with the terror and anxiety they must feel. And the sorrow at the impact on their children.

Where are the posts suggesting this or supporting Hamas? People are angry and upset about what is happening in Rafah that doesn't mean we support Hamas.

What is happening to those people is genocide.
If you genuinely believe this why are you not also condemning the IDF? Because you've said they are committing genocide!

Hugosmaid · 06/05/2024 13:48

Guavafish1 · 06/05/2024 13:36

Netanyahu and Biden are both compliance in
genocide.

If some one pushes a man in to a road then a car runs them over and they die. Who is actually the killer?

The pusher
The car driver
or both?

Limesodaagain · 06/05/2024 13:53

There was a very good article in the Times by AHMED FOUAD ALKHATIB - a Palestinian living in New York. He is anti Hamas and pro Peace . He has lost 31 family members in the Gaza in this war , including young children. He described some of them in such affectionate and loving terms. All individuals.
He blames both Hamas and the Israeli government but his article makes it clear that what is happening in Gaza is inhumane and cruel.

Who is who in this scenario because it makes zero sense

I don’t think this analogy works because in this scenario the car driver is innocent- the pusher is the killer. The analogy doesn’t work

TrudyProud · 06/05/2024 14:04

@Hugosmaid

The driver!

This is why we have situational awareness as part of the driver theory test. You need to be aware of all on the road and course correct not to cause harm

@MNHQ stop censoring legitimate speech.

All over mn we complain about labour, conservatives, snp, democrats, republicans etc we complain about the UK, UAE, USA etc why is Isreal the only country, political party that we can't complain about?

Absolutely ridiculous. You are complicit because you allow those that seek to rewrite history to do so by censoring comments on Isreal allowing people so claim disagreeing with Isreal is the same as hating Jewish people. If discourse isn't allowed what is the point in this site?

If she had intended the result you could argue the case for murder I suppose.

Pedestrian who swore at cyclist and caused her to fall into road loses appeal bid

CCTV footage showed Auriol Grey, 49, shouting at retired midwife Celia Ward

Totally agree with this.
This is why I've stopped posting on this topic on Mn.

TrudyProud · 06/05/2024 14:16

@quantumbutterfly still the drivers fault.
The old lady shouting is an idiot but ultimately the driver should have seen and swerved

Well you know better than the courts I suppose.

TrudyProud · 06/05/2024 14:20

@quantumbutterfly so there are no mums in Palestine??

To be honest, if Netanyahu and the Israeli state have their way there won't be any mums in Palestine I guess.

TrudyProud · 06/05/2024 14:21

@quantumbutterfly maybe.

People get exonerated all the time. The courts called Nelson Mandela a terrorist. Do you agree they were wrong ?

It's Israel.

Tel12 · 06/05/2024 14:31

I sometimes think that if there's intelligent life out there in the universe they must be looking down on us and thinking 'if that's what they do to each other?' It's not just Gaza though. The only way for this current carnage to stop is for a ceasefire and negotiation. Israel can't eradicate Hamas, Hamas can't eradicate Israel.

No they were not!!!! Weeks ago they were told to move out of that area and that is a fact

Fact, rockets were fired from that area yesterday killing IDF soldiers and seriously injuring civllinas , The crossing was targeted by Hams in an effort to stop the humanitarian aid IMO why else would they do that

This could all stop right now if all hostages were released and the main leaders in Gaza were given up
