my gosh lib that is extreme willpower you have there with all those tests staring back at you all day! am in awe.

Tamashii if you want to become totally in the know re the whole temps thing www.fertilityfriend.com has brilliant tutorials online. watch out though, is might addictive to start plonking your temp in every day

bubble i'm going to go against the grain and say not to test before hols. i think a few glasses of wine at that early on can't do any harm??? and if af hasn't shown up by the time you're back you'll be even more likely to get a positive if you are pregnant.

Remind me of this notion of calm, nonchalant late testing in 2 weeks time

I hope you didn't miss the window loopy and it's just a symptomless pregnancy. keeping everything crossed for the about-to-testers!

now, where's delilah? I need some tips for how to drum up motivation for day 4 of swi...flagging already. not good!

rosieroseanna · 28/07/2010 12:09

Caremellokoolalover - I think testing just stresses everyone out, most pregnant people I know tested after they missed their period although I know how hard it is not to!!!

Had given up on the opk's and was on my last one and hadn't left if 4 hours since I last went to the loo but did one anyway and got a smiley face at last hurrah! My poor hubby think he's a bit tired of this!!

Just wanted to check, we last SWI on Sunday and had given up as thought I had missed ovulation but he won't be home till tonight so will we miss it today if I just got a smiley face? Could the LH surge have happened in the night? And the egg have dropped already and I've missed it?

did I hear my name...?

caramel I don't even want to think about any sort of S today... am having AF pains, 15dpo, minor spotting, just want AF to arrive properly so I can head over to the May bus.

Hugs to all

zinnia · 28/07/2010 12:41

Popping back to ask a quick cycle length question:

CD1 = 1st day of AF, last CD = day before next AF, yes?

eg. today is my CD28

Therefore if AF shows up today, that would make this cycle 27 days, and today would become CD1 of the next round, right?

SO, how come MN ov calculator calls it a 28 day cycle? ie if I input my stats and select 27 day CL, yesterday comes up as my AF date, not today.

Or am I missing something really obvious?

Lib76 · 28/07/2010 12:47

caramel usually i am a POAS addict but this month i decided to hold off as i just got so fed up with bfn's testing early! sure i will end up with BFN but i keeping my fingers crossed. Also don't really want to POAS at work incase i get bfp! I would be a wreck!

caramellokoalalover · 28/07/2010 13:08

oh delilah you sound a bit down. what can i pass you? any particular chocolate/treat take your fancy?

and you have lost me there zinnia, sorry. all too confusing! I would have assumed same as you re cycle day numbering.

lib i will be taking a leaf out of your book and trying not to poas too early either. have so far resisted buying sticks in bulk. have just 1 FR and 1 digital and i WILL be waiting until 14dpo to test, even if that is 5 days late for me. Late ovulator here!

oh no, that has started me humming 'late ovulator, late ovulator, coast to coast, LA to chicago, western male'...am losing plot here! should self-impose a ban on MN for rest of day lest i start scaring people!

PlumBumMum · 28/07/2010 13:17

Zinnia I think 1st day of AF CD is also last day of previous cycle so you would have 28 day cycle

Sorry was lurking trying to get head round all these CD's & UCL's before the June bus, although hope fully none of you will be on it and I will have to ask someone else

PlumBumMum · 28/07/2010 13:18

sorry should say CD1

zinnia · 28/07/2010 15:36

Ahhh - thanks Plum, that does make sort of sense (more sense than the alternative at any rate!)

Time to get charting, methinks..

Sorry Deliliah
Hope this cheers you up: You know Loopymumsy said about having a good midweek sesh.... WELL !! I giggled when i read that.. because today i did something naughty... When my DH was back in lunch break (and kids were having nap) we SWI'd!!!!! HA HA HA! Do i get top marks for effort this month? I was expecting SIL & kids round any minute so i couldn't enjoy.. but got the job done!
I told him he can make up for enjoyment factor later!
bubble I had this dilemma last month.. then AF rocked up the day before i went, so tha was nice, because i could drink every night! Now i have the dilemma that i put on 6lbs in a week on holiday.. and i don't want to diet when ttc/pregga's.. (this is just an excuse for letting myself eat far too much lemon drizzle cake in the last 2 days!)
Zinnia I thought the last day of the cycle, was the day before AF comes.. but plum sounds right too.
I really don't know when i'm OV-ing.. just hoping if we do it every other day then that will be fine, but all this talk of surges etc.. makes it sound like i could even miss it by doing every other day? is this correct? I think last month i OV late. So never SWI at the right time! Not taking any chances this time, poor DH!!

So am I right in thinking that if you have lots of CM after Ov you might have just gone and done it??

Lib76 · 29/07/2010 08:47

mylittlebubble so i beleive. i remember before i knew i was pg with DS i had much more CM.

So i tested again this am and BFN i am only on cd 31 so im hoping it was too early.

does anyone know the average time from implantation until you would get a bfp??

pixie this waiting just sucks doesn't it??

Loopy I am in the same position as you... all hopeful post OV symptoms have vanished, I have had multiple BFN's (inc one this morning) and still no sign of AF. Just wish she would get a move on.

Currently feelings crampy, and have had v minor spotting 2 days ago... bloody AF messing with my head.

Lib keping my fingers crossed for you. Hoping it's a late BFP, they do happen after all... (Am hoping I am getting one soon, but feel that's less likely)

sillybilly good luck with all the SWI... by the end of our go this month DH wass glad of the time off

Hi to everyone else... Right, I have to go to the supermarket and resist buying chocolate/comfort food. Hmmm... could be difficult.

Lib76 · 29/07/2010 12:44

Thanks loopy and delilah, keeping my fingers crossed for you pair as well!

the mood i was in this morning makes me think AF is on her way Totally snapped at dh and ds so much so i ended up crying!!

still that little bit of hope in my mind! i didn't get a BFP till cd 33 with ds so will keep POAS meantime!!

Hi loopy, I'm lurking just slightly shamefacedly as I did rather ostentatiously get off the bus yesterday.

Still no show on the AF front, which I am now putting down to stress as surely the FR I used yesterday morning is going to be accurate at 14 dpo??

Just annoyed with it all now and want to get on with next cycle. Keeping myself amused by trying to work out how long mine actually is though.

And another thing, just been informed by the friend I'm seeing on Sunday that she's 5 mths pg (haven't seen her for a while). Grump. V pleased for her of course...

caramellokoalalover · 29/07/2010 19:53

hi ladies...has been a quiet day on here hasn't it. still keeping everything crossed for you loopy, delilah, zinnia and lib. i feel for you all, the limbo sucks.

hoping i ovulate soon so i can collapse in a heap for the 2ww.
