morning all, sorry i have been hiding this week seriously decluttering.

yesterday and the day before i thought af was on her way and was convinced i was out, backache, irritable etc. this morning i got a very faint positive, im not getting my hopes up yet as it was very faint but dh saw it too.

im worried it may have been an evap line or that something will go wrong (though i think thats just a defence mechanism) so not quite prepared to say that i am yet but another few days testing and i might!

sorry will go and read back over what i have missed this evening, we made a deal for no computers during the day and i have to get children ready for school!

Bicnod · 23/07/2010 07:39

matumble that sounds very very hopeful - will keep fingers and toes crossed for you. If your DH saw it then I reckon it's definitely a line - DH's don't tend to be able to see lines unless they are really really real

Post after your next test?

hattyyellow · 23/07/2010 07:54

Digitalgirl!!!! How are you?! So lovely to see you here - are you ttcing no 2? How is DS1? x

Sorry apparently i cant keep away, i know loopy im just worried that its not, this just seems more of a rollercoaster than usual this month,

rosieposey · 23/07/2010 08:15

Hesitant congrats to you matumble that sounds like a positive though - whenever i have been pg i always got all the symptoms that AF was on its way (including cramps) but it just never came - fingers crossed for you

UniMummy · 23/07/2010 08:48

A whispering congratulation to you matumble! Fingers crossed for you.

LadyGoneGaga - I thought between 1 and 4 was normal? I'm just waiting for an appointment to discuss raising it, should get one for monday. GP knows we are TTC and said as soon as I am on thyroxine it should be really easy. Hmmm, if it is true I shall thank him. If he's just guessing I will strangle him with his stethoscope for getting my hopes up I do already have DS but I didn't have this then.

There will be 4 years between my DC if we are successful soon. Anyone have experience of this gap? Am bit worried they won't play etc.

Still no AF here... bit of cramping but now I am armed with rosieposey's experience of having this while pregnant I am still hopeful! Holding out to test again tomorrow.

Mylittlebubble · 23/07/2010 08:50

Matumble sounds good to me
With my DD1 I did a test and nothing appeared threw the test on the bed in disappointment. Then 3 hours later I came back to put it in the bin and there it was the faintest line! But there was a line and here she is . However this has now made me crazy about testing and not throwing them away and checking every hour to see if I missed it!!!

stuffedmk · 23/07/2010 09:38

Aaaargh Mylittlebubble don't say things like that you'll give me hope that this really faint, can hardly see it, evap line, about an hour after testing could possibly turn into something Hmmmm, thinking pee seemed very weak for FMU this morning so maybe...just maybe....

A bit late but congrats Kirsty

Fingers crossed that line gets abit darker for you matumble

I am really crampy and already testing every day....It is definitely valid as I have no idea when I ov'd
Cramps probably just AF on her way, I usually get about a week of crampiness before she arrives so nothing unusual really.

zinnia · 23/07/2010 09:46

matumble that sounds quite hopeful - all fingers & toes crossed for you though. Let us know! would be brilliant to have a 2nd graduate already.

Can I just say how much I hate, hate, hate the 2ww? Last month was completely convinced I was pg, loads of symptoms, then AF showed up the day before was planning to test. Bastard.

This month don't feel pg at all even though think statistically there's more chance that I might be. Couldn't wait to poas last month, this time am dreading Mon/Tues because am convinced AF will put in an appearance again.

Know I'm stating the obvious here, but this SUCKS.

stuffedmk · 23/07/2010 10:09

zinnia I think we are all with you on that one!

8rubberduckies · 23/07/2010 10:16

matumble I am waiting with baited breath to find out what happens when you next test, but sounds like it could be good news

zinnia it's really effing hard work ttc, I don't feel like anyone in RL really gets it, apart from one other friend who is in the same boat, and would probably go a bit doolally without having this thread to read and giggle at, knowing that some of you are even more obsessed than I am!!! . I never realised how much of my headspace it would consume.

A couple of months ago I worked myself up into such a state of symptom spotting that I was inconsolable when AF arrived, and decided then and there I had to let it go a bit, otherwise I was never going to conceive because of being too stressed!

