Be ashamed of yourselves

That’s right be ashamed of yourselves. I come in these threads thinking I’ll read someone saying what’s happening to the people of Palestine is awful but what I end up reading is people saying they brought it on themselves because they elected Hamas.

So, what if they elected Hamas. We elected the Conservative party but they don’t speak for me, they certainly don’t act on behalf of the everyday citizen of this country. Be ashamed of yourselves for not valuing the lives of Palestinians but putting so much value on the lives of Israelis.

be ashamed of yourselves for justifying the ethnic cleansing of over 2 million people because Hamas attacked Israel in early October. Be ashamed of yourselves for standing for genocide in 2023!

be ashamed of yourselves for saying we would never allow the holocaust to happen again yet Palestinians are held in an open air prison. It’s literally been called a concentration camp, with no way in or out and they are being rampaged with bombs, white phosphorus bombs being dropped on them non stop. On Sunday night 400 died because of the bombs, over 2000 children are now dead. Be ashamed of yourselves for justifying their deaths and blaming them for it.

be ashamed of yourselves for condoning the protestors for wanting Palestinians to have a right to live a peaceful existence.

be ashamed for bringing history into justifying the slaughter of so many people. Yes, Palestinians did welcome Israelis into the holy land in the 1940’s, it doesn’t mean they get to die now. Yes, Israel has a right to exist, but that doesn’t mean Palestine doesn’t. Yes, Israel has land grabbed and continues to do so but no one is allowed to say anything. Yes, their is no Hamas in the West Bank but why are the Palestinian still being killed. Why are so many people illegally arrested mainly kids - held for decades in Israel prisons. Are they not hostages? Yea, Israel asked asked the Palestinians to move to the south with 24 hours notice for their ‘safety’ yet they are being killed in the south.

be ashamed if you ask any one who stands to defend the rights of Palestinians if they condemn Hamas. Everyone condemns Hamas. Being pro Palestinian doesn’t mean your pro-Hamas. I also condemn the barbarian acts of genocide committed by Israel. I condemn the open displays of hate for Palestinian people - calling them human animals etc.

Be ashamed if you think it’s so great they are letting a trickle of aid in but no fuel to run hospitals. Electricity ran out last night in the hospital. So many babies reliant in incubators will die as a result. be ashamed if you think it’s okay for world leaders to not call for a ceasefire and instead show 100% support to what Israel
is doing.

no one has the right to hold one life more dearer than another.

you should be ashamed of yourselves for valuing some over others.

And children are drinking seawater now

UN Report

So Palestinians want their leadership to be armed. A military as well as a political wing.
Don't Israelis want an army? Isn’t there a British army? A US army?

So are we now saying Hamas are an army? Are we acknowledging that they were voted in by the Palestinians in the full knowledge that they want to annihilate Israel?

There is no equivalence between a terrorist group and legitimate militaries of Sovereign Powers. 🤦‍♂️

False Equivalence Fallacy.

The decision to withhold aid and water from entering Gaza was only ever an attack on the civilians.

Anyone who thinks that hamas doesn’t have many months worth of food, fuel and water is imo stupid or hasn’t even thought about that fact, of course theyll have them stockpiled.

So it’s (in my eyes) purely designed to kill the maximum amount of innocent people in an abysmal, cruel way.

First of all, the last elections were in 2006 when half of todays Gazans weren’t even alive.

But do you think that having an army automatically means that the population wants to annihilate another country? Is this what the Israelis wanted when they voted in their current government? Their army is certainly doing a good job of annihilation right now.

Who decides the legitimacy of a state?
Israel are behaving like terrorists right now. They are committing war crimes and have been condemned by the UN and by increasing numbers of other countries. Why is their army legitimate if Palestine’s is not? Should there be a re-think?

While a significant proportion of Gazans haven't voted in their lives, the fact remains Gazans did vote Hamas in to power there. And Hamas still commands very significant levels of support there as do Palestinian Islamic Jihad and Lion's Den.

Palestinian Authority's Fatah cancelled the 2021 election when polls indicated Hamas would win in humiliating fashion once again. Demonstrates the level of support Hamas commands in Gaza and West Bank. Fatah has been struggling to maintain control of West Bank as a result. Two-thirds of Palestinians opposed Abbas' cancellation of the 2021 election.

Hamas is NOT an armed force in the sense of those of legitimate Sovereign Powers. They are a terrorist group which is also a proxy for another hostile State - Iran. Hamas' views are well known and its not unreasonable to state those who voted them in as well continuing to support them share those views.

It is false equivalence to yet again attempt to compare Hamas to militaries of Sovereign Powers.

Hamas were voted in after they'd already committed multiple terror attacks against civilians and announced their intention was to kill Jews and get rid of Israel. People knew exactly who they voted for.

I take it you're all for Israel not existing then, based on your recent posts?

States do.

You really should temper your language since its not possible to know during conflict in the absence of an investigation that a war crime has been committed. Its clear with terrorist groups, but not necessarily clear with Sovereign States.

The UN hasn't declared war crimes have been committed and that's also not within their remit. They use phrases such as "could be a war crime" rather than "is a war crime" for good reason.

Sovereign States, other than rogue ones such as Iran and Russia, do not consider Hamas to be a legitimate armed force. Especially given their history. Hamas is widely designated a terrorist group.

Which is quite convenient for Israel isn't it

In the most horrific way, I think they have proved this recently.

This is from the World Health Organization
The situation seems to be escalating drastically
Women are giving birth without any pain relief
Even C sections without adequate anaesthesia

It's a absolute nightmare
No people should have to go through this
They are humans

Be ashamed of yourselves

There’s a well known phrase that comes to mind

“And you dare to call them terrorists, as you look down your gun.”

Thank you for this thread. Unfortunately a lot of the pro Israelis like to silence us. If you comment on a post they've created they'll tell you to get lost and create another thread if people want to discuss anything else that doesn't fit into their narrative.

Quite agree.
Its exhausting.
Especially when the whole subject is diverted

This poor boy
The only survivor from his family but also with severe injuries after being hit by an Israeli strike whilst heading to the south
You know the place where Israel demanded the people to go to
But it was no use for them as his family were killed anyway

Be ashamed of yourselves

Are you kidding?!?! All I see is pro-P spamming threads with "murdered babies" etc, completely derailing any attempt at the sincere communication that's needed now more than ever.

Spamming?
You just don’t like hearing about murdered babies. You prefer using semantics and history lessons to try to convince everyone that it’s all just a little legal matter. But no matter what you try to call it it’s still murdered babies.

Xenia · 02/11/2023 21:21

Ahhhhh fuck
This is just the kind of brainless attack I'm talking about
It's like a social media version of 7 October. Obviously not as horrific, but equally vile.

Lonelycrab · 02/11/2023 21:26

All I see is pro-P spamming threads

It’s simply public opinion, across the country and around the world.

Israel is in the wrong with its course of action, it cannot bomb it’s way to
peace. Most of the world agree on that. Whether you choose to accept that or not is up to you.
