We're getting serious this time BESHies. Welcome to the Palace, where the emphasis is on sophistication. Cast your eyes over the plush carpet, admire the oh-so-carefully worn leather armchairs with sidetables and little green lamps. We have the Bonds of the ages as barstaff, waiting to serve martinis and the finest champagne.

To your left you'll see the Pit, which hopefully we won't be needing much. To your right the Cave of Gloom, and straight ahead we have our special space for the 2WOOFL. You'll find beanbags and gym balls there, the walls have been specially painted to allow you to write your symptoms up and wipe them off if they disappear. It's all the rage for Blue Sky thinking these days. And there are donuts and coffee to keep you going as you try to shift that paradigm.

My SIL has been in labour since 2am. 2am!

Medee · 27/06/2010 20:07

evening ladies.

Excellent stalking there, Musician and I am really chuffed you have your scan date.

Scorp tres tres sorry to hear about droid making its beep.

I've managed, I think, not to arose suspicion in my mum about my low level of drinking this weekend. (I didn't not drink, but I drank a lot less than usual. Spritzer = sparkling elderflower cordial; sly pourings of my fizz into MrM's glass).

My temp, unfortunately, dropped a tad this morning. It's been 36.8 since ov, and today was 36.5. Mmm. Haven't had the results of the second blood test, so will call tomorrow as that has been a week. Given the other result was the next day, I'm not sure if no news is good news, or if it has just confimred doc's decision to refer me.

Muser · 27/06/2010 20:22

Fingers crossed on the results Medee. I wouldn't dwell on the temp drop too much, didn't someone else around here have something similar and still ended up diffed? Time will tell.

Medee · 27/06/2010 20:25

thanks, Muse. Any update on your SIL yet?

Muser · 27/06/2010 20:30

No news. We are on tenterhooks.

Medee · 27/06/2010 20:50

I've just updated my excel spreadsheet, and barring today's dip, the pattern does look a bit more steady than last cycle.

Muser · 27/06/2010 21:54

That sounds promising.

Where's our Lorry with her glasto report and gusset update?!

Muser · 28/06/2010 08:46

I have another nephew. Arrived in the last half hour. That's a damn long labour. I would like to order the "deep breath and baby" delivery please.

OP posts:
Ariesgirl · 28/06/2010 08:52

God Muse, wasn't' that about 30 hours? Congratulations to them anyway - bet she's glad that's over!

May I add a statistic here? Hy cousin was in labour for 60 hours

Muser · 28/06/2010 08:57

Yep. And I think she'd been in early labour before that. Last update I had was she hadn't slept in 48 hours. 60 hours is just, well, oh my.

MountTheFairy · 28/06/2010 09:44

Congrats MuseAunt but don't spread such horror stories! I will start liking the sinister little droid that is kicking me hard in the tummy. Hate the tin man. Where's that Neurofen?

Scorpette · 28/06/2010 09:46

YAY for Muse-Sis and her lovely baby! Hope they're both doing v well They'll all have a little cousin next year, how wonderful

I also want LOLCat's Glasto report. She's probably laid in a cider and poppers daze in a field somewhere, trying to work out when and why she had a full-body tattoo of a writhing python and struggling to get up because her arms are all tangled up in her sparkly pink fairy wings

My needling must be working because my droid has been a lot more normal, less painful (though still bad) and I feel cheerful today, instead of my usual post-droid blues. Is toooooooo hot though, bleeeuhhh

PollyPoo · 28/06/2010 10:19

Morning all, what's occurring?

Well done Aunty Muse. It is horrible waiting for news isn't it?

Scorpy I am well impressed with the new 'tude.

So Cass and Lorry should be back today?

RunLyraRun · 28/06/2010 16:40

Helloooo? (echo echo echo)

RunLyraRun · 28/06/2010 17:43

So looonely, so loonely

Ariesgirl · 28/06/2010 18:06

Hello Lyra . Sorry there's been no one here. How are you doing at the moment?

Ariesgirl · 28/06/2010 18:10

I am thinking of splurging on highlights and Proper Hair Cut this week when I am so lonely and MrA is on the high seas. Some of you haz seen my hair. What do you think? Should gingernuts go for highlights?

Very trivial I know, but I'm not girlie very often. It is allowed you know! What do you think Lyra Silvertongue?

Muser · 28/06/2010 19:01

I have no idea about highlights, I've never had them. It could be cool though.

Now, any news from gin on those bloods? I am hoping for good news.

OP posts:
RunLyraRun · 28/06/2010 19:27

Hi Aries, I think highlights can look very pretty on gingers, go for it I say.

Thanks for drinkie Muse - droid has arrived today so am just about to have a real life G&T. Am bit but there was very little SWI this month, understandably in the circs, so not exactly a surprise. The good news is that the metal fucker should have departed in time for me to have the booked Hycosy test next week (invasive gynae test = good news = am freak).

Will pop back later in case news of Gin's bloods. Talking of gin, I keep reading about Sipsmith - anyone tried it?

Medee · 28/06/2010 20:13

no, but if it is a posh gin, do tell me more.

Congratulations AuntMusephine

I have a little bit of an update. Temp is the same today as yesterday, ie 36.5 rather than the prevous 36.8. But, results from doc say that it looks like I am ovulating (hurrah!); referral for scan was done last week, and I found out today that my work's PMI covers me for investigation into infertility (not treatment, but it's more than I expected). Plus, MrM has finally booked his wank-in-a-cup slot.

Ariesgirl · 28/06/2010 20:14

Good luck with the invasive gynae tests Lyra. I'm positive you're not a freak. I'm not surprised you didn't have much action this month.

Not tried Sipsmith. When I drink gin I get argumentative then maudlin - you wouldn't like me!

saltyair · 28/06/2010 20:21

oooohhhhh - highlights, highlights highlights!! Go for it - you will look sun kissed and beautiful in manner of auburn haired goddess!

Casserole · 28/06/2010 20:56

Back.

Camel , Muser - such brilliant brilliant news the pair of ye, well flippin done! Honestly, you turn your back for 5 minutes....

Had lovely lovely time. Am somewhere between tanned and slightly salmon tinged. Feeling v zen about whole thing at mo, which will likely last till at least midnight before the menkul finds me

Gin fizzes to all!

Muser · 28/06/2010 21:19

Stewpot!!!! Lovely to see you back. Where's our presents eh? Did you have a lovely time?