We are lucky on the bus, we have stacks of sugar and alcohol-based treats to help eachother through the wait! [offers very un-Mumsnettish hug to any on the bus who would like it]

8rubberduckies · 23/07/2010 10:17

Crazed symptom-spotting alert - That last paragraph was so soppy I MUST be pregnant. I usually have a heart of stone, and sound a bit like the sort of person who cries at pictures of kittens this morning

Ooh, got everything crossed Matumble! (and for everyone else waiting to test) let us know how you get on!

Good morning and TGIF to everyone else. At work so can't post more now - how do you all manage to get on here and sound coherent so early in the morning?? It's all I can manage to get myself up, dressed and fed (if two caramel waffles at the station counts as breakfast..) in the mornings, and I haven't even got any DC [yet!]...

Tamashii · 23/07/2010 11:46

Newbie here again... Excited for those peeing on sticks and getting stronger lines each day hopefully.

I am on CD 19 now and no sign of OPK + Think I will be getting on the bus for destination May as AF won't be long off this month even if I get OPK + over the wkend... sigh...

Good luck to everyone still on the April bus

matumble · 23/07/2010 12:09

having read back throught, thought i would add my stats as a mum of 3

30months ttc
27months pregnant
4 years breastfeeding

wanting i have 3 children and pcos, having fallen easily once isnt really an indicator, i fell easily with dd3 and possibly dc4 but took 2 years to concieve dd1 and 6 months for dd2, they are unlikely to investigate till you have been ttc for 12 months, good luck

congratulations kirsty

thanks all for the lovely messages, im so tempted to go retest (have half a dozen or so ebay cheapies left) but its the middle of the day and if it was faint this morning i doubt it will be anything now. dh thinks it was a positive, im just worried it was an evap or something and we have our hopes up for nothing

WantingBabyNo2 · 23/07/2010 12:16

Thanks mrswill. I do suspect that I just need to relax.. easy to say! Cicumstances were totally different last time, no dc and life was pretty easy. Have just completed a masters and in the process of moving house which is a nightmare at the moment.. these could be reasons for my period to have taken a runner on me! Good luck to everyone.. it's good to know that I am not the only woman out there who is obsessed!

WantingBabyNo2 · 23/07/2010 12:18

Oh and I have POAS and am definately not pregnant.. my period has just gone on holiday - 4 months to date! ARGH

8rubberduckies · 23/07/2010 12:19

Ah matumble that's great that you've got PCOS and 3dcs already! I have PCOS too and sometimes I get the feeling that when I speak to any health professionals they think that I should count myself lucky to have 1 dc!!! Sometimes it makes me wonder whether I'm just being greedy wanting 3 dcs, but knowing you've done it and you're now powering on for No4 gives me some hope!

I'd best get a move on though if I want 3 [holds biological clock to ear to see if I can detect how much tick is left]

WantingBabyNo2 · 23/07/2010 12:21

matumble Thanks, it has given me some hope if I do have it. Is it possible to have got it since ds or could I have always had it without knowing? Sorry if I sound stupid or ignorant. I guess it's just playing the waiting game!

8rubberduckies · 23/07/2010 12:21

PS wanting my AF went on holiday for 3 months earlier this year, so I share your pain. It was like a 2ww but 13 weeks long

WantingBabyNo2 · 23/07/2010 12:23

Glad I am not the only one who feels greedy 8rubberduckies I know I should feel content if I just have my ds, but I cannot imagine life with just the 1..

LadyGoneGaga · 23/07/2010 12:28

UniMummy - 1-4 is in the normal lab range (depending on lab) but there is lots of research to say that to actually feel well and have your symptoms ease you need to get your TSH lower. the lower it is (provided not too low e.g. 0.1 and you start to go hyper) the more "normal" you are and this will probably impact your TTC. Depends how knowledgeable your GP is am afraid but tehre is loads of info on web on this if you want to go armed.

hereTBH I still feel shit even at 3 - under 1 is better if you ask me.
