@Parkingt111 Cameron, or was it Sunak?- trying to brush it off as just one comment from an individual re: Hotovely's comments. As if they don't know it's government policy. Politicians treat us like idiots, and I wonder if they hope we will all get distracted soon and the Palestinians can be quietly wiped out or removed.

Down to 5 partially functioning hospitals in Gaza - 2 described as overwhelmed

Agree it's awful what's happening on WB - similar tactics and agenda

This isn't quite true thought it didn't sound right - all 5 remaining hospitals are overwhelmed

@Efacsen yes they all are
I'm going to see if I can find an update today for the field hospital that was being set up
The last I saw volunteers were helping with the ground work except there wasn't severe rain then and the ground pretty dry
So I am not sure if the weather has hindered any progress
It's also scary to see how each day the injuries are increasing but the capacities in the hospitals that are barely functioning are decreasing

Efacsen · 16/12/2023 07:52

Tip-toeing carefully around the DM 'deposit' which is simply IDF propaganda - there was no follow up from MSF about the welfare of their doctors at Adwan hospital

Total telcomms blackout again so maybe difficult to contact their staff

Any news on the field hospital @Parkingt111 ?

Parkingt111 · 16/12/2023 10:43

@Efacsen unfortunately no update
Doctors without borders put up a message yesterday on the increase in attacks including on healthcare in the occupied west bank

Our teams are witnessing a shocking increase in Israeli attacks against civilians in Jenin, the West Bank. Attacks on healthcare have also increased dramatically and become systematic.

Somebody posted this on another group about Kamal Adwan hospital. It's from Al Jazeera

Israeli bulldozers crush sick, wounded Palestinians outside Gaza hospitalAnas al-Sharif, our colleague at Al Jazeera Arabic, is reporting from the ground in Gaza that Israeli bulldozers have trampled over the tents used by Palestinians taking shelter outside Kamal Adwan Hospital and brutally crushed them.
“A terrifying massacre and unspeakable scenes. What the Israeli occupation did inside Kamal Adwan Hospital is a horrific crime against citizens and medical staff,” al-Sharif said in a post on X.
“Dozens of displaced, sick and wounded people were buried alive. The occupation [Israeli] bulldozers trampled the tents of the displaced people in the hospital yard and brutally crushed them.”

barkingmel · 16/12/2023 11:26

@Parkingt111 that is truly horrific. The ICC & Hague beckons.

stormy4319trevor · 16/12/2023 11:26

@Parkingt111 Oh dear God. That sounds appalling.

Parkingt111 · 16/12/2023 11:28

It's not been picked up on MSM yet but it probably will soon so will post up what they say/report if I come across it

Thereissomelight · 16/12/2023 11:29

It’s getting more and more blatant, in Gaza and the West Bank. We’re watching live snuff movies every day.

God help them. Unbelievable.

Efacsen · 16/12/2023 18:50

@Parkingt111 still putting it up

Work on Qatari field hospital in Rafah continues

The Palestinian Red Crescent says its teams continue working on establishing the Qatari field hospital, in collaboration with their Qatari counterpart.

The hospital, the PRCS said, will provide healthcare services to thousands of displaced individuals in south of Gaza.

The hospital, expected to resume operations this week, will include 50 beds, an operating room, and an intensive care unit. The PRCS medical teams will manage and operate the hospital.

Something at least. That focus of civilisation will be so important to everyone down there.

This alone is like something out of the worst horror movie. This is supposed to be a civil state. The ICC is too good for these terrorists!

Parkingt111 · 16/12/2023 19:21

@Efacsen thank you for the update. I'm glad to hear it
It's impressive that I will have a ICU but it may take awhile before it's up and running?
They definitely need more assistance in health care

feralunderclass · 16/12/2023 19:26

The medical situation is so terrifying. It won't be long before a single hospital is functioning. I saw an appeal on SM asking Arabic speaking ob/gyns to do online antenatal consultations with women in their last trimester. I cannot imagine how utterly terrifying it must be to be in the final stages of pregnancy. The 'civilized' world wouldn't allow a dog to suffer this. God help them.

Efacsen · 16/12/2023 22:02

I don't know if this will work but if you click on the twitpic there's film of the field hospital being erected - I hope

Please watch Dr Ben Thomson speak if you haven't already. Absolutely unconscionable.

Parkingt111 · 16/12/2023 23:19

@braticus i have been following the updates on healthcare attacks in Gaza since the start of the war but hearing it listed like that still shocked me.
There's no words to describe it
