Because, even though most won't admit to it, they do not see Palestinians as equal to them, they do not see them as humans capable of pain, love, peace, life

Maybe because of Palestinians celebrating in the wake of 9/11. Some people have long memories.

Not sure what you are suggesting with this post? You think that because some Palestinians celebrated after 9/11 (many people from other nations did too), they are not as equal to you, you do not see them as humans capable of pain, love, peace, life?
9/11 was almost 23 years ago so the children that have been killed in Palestine also deserve to be punished for something some of their fellow Palestinians did 23 years ago?
I would also like to point out that there has been a lot of footage recently of Israelis celebrating at the death of Palestinians. I am disgusted with it but I still see them as equal to me and fellow human beings.

Are you suggesting this is all happening because Palestinians celebrated 911? 🤔

Excuse me, how do you know that I am a 'she' ?

Please don't misgender me and don't be so rude to talk about me as if I wasn't here.

Most people here are she. It's mumsnet. Also, your user name is LadyJane. Let me know your pronouns and I'll be happy to use them in future.

Also, it's a public forum so I assumed you'd see it. I'll tag you next time.

So what are your preferred pronouns then?

Once again I was listening to the World at one and they were interviewing a minister in the Israeli government.
Please listen for yourselves to what she had to say.
They also had someone from UNRWAR before she spoke. The contrast in tone between the two was telling.

Well said. Unfortunately it's very true.

Ladyjanegreysketle-I don't really care, to be honest. It was almost 23 years ago. Also, the Palestinians get bombed with American weapons all the time. Noone can expect them to be happy with the US. Nor can you expect them to ever be happy with Israel, who does the actual bombing and a lot of other unpleasant stuff. I don't blame the Palestinians for some of celebrating when they had so much suffering inflicted on them.

It's funny though, but with the sound off (I am too lazy to put on my headphones right now), and without any commentary, they could have been celebrating anything. All I see is a bunch of people waving the Palestinian flags and giving peace signs. I wouldn't know if they're celebrating September 11 without someone telling me so. As I said, Israel celebrates Palestinian suffering ALL the time. Look at the Wedding of Hate, for example. And it's obvious that they're celebrating something sinister there.

Gaza was under the control of Egypt from 1949 - 1956 and then from 1957 to 1967.

Who was bombing and abusing then then?

Wow.

Israeli civilians were watching the torture of Palestinian detainees and filming them on their phones a few days ago. You must be disgusted.

This is the woman and child who were murdered by a sniper the other day. It's being reported in Al Jazeera. The woman was the child's cousin and she died immediately. The boy was still alive and his neighbours were trying to save him but they were also being shot at. By the time they were able to get to him it was too late. The boy had died.

If I were the IDF ( professional army of a democratic state) I’d be extremely concerned by having the sort of soldiers who did that in the army.

So? Why do you keep travelling further and further back in time? You were talking about some Palestinians celebrating September 11. Thousands of Palestinians both in the West Bank and Gaza were killed by the US backed Israeli military by then. I'm also yet to see you condemn Israelis repeatedly celebrating Palestinian deaths, or watching them being tortured. Instead you brought up September 11 as a deflection. And now the 1960's. We see you.

When the Al-Nasr hospital in Northern Gaza was attacked and evacuated by the IDF, the medical staff in the NICU refused to leave, but were led out at gunpoint.

IDF soldiers told clinicians that help would be given to the babies they were treating, who couldn’t not be evacuated without specialist transport.

But when there was ‘humanitarian pause’ a fortnight later, when the first hostage exchange took place, journalists returned to the Al-Nasr hospital to find the premature babies decomposing in their beds having been just left to die by the IDF. What an evil.

This video evidence is very upsetting, so please view with caution:

This was posted on these at the time and it was defended by pro Israeli posters here. I couldn't believe it. That video appears not to be blurred out like the footage available at the time so I won't watch it because knowing what happened is traumatising enough.

Wow.

I notice that you don't give a crap about how Israelis repeatedly celebrate the deaths of Palestinians and enjoy watching them being tortured (which was only the other day). You expect me to care about some Palestinians celebrating September 11 after being brutalized and oppressed by the US backed Israeli military for decades by that point?! Wow indeed.

I've heard about those poor babies. Utterly heart breaking. The Israeli military is depraved beyond words.
