this thread is to document the racist, criminal and dehumanizing behaviour by the most “moral army in the world” both during its most recent bombardment of Gaza and across decades of military occupation in the West Bank.

to start, here is a video of Israeli soldiers chanting they will turn Gazans into Kebabs.

@treeees No problem at all. Let me warn you it's extremely harrowing.

Israel refused to take back bodies of hostages who died in the air raids.

Hamas wants a permanent ceasefire but Israel are refusing.

Thank you got your answer re the Palestinian inter-family stabbing earlier. I had missed it while writing that I had found the answer from another poster and have just noticed.

Queucumber · 30/11/2023 20:41

Now you’re using a Hamas spokesman as a source and taking it as fact.

noblegiraffe · 30/11/2023 20:45

Israel refused to take back bodies of hostages who died in the air raids.

The three bodies are the mum with her two children, including baby Kfir. They posted a video of the weeping father. It's psychological warfare and you are posting as if it is a humanitarian offer.

I wasn't aware of who they were. I can't imagine how the father must be feeling.

No-one is aware of who the bodies belong to, it has not been confirmed.

ScrollingLeaves · 30/11/2023 20:57

If I were their family I would desperately want their bodies but weren’t they refused because they would have been released instead of three living hostages?

Israeli forces have demonstrated - yet again - a chilling indifference to the catastrophic toll on civilians of their ongoing relentless bombardment of Gaza, said Amnesty International today.

As part of an ongoing investigation into violations of the laws of war during the conflict, Amnesty has documented two illustrative cases in which Israeli airstrikes killed 46 civilians, including 20 children. The oldest victim was an 80-year-old woman and the youngest was a three-month-old baby. These attacks must be investigated as war crimes.

I've just seen this on Sky news.

Yes I don't understand why they refused to accept them

If the Hamas deal was either the three bodies or three living hostages, the Israeli government may have weighed up that however much they and the family want the bodies, the living hostages must be the priority.
Does anyone have a clear, verified report?

How cruel and how sad for the family who have seen the other hostages be released but now have no hope.

ScrollingLeaves · 30/11/2023 22:05

BBC1 news says there is only Hamas’s claim that they are dead, that Israel has not confirmed it.

whatswrongwiththeworldddd · 30/11/2023 22:06

@ScrollingLeaves I understand that. I thought I read the three dead bodies were in addition to the living hostages.

ScrollingLeaves · 30/11/2023 22:12

Everything seems very unclear about them at the moment.

BBC news just showed a Palestinian boy who was released this week. His hands are bandaged. He said he was beaten before being released but Israel had released footage of him in prison and him getting on the Red Cross bus with his hands un bandaged as proof this was a false claim. (Yesterday on Channel 4 news an Israeli minister was interviewed and he reported this as a Palestinian lie too.)

The BBC said however that his hands and wrists had simply been untreated after the beating until he was on the Red Cross bus, and that X rays confirmed they were fractured. Viewers were shown the X rays. His relatives have to help him eat.

Viewers also saw other signs of abuse on his body.

His older brother say he is now a different person from the one he was. He seems broken.

Apparently there are many reports of abusive treatment of Palestinians in prison having increased since the Hamas Oct 7 terrorist attack.

ssd · 30/11/2023 22:52

The treatment of the Palestinians in the west bank, appalling as it was before oct 7th, had got much worse too.

ssd · 30/11/2023 22:53

And apparently there's been more Palestinians put in prison than released lately too.
