Shocked by the racist signs at marches

Maybe I’m just severely naive but I’m honestly just shocked at the levels of racism of some of the signs at these marches. It’s just caught me really, really off guard.

Question is, who is behind this?

Possibly Russia I guess, they're a partner with Iran. But bloody hell there is no shortage of useful idiots in the West to assist.

Yes I would say that's the case - a lot of money will be changing hands with willing academic grifters in the West. It's just an extension of what they've been doing already over Syria, Ukraine, etc.

True

During covid Russia was doing similar but not quite so advanced stuff. AI being used is new that's for sure

We were all asking if people had a link other than Instagram too. Goes to show people should always trust their git on these things

Trulywonderful · 20/11/2023 21:00

Russia would get involved in this just to cause unrest in Europe

Putin has been using the destraction of conflict and protests to really hammer the Ukraine in the last month.

Stomacharmeleon · 20/11/2023 21:03

@Trulywonderful whilst people aren't paying attention.... have a new toy to play with.... Russia is going to town on the Ukraine.

Possibly why Cameron went there?

SovietSpy · 20/11/2023 21:10

Interesting article. It might be a long shot but I also feel China happily encourages destabilisation of the West so wouldn’t rule out their involvement in amplifying fake accounts and propaganda especially via tik tok. I always used to think the calls to ban tik tok seemed heavy handed but I’m starting to think it wouldn’t be a bad thing. The amount of rubbish on there that is actively forming people’s opinions is scary.

Cameron has probably been itching to go there for a long time. I mean everyone else he knows in the Tory party seem to have gone.

Honestly I think it is just part of his new job now to check in with the Ukraine

They definitely would have been talking about Putin and recent events in that conflict though

SomeCatFromJapan · 20/11/2023 21:11

Seriously China played a blinder with Tiktok. Utter brain rot.

etmoiandme · 20/11/2023 21:16

I don't think we're far off from TikTok being footnoted in PhD theses (as a credible reference source, not subject matter).

Brace yourselves I’ve got another question.

So you’re saying the stuff on TikToc isn’t just a load of nonsense but in fact actual propaganda? (certainly I wouldn’t put I’d past the Russians)
But what makes you think this.

Overall Tiktok does seem dangerous at the best of times. However during this conflict other than them being amused at the west seeming flustered. I don't think they are doing this. It took a lot of nagging but they have been trying to stop the flood of propaganda I think. It isn't good for business if Tiktok get banned.

They do have much more restrictions on Tiktok in China then we do here. Which is something maybe the west should start demanding too. It is a difficult one though because you don't want to mess with free speech at the same time

They got caught doing similar with fake accounts during covid. The aim was apparently to cause unrest in the west

Also it all helps to distract the world from what is happening in Ukraine

Plus Putin has made some dodgy friends that are paying Hamas to fight Israel

Yes, very true

Actually was it not TikTok that started marking certain accounts as Iran or Russia 'State Controlled Media' like Twitter used to do?

etmoiandme · 20/11/2023 21:24

Was hilarious when Galloway and D. Miller got their state controlled label on Twitter.

China is definitely leading the way. So much more money to throw at sophistication, that ends up being tat. Easily accessible tat, by the masses.

Parkingt111 · 20/11/2023 21:36

@SomeCatFromJapan shocking that!
Their version of tiktok for kids doesn't even sound that bad

“If you’re under 14 years old, they show you science experiments you can do at home, museum exhibits, patriotism videos and educational videos,” said Harris, according to “60 minutes ” adding that children in China were limited to only 40 minutes a day on the app.

Edited

Sounds ideal for an under 14 year old that's for sure

It sounds really wholesome and educational, doesn't it?

Stomacharmeleon · 20/11/2023 22:20

@Trulywonderful so they do not deny causing thousands worth of damage, burglary, trespass etc but pled not guilty?

Sparklytops · 20/11/2023 22:47

Just been watching the news. I hope Emily comes back to her father. He presumed she was dead. His anguish is so clear to see. Devastating.

I know this case is particularly heartbreaking to me

She better make it out of there alive and no fuckwit better say afterwards that Hamas looked after her well or anything near that.

Apparently protesters and activists arecnow getting away with this stuff

Fantastic deterrent going on. I mean no wonder we are seeing people openly do horrible things. They know that even if it goes to court they will likely walk free

Nine XR zealots are CLEARED of £500k criminal damage bank attack

The nine female XR activists sang and chanted as they used hammers and chisels to shatter the custom-made windows at the HSBC building in Canary Wharf, London on April 22 2021.
