The 'rules'

Maintain a relaxed attitude at all times - drink if you want too, especially on your birthday. Thread precedent dictates if you drink to excess you will get a BFP (but not recommended)

Covet thy husband and enjoy every minute. Shag at ever opportunity - shag-capes and awesome superpowers optional.

Resist the lure of ovulation predictor kits, Taking Control of Your Fertility and the dreaded First Repsonse. Knowing where you are in your cycle is entirely permissible though!

Going to the doctor is permitted if you've had a stupidly long cycle but beware of the dildo-cam-scan.

Keep acronmyage to a minimum! EWCM is now to be referred to as 'pant snot'.

Keep us up to date with gossip!

NMCB's, I had my mirena removed and waited 'til after my birthday so I could get shit faced in a guilt free manner. Off to see my doc tommorow, is there any questions I should ask? I have no clue what to expect. It's my visit with my GP so I won't be getting a scan or anything but I will take GWTMH's advice and request a dating scan from my Maternity Hospital. JKS I did a digital clear blue test and it said 1-2 weeks, but I don't see how that can be. I've heard that they can be dodgy though.

DP's in New York for work so I have to go to the doc's by myself. I'm a nervous wreck. He's gutted that he won't be there.

williamsmummy1986 · 21/07/2010 08:13

Frak as much as the original suggestion from takethat is hilarious I guess I better stick with yours ;-) I've set my husband on them now and he's angry in a "how dare you make my wife cry, I'll make you cry" way but unlike me he gets even legally ;-) hopefully should have my wages by Friday. If not..I'll have to decide from there. Threat of small claims court perhaps?

Well no period yet, but that's not saying much, it certainly feels like it's going to start any minute and could come anytime in the next 2 days. Mind you, I say this but I had the exact same thing when I was pregnant with DS, I waited a whole extra week thinking "it's just about to start" before I finally cottoned on that it wasn't going to shrugs just got to play the waiting game I guess!

takethatlady · 21/07/2010 08:38

Lol at your DH williamsmummy

Sounds hopeful though. Maybe you'll get paid and pregnant on the same day!

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 21/07/2010 13:06

Oh well to late to wait til after my birthday now. Will know end of next week if I'm allowed to get rat faced for the ol'b'day or not

Stopped in Next to check out the sale this morning and had to restrain myself from buying baby clothes (NMCB: 'But this little cardi would look good on a girl or a boy!''That's great but what if you have a summer baby?! Slap round the face with a kipper')

vallinnapod · 21/07/2010 13:13

LOL NMCB - I am currently peeing myself off at work by thinking 'Arse, had I got PG last month I wouldn't have to do such-and-such-a-task next year! Damn body...'

BrassicaBabe · 21/07/2010 13:57

Ah NMCB, you try to convince us you're not mad by not knowing what OPK stands for, then you shop for baby clothes You can't hide it from us!

Well we JS last night, but then poor DH feeling the pressure couldn't "bring it home". I had a good time though hey-ho! To his credit, we'd managed it the last 2 nights. It's a bit of a lottery this TTC lark isn't it!

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 21/07/2010 14:11

I'm innocent I tell you [innocent smiley]. I was looking at clothes for DS. It's not my fault the baby clothes are right there next to the toddler clothes. My eyes just, slipped!

Vallinnapod just think, by the time you do get a BFP there'll be other crap at work you will be able to suddenly skip out on.

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 21/07/2010 14:16

Oh and BTW Brassica I'm not worried about knowing what OPK stands for. I'm ovulating right now and the closest I've been to a thermometer is the BBC weather page. hehe. It's the left side this month.

Sorry TMI? I'm a bit excited about all this meaning something important now.

BrassicaBabe · 21/07/2010 14:18

Right now?! Dear god woman, stop posting, and get shagging

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 21/07/2010 14:28

DH didn't take me seriously when I suggested it about an hour ago, and now DS is coming round from his nap. Am looking forward to bed time tonight though!

BrassicaBabe · 22/07/2010 00:35

You guys are quiet tonight. I've washed my folic acid down with a glass of wine.

Watched "16 and Pregnant" nearly cried. Daft bat!

williamsmummy1986 · 22/07/2010 07:10

I'm cried at 16 and pregnant BrassicaBabe this week, I also cried at the Biggest Loser - do I cry too much? Or possibly watch too much shockingly awful reality TV?

DS has hit the terrible twos early. Yesterday when told No he got right up in my face, nose touching nose, and screamed! What are you meant to do with that huh? This morning he did it because I wouldn't let him eat gone off houmus. Oh. The. Horror.

