Where is Hind ?

6 year old Hind Hamadeh was in a car with her family, including her mum, dad and 4 siblings. Their car came under fire from the Israeli army and her whole family was killed. Paramedics from the Palestine Red Crescent were dispatched to try and rescue her. Nothing has been heard of Hind or the ambulance crew for 48 hours!

when will these appalling incidents end.

It has been 10 days. We need to face the facts. As a pp said, they are probably all gone to heaven. The tank fired on them before and was right next to them. The last sound was something hitting the car she was in. Hind was killed by the tank like her cousins. The paramedics disappeared after reporting they were stopping at an IDF check point.

IDF knows what happened. Their silence is a confession so help them God.

@BabaBarrio unfortunately, it does seem at this point that it's unlikely that Hind or the two paramedics are still alive.

I remember the words of the Palestinian author:
“I wish children didn’t die. I wish they would be temporarily elevated to the skies until the war ends. Then they would return home safe, and when their parents would ask them, where were you? They would say, we were playing in the clouds.”

"The Palestinian Red Crescent confirm as well that its medics Yousef Zeino and Ahmad al-Madhoun, dispatched to the rescue of the girl Hind Rajab, have been found as dead bodies inside their ambulance in Tal Al-Hawa neighborhood after being missing for 12 days.

The Red Crescent says the Israeli occupation tanks deliberately bombed the ambulance as soon as it reached the site of the girl Hind, despite prior coordination with the Israeli army."

God bless this little girl. I can’t even begin to imagine the terror she felt. Spending her last hours in a car surrounded by her dead family members, only to then be murdered.

I cannot comprehend what Israel has done at this point. This is beyond anything that can ever be justified and something needs to be done now. Shame on the international community. Shame on everyone who has enabled this evil.

I wonder if we will see this reported on MSN, I already know the answer though.

If this is what has happened, then that little girl and those paramedics were murdered.

It was known that she was there, alone, and a child.

The ambulance response was coordinated.

All 3 were then deliberately killed. Essentially, those men were lured to their deaths.

Sadly consistent in many ways with widespread practices.

Absolutely brave young men that were murdered by the occupation. How many more ambulances and health care workers will they target?

I just don't understand why they would do that. It seems utterly sadistic to arrange for the ambulance and health care workers to come and then bomb and murder them when they reach there.
Is this done as a continuous scare tactic to paramedics? That they should know even they are not safe? I'm just trying to think why

I have no idea what happened, but some people are sadistic, and actually enjoy doing this sort of thing. It makes them feel powerful.

This is just a theory but...

If emergency responders know that, even in coordinated responses, the coordinating force will shoot to kill, there is an extra level of anxiety among responders. People may, quite understandably hesitate. Extra security may need to be considered if possible. Delays, lack of responders = further crippling of healthcare = more deaths.

For those of us who weren't in Gaza, we now need to factor this into our decision-making about whether to go back. Emergency and disaster healthcare has always had risks but these are now sky-high in Gaza. Is that risk of me dying and leaving my own DC without a mother now too high for me to justify going? That's the question I and many others now need to ask.

Along with impersonating healthcare workers and patients in a hospital, this all contributes to denying the people of Palestine healthcare.

That’s a good point. Is it people using the cover of war to act out their sadistic fantasies, or is it actually a tactic that is encouraged to further deny healthcare.

It must be sanctioned from the top though, because it's always happening. It's beyond belief.

@Scirocco it's a similar theory that I was thinking too. The attack on healthcare in Gaza is one I have been following very closely since the start of the war and it has been a systematic attack on all fronts. This includes buildings, workers, ambulances, patients and even displaced civilians sheltering there.

It's the same with journalists which has meant that many have now decided to stop reporting as they have families they need to think of too and what will happen to them if they are targeted.

It was clear that there are no safe places in Gaza, but it has become increasingly clear that no person is safe either. Doctors saving lives can be killed or detained and nobody can help them.
