This has to stop. No debates about which side is right or wrong. Come on people no one with any shred of humanity can surely say what is happening in Gaza right now is ok under ANY justification. I’m absolutely heartbroken to see the world just watching and doing nothing. And getting angrier by the day. I’m in Ireland and thank god our government is calling for what’s right. But they are not doing enough. No one is. There is no politics or background or religion or any moral reason on this planet that makes what’s happening ok. If you think so I think that’s appalling. Each individual needs to do something to say NO to this slaughter, aside from what beliefs you hold about who the ‘good and bad guys’ are.

I like the idea, but am not sure diplomacy works with Hamas. If it did, I'd be there making them all cups of tea until everyone was smiling and shaking hands.

The west are basically backing a country to starve 2 M people to death.

diplomacy do not wark with hamas, but work with humanity. hamas will be eleminated by humanity if Israeli civilians stop giving up their lives and act to decide who should represent them.

So are you saying that if the only way to get rid of Hamas is to kill 2.3 million civilians (50% under the age of 18) that you're OK with that.

I suspect if Israel had done this they would have looked weak to their Arab neighbours, not wise, and that weakness would have been taken as an open field day for Islamist attackers to murder and commit atrocities against Israeli citizens without fear of recrimination.

I suspect Israel believes it only survives by being seen as strong, fierce and indefeatable.

My Question here for everyone who is worried about Rishi Sunak's stand or any other opposition leader's stand, are we ready to promote anyone who say NO for the war ?? If we say No for the war, why we are allowing them to spend in defense. Im sorry but when we all want ciesefire, do we actually know what is our responsibility and can we do what it take?

They were about to normalise relations with Saudi. Hamas were determined to stop that, it's worked. With the exception of Iran and it's proxies all the Arab nations initially condemned Hamas. Israel had them all on side. Erdogan offered to be an intermediary in negotiations and now he's describing Hamas as mujahideen! The situation in Gaza is losing Israel support.

Israel have choices and are a democratically elected government, I don't think it's unreasonable to expect higher standards from them that I do terrorists. Expecting more of Hamas would be pointless.

What the IDF is doing now can't be justified. It's barbaric and most of the world is, quite rightly, horrified and against what they're doing to Gaza.

This made me so sad when I read this earlier this evening. The Palestinians are literally having their lives and voices sucked out of them. It makes it so easy for the world to put blinkers on and forget what’s happening to them.

I also heard that in the West Bank they’re now using live ammunition in response to child stone throwers.

The IDF released a video a few hours ago to provide evidence that Hamas are using Shifa Hospital as their HQ. I hope that doesn't mean what I think it does. At this point I couldn't care less if Hamas were on the roof sipping coffee with ISIS, Al Qaeda and the devil himself, there is no excuse for bombing a hospital.

The picture that Sunak tweeted of the huge Israeli flag projected on not Downing Street now makes me sick.

You could see that little man exulting in the chance to play the somber, resolute statesman on the world stage, when all the while he was just indulging his pro-Modi Islamophobia.

Have you read about the rising tensions between Hindus and Muslims in India? A good quarter of the people who reply to Sunak’s tweets are Indian.
