this thread is to document the racist, criminal and dehumanizing behaviour by the most “moral army in the world” both during its most recent bombardment of Gaza and across decades of military occupation in the West Bank.

James O'Brien on his show today said he believes Israel wants to effectively destroy Gaza now at whatever the price in civilian deaths as the price worth paying to neuter Hamas for the foreseeable future. Genocide pure and simple now aided and abetted by Western governments. Israel may get away with it but they will never be forgiven or their war crimes forgotten and they have lost any support from the developing world and the youth probably forever. He also said that he had heard 400 civilian deaths for 1 terrorist was the current awful rate of exchange.

Nah, not off topic perfectly encapsulates the Hasbara and extremely funny too and from the Palestinians I've listened too on Twitter spaces they're an extremely resilient, funny and lovely people!

One incident I heard from multiple people that I met at an UNRWA school recounts the story of a woman carrying her child and walking along Salah al-Din. Her child would cry loudly as she carried him, multiple people told me, all repeating the same details and recounting the same sequence of events that would follow: a soldier, annoyed by the child’s screeching, “sniped at him” from a distance and shot him in the head as his mother carried him. The soldier then picked up his megaphone and ordered her to throw him by the side of the road and keep walking.

In utter shock, the woman wailed and cried but eventually was forced to obey the soldiers’ orders at gunpoint, who surrounded her from the side and were also perched on top of a tank. Everyone told me the same thing: that the woman was forced to set down her lifeless child and continue, screaming and crying the entire way.

So many horrific stories in that article linked above.

It isn't the first time they've done this, not even to a child. Disgusting. I see they're still trying to lie their way out of everything too, luckily people see through it now.

Palestinian children aren't built differently - they've simply had to adapt in order to survive the daily traumas of the occupation. I read somewhere that every single Palestinian child has witnessed at least one person killed before their eyes. The checkpoints, the nightly raids, threat of soldiers, arrests, sexual/physical assault, malnutrition, disrupted education, homelessness, absence of parents due to death or imprisonment, displacement etc etc. Every single day involves risk of death to these people. A death for which no one will be called to account. End the occupation and let the Palestinians be free! 🇵🇸

There are 5 million Palestinians living in the West Bank and Gaza, if half of them are under 18, are you asserting 2.5 million Palestinian children have witnessed at least one person being killed?

@25milesfromhome apologies, I made a mistake. A study in 2020 by al-Khodary revealed that >80% of adolescents in Gaza had experienced the loss of a friend or close relative, witnessed the personal trauma of those close by, and witnessed a house demolition as a result of the war. Those figures will be much higher now obviously, and I'd take a guess at least 50% of adolescents have seen someone killed.

Just seen this update. Hamas are not willing to release anymore hostages until Israel halts the attack and frees all prisoners.
