Took place in North London.
Perhaps I should add this to the
Who supports Hamas thread.

'Something confusing happened on the way, which I think is a testament to how bad things have become for the Jewish community in this country. People kept coming up and thanking me for being there, which made me a bit uncomfortable.

It’s not that I didn’t appreciate their expressions of thanks, they were very moving. It’s just that I was thinking, ‘well what else do you expect me to do?’
Why is it such a surprise that a non-Jew attends a march against antisemitism?

Sadly, it seems that antisemitism has somehow seeped into the very bones of this country, not only since 7 October, but before that – since left-wing antisemitism ran rife in the Labour party from around 2015, if I’m honest.'

Yes, I had several thanks and hugs. It was actually quite upsetting.

One of my friends just shared this on twitter. Visits down and schools cancelling their trips to Manchester Jewish museum. There can be no reason to not visit a jewish organisation that you would otherwise have gone to except antisemitism or fear of being seen to support Israel by antisemites. .https://www.manchesterjewishmuseum.com/news/our-chanukah-appeal/

Manchester Jewish Museum — Our Chanukah Appeal

On behalf of the whole museum team, we'd like to wish you a peaceful holiday season and a happy Chanukah. Your support in these difficult times has been more important than ever and in this article we’re sharing details of how you can help us continue...

True, which is really messed up and a terrible example to children

WhileMyDishwasherGentlyWeeps · 04/12/2023 21:34

Well, well. It looks like Hamas - or its paymasters in Iran - might have played the stockmarket to make a ton of cash out of death and rape.

But they’re only interested in freedom and self-determination, obvs.

Someone bet against the Israeli stock market in the days before Hamas' Oct. 7 attack

Big bets against Israeli stocks before Oct. 7 suggests someone may have known about the attack in advance, a new study says.

Have been there a couple of times.

You will need to show more evidence that this apparent downturn is due to "anti semitism" Sharon.

Congratulations

Plus the poster needs to show nothing more as evidence than the link. Unless they chose to add more 'evidence'

How else would you explain an uncharacteristic downturn, the lowest month in the year and 'Concern from parents has seen many schools cancel their planned visits'?

Feel so sorry for these kids. The fact that this was cheered on by passengers is also extremely worrying. Wth is happening in the UK?

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/crime/jewish-antisemitism-israel-bus-tfl-b2456673.html

I'd be scared to send my kids to school after something like that.
I can't believe people not only sat by and did nothing but cheered the bus driver on. Disgusting! I hope they find the driver

The link is not evidence of anti semitism.
Feel free to show how it is.

Why to you constantly demand more evidence off posters

Nobody owes anyone more than what they chose to post

Most people understand how to look at a link and come to their own conclusions too

Your conclusion is everything isn't antisemitism, we get that about your posts. So just say it and stop demanding people jump through hoops to provide things that are pretty straight forward and transparent to most other users

There was something on Columbia university I saw. I can’t tell if anyone posted it yet

Yes, US researchers have reported that large numbers of shares in Bank Leumi (an Israeli bank) were short sold.

It will be interesting to see who sold them. I hope investigators can get to the bottom of this.

Thereissomelight · 05/12/2023 10:06

It’s funny because according to Wikipedia Bank Leumi was formed by Zionists specifically to aid in the financing of Zionist projects. It has been involved in controversies in the US, eg aiding clients with tax evasion.

It would be strange if Hamas had lots of shares in it.

Would be interesting to see who sold those shares.
