So the sexual violence is finally being properly reported by the MSM, mentioned by the UN etc. Better late than never I suppose. It's a disgrace that it took as long as it did.
@DevonDiva I was meaning to address your points. I don't think the IDF behave perfectly, in fact far from it. The recent killing of the former policeman Yuval Castleman, who bravely stopped the bus stop terrorist attack, is a good example. He was shot by an IDF member with a settler background, and Netanhayu's dissmissal of the incident has caused widespread outrage. So I can well believe how heavy-handed, lethally so, members of the IDF are towards Palestinians.
I think the issue is that people want things to be black and white, good guys and bad guys. It can be true that Israel is currently lead by a right-wing bam, and that their army behaves with heavy-handedness, and also true that they suffered a pogrom with unimaginable levels of savagary and that Hamas do pose an existential threat to their existence.
