I thought this was an interesting article about Gaza’s systems of tunnels which would help explain what the IDF are trying to get at.

Here’s a crazy thought, if Israel treated Palestinians like human beings and didn’t make them live under occupation and blockade then perhaps they would be less motivated to harm Israel? I believe a poster earlier quoted that 85% of Hamas members had a least one parent killed by Israel.

I have at least one grandparent killed by an Arab country during that time they violently ethnically cleansed their nation of all Jews, confiscated all their property and assets and expelled them. Plus the Arabs on the land committed many riots and massacres before 1948. The fact that the Arabs and the Jews were going to kill each other once the British left was a big push for the international community to draw up plans to split the land. Other things were involved but the Arabs having the land that is now know as Jordan and the Jewish having the part that is Israel was supposed to bring peace.

However, given that at least 6 times more Palestinians have been killed than Israelis since this more recent conflict started (not counting those murdered by Israel during the course of the year before this) and most of them women and children, yes my posts are focused on them.

and when it comes to compassion I’ve seen very little, if any, compassion for Palestinians from the Pro Israeli posters on these threads. Only deflection, excuses and attempts to change the narrative. And I don’t think Israel needs Hamas’s help to demonize itself. It’s doing a stellar job, including through how it operates and treats civilians in the West Bank where Hamas doesn’t govern.

I think this is a pointless conversation really. Personally I have no idea what you think about Jews or if you realise sometimes you say stuff that sounds like a old trope. My issue will you is that you are blinkered the deaths of everyone elsbut Palestinians and blinkered to the feelings other people have about the conflict. Unless people think and behave exactly like you want them to you act like they are doing something wrong. Sorry but people can process their own emotions in a different way.
