Nasser hospital is the one that released hostage Sharon Cuoni says her and up to 30 hostages were held in, so it's not impossible that they will find bodies of hostages nearby.

I'm not going to comment on anything else to do with hospitals in Gaza, I just recognised that name of the hospital from when I read this interview the other day so thought it was worth a mention.

Edited to add: as in, I'm not trying to minimise anything that the people of Gaza are going through at the moment. Obviously having surgery with just g&a is absolutely horrendous. I'm not trying to get in to arguments with anyone about it or trying to justify anything. I'm just stating that the intelligence shows hostages at the very least have been held there even if they're not anymore.

Edited

Well that's relevant

But not one iota of sympathy or empathy or understanding from you for the people whose relatives are being needlessly dis-interred/taken off to Israel/to be returned en masse and unidentifiable?

Thankfully most people can feel for both those relatives and the desperate hostage families too

Previously posters on this board were accused of lying for saying that the Gazans have been recording and showing footage of the IDF bulldozing graveyards and leaving them in a horrific state. We were told that these are false accusations against the IDF.
After they leave, the Gazans have been going back and trying to identify which parts belong to which corpses and then finding a place to try and re-bury the dead.
Even if the IDF believe it a necessity to try and identify killed hostages, I can't understand why they would leave the graveyards in such a state with the utmost disrespect to the deceased and their families.
According to the CNN, they have identified 16 cemeteries which have now been damaged or parts of it bulldozed

I'm sorry I didn't display enough sympathy or empathy for your liking. I feel like you're purposely misconstruing my comment though to try and start an argument and score some kind of point. I'm not interested in any kind of argument about this though as there isn't really much to argue about as I don't disagree that it's incredibly sad that it's come to this.

Not a matter of insufficient sympathy/empathy - there was - NONE

And don't see why you shouldn't be pulled up about it even if you don't like it

Thank you for that additional information @Parkingt111 it's clearly a deliberate strategy but not beyond the wit of man or IDF to do this in a more respectful way

Including returning bodies

So Parking gets a thanks for the additional information and I get a lecture on not displaying sympathy and empathy (for the right thing apparently as determined by you, as I apparently should have shown it for those who were buried and not for those undergoing surgery with only g&a) in every single one of my posts? Where is your sympathy for the hostages that were held there and are possibly buried there? I didn't see you show any in your recent posts? Would it be helpful if I started pulling you up on it every time you haven't displayed sympathy for Israel, Israelis and/or the hostages? Or would it be an utterly ridiculous and immature thing for me to do?

Please just leave me alone now, I really don't want this thread derailed but you can't attack me and reasonably expect me to let you just say whatever nonsense you want about me without it being challenged.

You said you didn't want an argument with me yet here you are arguing!

And telling me to leave you alone

Maybe do as you say and go away

It's a very upsetting topic and i don't think anyone wishes ill on either side. It is a really sad situation for all involved and I hope it all comes to a end soon.

Parkingt111 · 19/01/2024 10:58

There's also been reports of a worrying increase of Hepatitis A and jaundice. Which doesn't help with the lack of aid and facilities to treat it

@Parkingt111 the voice of reason.

Parkingt111 · 22/01/2024 08:26

The Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said the agency’s ambulances are unable to reach the injured in Khan Younis, in the southern Gaza Strip, as Israeli forces are “besieging” the PRCS’s ambulance centre and “targeting anyone attempting to move in the area”.
The PRCS said earlier this morning that Israeli tanks were nearing al-Amal city hospital in Khan Younis and that it had lost all contact with its team in the area due to the ground offensive.

Parkingt111 · 22/01/2024 08:28

There has been intense airstrikes in Khan Younis overnight. I have seen videos where the inured and dead are arriving at the hospitals in make shift carts because the ambulances can't reach them

Toothyfruity · 22/01/2024 11:56

I heard an interview with the Israeli ambassador to Ireland blaming Hamas for Israel's attacks on Red Crescent ambulances and blatantly lying about Isrsel blocking aid from coming in. And lots of other lies.

It's depressing at this stage listening to diplomats speaking absolute nonsense and lies to justify the continued genocide of Palestinians.

Parkingt111 · 22/01/2024 15:51

@Toothyfruity that's terrible. Situation at An Nasser hospital is also really bad. There's heavy airstrikes near it and it's too dangerous to try and reach a cemetery to bury the dead. Reports today show graves being dug on the hospital grounds to bury those who have died

Efacsen · 27/01/2024 07:58

The carnage continues - latest on hospitals in Khan Younis

Vital medical services at Gaza’s largest functioning health facility have collapsed amid ongoing intense fighting and bombing in Khan Younis in southern Gaza, leaving people with no options to go for treatment, Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) has warned. Most of the staff at Nasser hospital, along with thousands of displaced people sheltering in the hospital, fled in the days leading up to the evacuation order by Israel Defense Forces (IDF), while the European Gaza hospital is “unreachable” for medical staff because its neighbouring areas are under evacuation order, it said. Nasser hospital in Khan Younis in southern Gaza has experienced a complete power outage, according to reports.

IIRC Nasser hospital represented 20% of Gaza's recent remaining hospital capacity - so a huge loss

Parkingt111 · 27/01/2024 10:04

The WHO Chief posted this which includes footage of the total carnage in Al Nasser hospital. It's beyond belief how a hospital can barely operate in such conditions

@Efacsen the last I saw Al Amal hospital was still under siege two days ago, there was shelling in the vicinity of the hospital and anyone who tried to leave was sniped.
I'm trying to see if I can find an update for today

@Parkingt111 that clip of film of the ER is shocking - how can any proper care be provided in all that chaos and overcrowding

OP posts:
Parkingt111 · 27/01/2024 11:32

@Efacsen it's just absolute chaos, and after Al Shifa it seems that it has just become acceptable to continuously target hospitals that are filled to the brim with injured and displaced civilians

This is the Doctors without borders press release from yesterday on the collapse of the health care system in Gaza

Horrendous.

Thank you for updating this board, and counting to share what isn’t always reported in enough detail in the MSM.

Parkingt111 · 27/01/2024 12:22

Just read a update for Al Amal hospital by the PRCS, Sadly it is still under siege. They also posted separately that a 28 year old has been shot and killed in the grounds of the hospital

Parkingt111 · 27/01/2024 12:23

The PRCS condemns the siege and targeting by the Israeli occupation of PRCS Al-Amal Hospital, and its branch headquarters in #KhanYunis for the sixth consecutive day. The Israeli occupation continues to bombard the vicinity of the hospital and open fire, jeopardizing the safety of medical staff, the wounded, patients, and approximately 7000 displaced individuals who sought refuge there to escape Israeli bombardment.
📢 PRCS calls on the international community to provide protection for its headquarters and medical and EMS teams in Khan Yunis. 👇

Parkingt111 · 28/01/2024 12:11

PRCS have put out a statement that Al Amal hospital can no longer perform surgeries as they have ran out of oxygen supplies.
Just when you think it can't get any worse

Efacsen · 28/01/2024 16:00

@Parkingt111 thanks for all the updates - absolutely tragic what's happening
