There also 3 year old twins, cousins of the 5 year old girl released yesterday, amongst other children.

These are children still being held hostage, not released.

Kaffeebitte · 25/11/2023 22:05

So is that all the children now? I thought there was a 10 month old baby? There’s a 21 year old on the list. I wonder how they come up with the list or if it’s by location where they’re held

There's quite a lot more children yet.

Readingallnight · 25/11/2023 22:12

I wouldn’t be surprised if their current location is an issue.
Especially as some of the younger children seem to not have been released whilst older people are.

It will make no difference at all.
There is a grand plan for Gaza and it doesn’t include the Palestinians.
Irrespective of hostage release.
However, Once the agreed number of hostages are released the bombing and shootings will be far worse than we have seen so far.

Its like waiting for death…it’s inevitable.

You don't think this could lead to a ceasefire? I hoped that Biden might push for it. Gaza is pretty much destroyed, not sure what else they can bomb.

StarbucksSmarterSister · 25/11/2023 22:18

There are still several young children, 10 months, 3, 4, 8, 9, plus kids in their early teens.

More not mentioned above:

Sahar and Erez Kalderon, 16 and 11.
Ofri, Yuval and Oriya Brodetz, 10, 8 and 4.
Eitan Yahalomi, 12.
Gal and Tal Goldstein, 11 and 9.
Yuval Engel, 11.
Gali Tarshansky, 13.

I can't believe Kfir, Avigail and the 3 year old twins (Ema and Yuly) haven't been released yet. Tiny children.

I think it depends on the public .
The more the public are outraged, the more they march and shout for a ceasefire the more likely Biden et all will call for an end to this.
Hes watching the polls.

They are people pleasers.
If any of them gave a s…. for civilians in Gaza they would never have supported Netanyahu in the first place.

They watch, they wait, they worry about re election

Stomacharmeleon · 25/11/2023 22:23

@InvisibleDuck it has been mentioned that the twins have been released but I am not sure.

It was also stated on sky news that Hamas have broken the terms of the agreement by separating families. Will be interesting to see what happens tomorrow.

Readingallnight · 25/11/2023 22:24

I haven’t seen any news on Palestinians released so far.
Have I missed something.

Stomacharmeleon · 25/11/2023 22:24

@InvisibleDuck sorry I misread what was said.

It appears they are still being held.

stormy4319trevor · 25/11/2023 22:28

Thanks @Readingallnight At least some hostages are being released now. Hoping the whole thing doesn't fall apart. No news on Palestinian releases yet, I think.

Parkingt111 · 25/11/2023 22:29

The hostages have just been confirmed to reach Israeli territory now

I think once it's confirmed that the correct hostages were released according to the list then the palestinian detainees will be released

The deal yesterday was that Israel wouldn’t sanction the handover of Palestinians until ‘theirs’ had reached Israeli soil.
So I’m guessing very soon now

Humdingerydoo · 25/11/2023 22:37

Apparently the reason for the delay today was at least partially because Hamas were planning on breaking the ceasefire agreement by splitting up a family, which they have now done. Hila Rotem, 12, has been released while her mother Raya is still in Gaza.

So was this after the list of names was given to the Israeli ministry? As they confirmed to have recieved the names a few hours prior to the planned release

Hasn't Israel already broken the ceasefire agreement by shooting at Palestinians who were trying to head back up north?

Parkingt111 · 25/11/2023 22:51

@Lobster7 it would depend if it was part of the agreement that was made between Hamas and Israel that civilians would not be allowed back to the north

Humdingerydoo · 25/11/2023 22:52

I believe not going up north was part of the agreement, so that wouldn't constitute breaking it, no. I'm not sure if that's correct though, different sources say different things about what was included in the agreement.

@Parkingt111 weren't they given the list last night or something? I was reading earlier today about this breaking up of families issue, but I thought at the time that it was to do with tomorrow's hostages being released

Parkingt111 · 25/11/2023 22:53

If it was agreed on then I'm not sure if the ceasefire was broken, although I don't ofcourse agree with shooting and killing civilians who wanted to go back to check on their homes

Ibizafun · 25/11/2023 22:54

Avogail aged 3 saw her parents murdered and ran to the next door neighbour covered in their blood. I hope she is in the next lot to start the therapy she will need.

StarbucksSmarterSister · 25/11/2023 22:59

One of the hostages, Maya Regev, has reportedly been taken to hospital in a "complex medical condition" but it doesn't seem that her life is in danger. She is 21 and was kidnapped from the music festival, where she was shot. Her brother is still a hostage I think.

Honestly, the things these kids have been through, the things they must have seen. 3 year olds remember. They are aware. I wonder who she is with? If she knows any of the other hostages around her from the kibbutz? One can only hope :(

Yes, before I get jumped on, I'm aware children in Gaza are suffering immensely and going through an excruciatingly traumatic time. They can't un-see the death and destruction around them. I'm aware of this.

And the reduced aid sent
