My final post.

i am 55 years old, average education, 1 o level 3 CSE and 3 level 3 equal qualifications. But thanks to fate I have met some amazing people.
Like i said I met Gerry Adams and John Hume but I then worked with 2 ex British soldiers who served in Ulster in the troubles and I also knew 2 police officers who where either ex RUC or had been in Northern Ireland. All where decent humans who had different takes, but in the end peace came.

Because of my job I met a member of the Mengele family, yes his great uncle was the infamous Dr Death, he was delightful (I didn't know then he was related) and later in life as a governor of my kids village primary I helped arrange 4 different holocaust survivor's (3 Jewish and 1 Roma) to talk to the children plus 2 of them also came and spoke to my lad's rugby league team, all where amazing humans. I asked them privately about their feelings about my meeting with Mr Mengele and they said it was mixed. I won't say anymore because it was private conservation

I do know once thing, if Russian is wrong, then so is Israel. If all you Israeli supporters only want a safe and free Israel, you are going to be sadly wrong and totally heart broken, as the last 3 months has made the next 2 generations of Hamas radicals in front of our faces.

Rev Munther Isaac said " Gaza today has become the moral compass of the world, Gaza was hell before October 7th and the world was silent. should we be surprised that they are silent now? If you are not appalled by what is happening in Gaza, if you are not shaken to your core, there is something wrong with your humanity. And if we as Christians are not outraged by genocide, by the weaponisation of the Bible to justify it, there is something wrong with our Christian witness and we are compromising the credibility of our Gospel message. If you fail to call this a genocide that is on you. It is a sin and a darkness you willingly embrace

In our pain, anguish and lament, we have searched for God and found him under the rubble in Gaza. Jesus became the victim of the very same violence of the Empire. He was tortured. Crucified. He bled out as others watched. He was killed and cried out in pain: MY GOD WHERE ARE YOU? In Gaza today, God is under the rubble

And in this Christmas season,as we search for Jesus. he is to found not on the side of Rome, but our side of wall _ in a cave, with a simple family. Vulnerable. Barely and miraculously surviving a massacre. among a refugee family. This is where Jesus is found

When we glorify pride and richness, Jesus is under the rubble.when we rely on power, might and weapons, Jesus is under the rubble. When we justify, rationalise and theologize the bombing of children, Jesus is under the rubble.

This is his manger. He is at home with the marginalized, the suffering, the oppressed and the displaced. This is his manger. It's a manger that is about resilience. The resilience of Jesus is in his meekness, weakness and vulnerability. The majesty of the incarnation lies in its solidarity with marginalized.

It's resilient because this very same child rose up from the midst of pain, destruction, darkness and death to challenge empires, to speak truth to power and deliver an everlasting victory over death and darkness. I was in the United States just after Thanksgiving ans I was amazed at the amount of Christmas decorations and lights and all the commercial goods. I COULDN'T HELP BUT THINK: THEY SING ABOUT THE PRINCE OF PEACE IN OUR LAND WHILE THEY PLAYING THE DRUM OF WAR IN OUR LAND.

This is our message to the world today. It is a gospel message, a true and authentic Christmas message, about God who did not stay silent but sent his Word, and his Word is Jesus, born among the occupied and marginalized. He is in solidarity with us in our pain and Brokenness"

There is more like

"To our European friends, I never ever want to hear you lecture us on human rights or international law again. And I mean this. We are not white I guess, it does not apply to us according to your logic. In this war, many Christians and the Western World made sure the Empire has the thelogy needed. It is thus self-defence,we were told and I continue to ask, how was the killing of 9000 children self defence? How was the displacement of 1.9 million Palestinians self defence?"

or maybe
" In the shadow of the Empire, they turned the coloniser into the victim and the colonised into the aggressor. have we forgotten? Have we forgotten that the state they talk off, is a state that was built on the ruins of the towns and villages of those very same Gazans. Have they forgot that? We are outraged by the complicity of the church. Let it be clear friends. silence is complicity and empty calls for peace without a ceasefire and end to occupation and the shallow words of empathy without direct action, all under the banner of complicity"

So sorry if I have upset so many of you, but the SWP report linked earlier is the closest press report to anyone Rev Isaac said or requested from his fellow Christians and decent human beings.
So I will take all your insults and attacks and after spending the 1st 6 weeks emailing my MP (Tory but admitted I had raised numerous correct points) and all party leaders, I fell silent in despair, but if by sticking my head up to be shot at by the Empire, Rev Isaac mentions leads to readers of this thread seeing his words then so be it.

Please watch it on X(twitter) or Youtube it is about 18 minutes in total and made my family cry.
I would rather stand at the side of, and die defending, the Reverend Munther Isaac then be on the side most of this threads posters and the Western World and governments. If that makes me Anti-Semitic or a groomed terrorist well so be it, i will be happy to explain to my maker when the grim reaper knocks.

