Where is Hind ?

Desertrose2023 · 01/02/2024 12:33

6 year old Hind Hamadeh was in a car with her family, including her mum, dad and 4 siblings. Their car came under fire from the Israeli army and her whole family was killed. Paramedics from the Palestine Red Crescent were dispatched to try and rescue her. Nothing has been heard of Hind or the ambulance crew for 48 hours!

when will these appalling incidents end.

Please raise awareness where you can about their disappearance. Here is the recording of Hind’s call begging for help.

I can't speak for @PeasfullPerson but I don't believe that's what they believe. It's something Israel have said and they could be quoting them.

Yes that’s what I was doing. Apologies the intent of my statement wasn’t clear.

ssd · 12/02/2024 22:22

They've got a nerve. They probably supplied the bullets.

ssd · 12/02/2024 22:23

It just feels like too little too late.

Its appalling that you shamelessly rather believe a declared terror group like Hamas.

I'm inclined to believe the messages my friends and colleagues got out before they died.

Why are you so surprised at people being cynical?

Earlier on in the conflict it was reported by various news channels that the Israeli Military had bombed a hospital and killed 500 people.
All over the world people were losing their minds over this news.
It turned out that it was a misfired rocket from Hamas in Gaza that had landed in the carpark. No-one had been hurt (although several cars in the carpark had been damaged).

Then there was the confused reporting of the death of Palestinian boy Muhammad aged 12 back in 2012.

So some people prefer to have proof of these claims.

Was that the one where the IDF faked audio of a phone call allegedly between two terrorists saying it was a misfired rocket by the PIJ?

The same IDF who have bombed many hospitals in Gaza?

Can't think why people thought it was the IDF, it's so unfair.

Who fired that missile has never actually been proven.

MrsBennetsPoorNerves · 13/02/2024 07:40

I'm haunted by the recording of that poor, sweet little girl. It seems that she died alone and scared. What did she do to deserve that?

There has been terrible suffering on both sides, and so often it is the children who pay the highest price. When are we going to say that enough is enough?

"Who fired that missile has never actually been proven."

It's true that no-one knew which terrorist group fired it. The report of 500 dead and the hospital being hit was nonsense. There was a small hole in the carpark.

What is appalling is that some, despite the numerous photos, videos and testimonies of people on the ground you and others carry on believing this "war" is about getting rid of Hamas.
What is appalling that children dying does not matter one bit except for the lip service of "it is very sad".
What is appalling is that lives only matter if they are Israeli ones.
What is appalling is that a country who signed up to the Geneva convention is willingly ignoring it.
I could go on.

Ah the small hole in the car park....

Missiles fitted with proximity detonation fuses explode in the air rather than on impact and therefore do not leave an impact crater.

You’re right. Shame the remaining of the hospitals have been destroyed and many killed inside the hospital and nearby… by Israel.

There are enough reports, photos and video footage from MSF (Doctors without Borders) and the Red Crescent/Cross from within the hospitals destroyed, attacked and currently under attack to know that it isn’t that we believe Hamas over IDF.

Myothercarisareliantrobin · 12/02/2024 09:53

I didn't query whether they did it.

I said that they were accused of doing it before more info came out. Then it was revealed that it was a Hamas 'own goal'.

My point continues to be that there is so much misinformation flying about that it makes people cynical about what is reported.

It was never revealed it was a Hamas attack or “own goal”. That is one of the pieces of misinformation caused by the fake IDF audio recording of two actors pretending to be Hamas talking about the rocket hitting a hospital car park.

The IDF had ordered evacuation on 13th October and then hit the Ali Arab hospital on the 14th of October with a ‘warning shell’ that was not explosive but still damaged two floors, injuring 4. This was prior to this contested rocket on 17th October so you can understand why it was initially presumed to be IDF. In addition, across Gaza there had been 51 attacks on hospitals by IDF by October 17th killing 15 and injuring 27.

As for the rocket on the 17th of October, you said it an earlier post that no one was hurt by it. This is more misinformation. The initial estimated killed was 500 due to the fact that at least 500 people were sheltering in the courtyard and the explosion then caused a massive wall of fire which then blew people into body parts. The death toll was later revised to 471 by Hamas Health Ministry and the Director of nearby Al Shifa- where most of the bodies were taken said that the death toll was at least 250 with 350 injured and the poor condition of the bodies had made it hard to estimate with accuracy.

This is not unheard of. The Oct 7th death toll was originally 2500 and has been revised downwards to 1,140. It is hardly surprising that in the immediate aftermath, that death tolls are often inaccurate. It was really the fault of the news media reporting numbers dead too quickly after the incident and then people making too much of what is an entirely predictable process of death tolls being updated as bodies are identified.

The origin of the rocket is still contested. US, Israeli and many European intelligence agencies think it was a misfired PIJ rocket that fell short of its target outside Gaza. Meaning it was an accident.

It wasn't just a carpark - it was the courtyard of Al Ailhi hospital where 100s of displaced people were sheltering some of who were sleeping in their cars

It was about 7.30pm and pitch black so difficult to see how many people had been killed

The following day US said 100-200 people died

Yes the US estimated the death toll was 100-300, likely the lower end.
But they based that on looking at video footage and their ideas as to how close together people would be in courtyard.

Well that answers everyone who wanted bullets and missiles identified as well as bodies examined for proof that IDF deliberately killed them.

Well the reason for being of the source you posted there is to discredit human rights organisations and charities who speak out against Israel's atrocities. The fact that it even exists is wild.

NGO Monitor (Non-governmental Organization Monitor) is a right-wing non-governmental organization based in Jerusalemthat reports on international NGO activity from a pro-Israel perspective.[4][5][6][7]
NGO Monitor

The organization was founded in 2001 by Gerald M. Steinberg under the auspices of the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs, before becoming a legally and financially independent organization in 2007.[citation needed]
NGO Monitor has been criticized by academic figures, diplomats, and journalists for allowing its research and conclusions to be driven by politics,[8][9][10] for not examining right-wing NGOs,[10] and for putting out misleading information.[11] NGO Monitor's stated mission is to "end the practice used by certain self-declared 'humanitarian NGOs' of exploiting the label 'universal human rights values' to promote politically and ideologically motivated agendas".[1] A number of academics have written that NGO Monitor's aims and activities are political in nature.[10][12][9]
The organization's leader, Gerald M. Steinberg, has reportedly worked for the Israeli Foreign Ministry and the Office of the Prime Minister while heading NGO Monitor.[13]”….

“Neve Gordon, writing in Law & Society Review, describes the term as part of a campaign to portray human rights as a national security threat and to impede organizations that expose human rights abuses, using NGO Monitor's activities as one of its main examples.[37]”

hmmm and their staff has been a bit naughty too.
“NGO Monitor's online communications editor, Arnie Draiman, was indefinitely banned from editing Wikipedia articles about the Israeli-Arab conflict due to biased editing, concealing his place of work and using a second account in a way forbidden by Wikipedia policy.[15]”
