Conflict in the Middle East

Elon Musk - what’s his plan?

Having been accused of antisemitism, Elon, the free-speech champion, spent today in the company of Netanyahu watching videos of Hamas atrocities and hearing about Netanyahu’s vision for the Middle East.
I have (I thought) a lot of respect for Elon. Does he have a plan for world peace? Did the US ask him to intervene? (as clearly, despite being “anti-Semitic”, he has the ear of Netanyahu).
Or is he simply bowing to the consumer and trying to keep his numbers up on X? I hope not, but what are peoples’ views?

Okey doke.
Be offended at something I didn’t say if you absolutely must.

No response to my questions about attempted to censor reporting of the murders of thousands of innocent children?

Attempting to censor

So you're saying you don't think that Jews were pushing the hatred against whites that they claimed was being pushed against them?

As for "censorship", it is my belief that companies can pull their adverts from a platform for any reason they wish. If someone endorsed an anti-Semitic tweet I might pull my ads from their platform too.

Oh the word twisting.

Meanwhile Israel is murdering thousands of innocent children.

The ADL is not an ad company by the way.

Okay, it is my belief that organisations can pull their adverts from a platform for any reason they wish.

Twisting? I quoted you verbatim. It's not my fault you refuse to answer a simple yes or no question.

Thereissomelight · 06/12/2023 17:52

But the ADL doesn’t place adverts. Or that’s not it’s primary function.

How can I say yes or no? I haven’t researched it so I don’t know.

Why do you keep on asking a question that has been answered three times now? I’d hate to think you’re just here to amuse yourself at the expense of thousands of murdered innocent children. I’m sure that can’t possibly be it - who would do that? - but unfortunately your motives are unclear so I’m not going to engage any further with you.

Of course that's not its primary function.

Elon Musk agreed with an anti-Semitic tweet, the same tweet that I can only assume you also agree with due to your refusal to say otherwise (kind of like the video of the University presidents refusing to say calling for genocide is harrassment). Advertisers pulled their ads because being associated with anti-Semitism is a bad look and Musk proceeded to throw his toys out the pram. At least that's my reading of the situation.

OP must be heartbroken.

Why is he viewed as anti-semitic? I thought he was of Jewish heritage? A genuine question.

He's not of Jewish heritage. He's Pennsylvanian Dutch and British heritage and grew up as a white South African under aparthied.

After being accused of anti-Semitism recently, he went to Auschwitz with right winger Ben Shapiro, and there Musk claimed that he couldn't be anti-Semitic because he has so many Jewish friends that he is "Jewish by association" and "aspirationally Jewish" Confused

https://www.businessinsider.com/elon-musk-jewish-by-association-after-auschwitz-tour-2024-1 < this article details Musk's promotion of the anti-Semitic conspiracy theory, the "great replacement", which he was criticised for prior to his visit to the concentration camp.

Is Elon Musk Jewish?

The new owner of Twitter has a Hebrew name, but surprise — he's not Jewish. Despite his gentile heritage, his name is worth looking into.