Good night,
Happy new year.
It won't be in Gaza or the West Bank, remember that as you all get drunk and congratulate yourselves tonight, 2024 could be the most dangerous year for us all since 1938/9

WibbleWobbleFlop · 31/12/2023 09:53

Ah yes, the mass murder, rape, mutilation, torture, and kidnapping is all justified. All in the name of "Socialism". Because every Israeli is an Imperialist with no regard for Palestinians whatsoever and deserves to suffer the trauma and humiliation as they did on October 7th and will again if Hamas is labelled as freedom-fighters.

There are millions of innocents on both sides. I find myself repeatedly disgusted with the far-left where I thought my freedom/equality-based political alignment rested among like-minded people.

WibbleWobbleFlop · 31/12/2023 10:51

@ParentofanewPC Having just read this thread now and your closing statement, I won't comment on whether or not you are an anti-Semite it a groomed terrorist. I don't care how you believe your "maker" will judge you. I don't care which political figures and their relatives you have met.

The only thing I will comment on is that despite the revulsion and strong urge to report your comments, I am going to leave them so that others can see the lack of empathy and critical thinking shown by you in your support of the articles linked in the OP. I hope people see it.

@ParentofanewPC Mengele was known as “The Angel of Death”. Do you know what he did to Roma children? To Jewish and Roma twins? That you used your meeting with Holocaust survivors as an opportunity to have a little chat asking them how they felt about you meeting Mengele’s “delightful” great nephew disturbs me in a way I can’t quite articulate.

It’s actually fascinating to see the corruption and erasure of Jewish history in that sermon, using the language that’s tapping almost directly into the cerebral cortex of left wing antisemites with their dopamine producing words such as genocide, oppression, colonisers, Empire.

Jesus, born among the occupied and marginalized.
Jesus, a Jew, born among the occupied and marginalized- the Jews, by the Romans.

Barely and miraculously surviving a massacre. among a refugee family.
A Jewish refugee family, surviving a massacre of Jews.

Jesus became the victim of the very same violence of the Empire. He was tortured. Crucified.
The Roman Empire. Torturing and crucifying Jews in their thousands.

I don’t understand how the language and sentiments of Christianity and the SWP can ever be reconciled. One preaches love, forgiveness and acceptance, the other preaches opposition, violence and rejection.

but if by sticking my head up to be shot at by the Empire, Rev Isaac mentions leads to readers of this thread seeing his words then so be it.

Identifying with the oppressed doesn’t mean you are oppressed. You’re not going to go into battle and die defending a side, this isn’t a binary with a right side and a wrong side. That you exhibit no compassion for human suffering on what you perceive to be the “wrong” side is surely the antithesis of Jesus’s teachings.

Trulywonderful · 31/12/2023 13:53

He really did hit that sherry last night didn't he

At the best of times his jokes are not funny and his mockery of women is pretty vile. So this drunken name change was just an extention of that. He showed as normal there is nothing he won't do to defend and try to validate is twisted Jez type ideology. Mumsnet should kick his butt off the site because he is only here to harass women as we have seen over and over again but I doubt they will.

Thank you for posting that link to the article.
Makes a change for the truth about Israeli attacks to be published in UK media, unlike MSM which has deliberately not reported about IDF attacks on Bethlehem and Jenin in the run up to Christmas or the inspiring sermon by the Reverend Munther Isaac.

As both a Christian and left wing, closest to a Trotsky my in-laws claim I see that as complement, this slaughter has helped me realise many so called Christians and centre and left wing supporters are hypo critics of the highest order, they call out Ukrainian deaths, but cheer-lead the slaughter of over 20000 Gazans.

I now no longer attend church or listen to mainsteam media and TV. the two greatest terrorist states of all time are the USA and UK, the most sanctioned country is Israel.

Thank god for the likes of Al Jazeera, Morning Star and others for tell the truth which the UK media lies and sanitises daily

You should check out the Grayzone if you no longer read MSM

Love their work, quality journalism and absolutely no shilling Grin

No shilling? Is that a joke?

Agree. I'm really struggling with trade union membership now too (have been for a while if the truth be told, due to other issues). Mine decided to "both sides" it in a statement on 10 October. They honestly make me sick. It's full of individuals who are into this SW bullshit like our friend here.
But I can't do without representation and I can't cross a picket line.

Yes agreed. I hear a certain member of the Maté family is well worth a read on the G-Zone. No bias and antisemitic conspiracy theories, and importantly, no disinformation and grifting. Which is just so refreshing to find in alt media.

Totally wandering off topic but I was reading about the failure of the Abraham Accords in the Responsible Statescraft which I think is Socialist but happy to be corrected?
The AA's failure/non failure is being discussed now in various places. But pro Israel people on here have said Hamas wanted to disrupt Israel and Saudi relations = terrible whilst some say the AA actually led to where we are today.
I 've started to read around it I am not sure yet. More reading to do
Anyhow a socialist view on it

Almost every assumption that undergirded the Israel-Arab normalization agreements was disastrously wrong, and now we are paying the price.

Anyone want to chat about this in an adult way? I could almost think you have all come alive to push it out of sight 😄Although kettle, pot and all that, I am off line now to celebrate the Ny . Hard to do with a clear conscience while Israel govt/IDF kills/starves/mutilates children and my Govt supports it.

Clearly a lot easier for many on this board with their dark souls. May the New Year bring light
