She is obviously part of the very far left and their sick obsession with Jews. People may try and claim that Islamic extremists in this country are more of a threat and yes they are right in the physical sense (The far right are a threat too like that). However this woman has not had anywhere near the negative life experiences as most Islamic extremists. Which means she a white looks like middle classed woman in the UK is on a course of Jew hate despite no extreme reason or trauma of her own.

It is heartbreaking to me that their are people like this and horrifying that many many more can be apologists for this behaviour.

@Trulywonderful Yes, and the thing is they've been around for ages just waiting for something like this to happen, enabling them to be more explicit and visible with their hatred because they believe they have an audience now that are more willing to listen to them. They are positively relishing in this war which they are using as a vehicle to mainstream their hatred, and certainly don't give two hoots about Palestinian lives, just their own white, middle class tribal politics.

It's really distressing because it's just a matter of time before their methods become more akin to the far right's (I suppose they are already) and then - what does that mean for us, as British Jews? Hide? Change names? I was just thinking this morning that I'm glad myself and kids have DH's Irish surname, and I'm not really a great believer in women taking their husband's name. It just makes things easier, sadly.

Cognitive dissonance. If in your head you’ve got goodies on one side and then absolute bastards on the other, then the reminder that it’s a bit more complicated than that must be something uncomfortable to be confronted with.

As the other side are ‘baddies’ then the photos of kidnapped children can’t be anything about concern for hostages held by a fucking awful set of terrorists, it must be baddie propaganda and therefore needs attacking and destroying.

The question is asked ‘why are they up in London when they are held in Gaza’ which just makes one wonder why the marches are in London when the conflict is in Gaza.