Still no period. Still no peeing on a stick. is anyone impressed?

BrassicaBabe · 22/07/2010 08:57

You are late now aren't you williamsmummy?

Go on TEST!

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 22/07/2010 10:39

williamsmummy does it help to know that my DS hit the terrible 2s early too? And he's not the only kid I know who started up early. actually know he's nearly 2 and a half he seems to have settled down a bit. Odd how the can be right royal sh!ts all day, but as soon as they're asleep in bed looking all peaceful and innocent your (well mine anyway) brain just goes, Ohh! I want another one!

Sorry Brassica was to 'busy' last night to play online ;)

williamsmummy1986 · 22/07/2010 11:15

Well sort of late brassicababe before my son I was a regular 28 day gal but afterwards it started getting shorter. Last 3 months have been 25 day cycles, so I'm trying to hang in there and give it to 28 days at the earliest.

NMCB I know - when they sleep they are so sweet. Don't you think they look almost like a different baby in their sleep? I guess because their faces aren't animated! He just took a 3 hour nap (good lord!!) so I've been watching the last season of ER...ummm...I mean cleaning the house - yes cleaning the house.

Debs

P.S I cried at E.R too - I need to stop crying at TV shows

vallinnapod · 22/07/2010 12:43

Howdy ladies...not much going on here. In any way shape or form.

Hubby was sick - no JS. Hubby was drunk - no JS. We were both drunk - no JS. I fell and hurt my knee - no JS (although I did say I was happy just to lie there if he was REALLY careful oh, the romance). Hubby working stoopid hours - no JS. My reponse to this...POAS. Seriously.

CD115 I thought I had a bit of cramping. Who knows, if it was ovulation probably missed the window. I am now almost certain I will suddenly start my period just as we get to the clomid appointment.

To top it all my weight is creeping up and I am convinced my hair is coming out more - all after readin up on PCOS...

Sorry for the whinge...just one of those days/weeks. I am literally willing my life away until the 3rd.

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 22/07/2010 13:48

WM Since having DS I find myself crying at anyting with a baby (yes even ads) and manage to have a few sniffles at other things too. You're not alone!

VPod Thought my day was bad, but your week wins. Sending hurry up and ovulate thoughts in your Fanjo's direction (now there's a sentence I never thought I'd type!).

Right I've stocked the (virtual) fridge full of wine and other drinks, stocked up the cupboards and placed fresh flowers in the vases. Dig in folks.

vallinnapod · 22/07/2010 13:54

[Grin]

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 22/07/2010 14:18

Taking a wet 'long' lunch then Vallinna?

JustKeepSwimming · 22/07/2010 14:47

Oh dear Vallinna

Gearing up for serious JSing this weekend, cape & all

williamsmummy1986 · 23/07/2010 07:46

Well no need to pee on a stick for me, looks like my body has just returned to a 28 day cycle :-) which I'm actually very pleased about, I hated 24 or 25 day cycles. Never thought I'd be pleased to see my period but there you are - there's a first time for everything

vanilla wine - it's a terrible thing

BrassicaBabe · 23/07/2010 09:23

Well, at least you saved ££s on pee sticks. Glad you are back in a nice 28 day rythmn.

DH away for the weekend. So no JSing for me.

Trying to decide if I fancy going out and being social or ordering in a takeaway and enjoying having the house to myself for a bit.

JustKeepSwimming · 23/07/2010 09:53

Brassica - i vote for takeaway and choice of film

Williamsmummy - aww shame, but better luck next time

JSing going well here

CD17 (usually ov around 18...)

williamsmummy1986 · 23/07/2010 12:30

Thanks swimming but no such luck me thinks - husband is off on a seven day confrence soon. Blegh. Good luck with your JS though!! So no JS and even worse for me - I HATE being alone at night. 7 nights of being all alone in the house, not fun. On the plus though one of my bestfriends has been making noises about coming up to stay that week and she is wonderful with DS!

Brassica stay in and enjoy the empty house. The first night my DH is away the baby is going to stay with his grandparents so I'm satying home with some bad films and good food and enjoying the peace!!

vallinnapod · 23/07/2010 14:28

Afternoon my fellow shaggers!

Brassica - my hubby was away a lot last year and I got so ashamed of my love of the slothness I would lie and tell him I'd been out Nothing beats bad movies/TV shows and take out!

Will today never end. Need something more that virtual wine! In fact I have sort of gotten to the stage where if I found out I was PG now I would be a tad concerned about the drinking. Don't know WHY I am worrying, with no sex and no ovulation I would be revered as some sort of deity!
