We're getting serious this time BESHies. Welcome to the Palace, where the emphasis is on sophistication. Cast your eyes over the plush carpet, admire the oh-so-carefully worn leather armchairs with sidetables and little green lamps. We have the Bonds of the ages as barstaff, waiting to serve martinis and the finest champagne.

To your left you'll see the Pit, which hopefully we won't be needing much. To your right the Cave of Gloom, and straight ahead we have our special space for the 2WOOFL. You'll find beanbags and gym balls there, the walls have been specially painted to allow you to write your symptoms up and wipe them off if they disappear. It's all the rage for Blue Sky thinking these days. And there are donuts and coffee to keep you going as you try to shift that paradigm.

Scorpalicious - like Ginny I was AWOL yesterday evening but sorry you had such a shitty day. Sometimes life just sucks .

Don't let yourself go too menkul, Ginsters. Sit in the garden with a book or something, being waited on by naked young bucks in aprons, bearing flutes of (non-alcoholic) champagne and healthy superfoods like strawberries. Scorps can join you. Is that an option for today?

MountTheFairy · 26/06/2010 11:27

Well, good news about the first set Ginster. Monday is soon approaching! Enjoy the good weather in the meantime. Apparently sun is very important for diffed laydeez so go and sun yourself. My niece's facebook updates seem to suggest it's good weather around Bristol hood.

Muser · 26/06/2010 12:30

Glad your first set look ok ginrummy. Hope Monday gives you more good ones.

I spent last night in a posh London hotel courtesy of a friend with a freebie. We mostly spent it in hysterics at the pretentiousness of it all. Shame we couldn't run up the freebies on cocktails.

Ariesgirl · 26/06/2010 17:14

Give me the name of this friend. I want to befriend her too!

VoilaAnotherGimlet · 26/06/2010 17:21

test

VoilaAnotherGimlet · 26/06/2010 17:23

(Sorry - on another pc and couldn#t recall password...)

Scorpy - baaah, what an absolute crapper of a day. Hope you had a restful evening & TYF took good care of you, lovey.

Muser · 26/06/2010 21:29

Oh god. Cat food. The smell of cat food. I need to find somewhere else to feed the cats.

Scorpette · 26/06/2010 21:31

Hope everyone's having a lovely weekend. Too farkin hot here. Hair currently looking like that of corpse of Janis Joplin.

Had a few boohoos about droid but as me and TYF keep joking, at least we've avoided having an Aquarian (boring Scorpio in-joke). He has been a-smooching and a-cuddling me even more than usual and said he was sorry for feeling too tired for lots of rudeness this month (not that I was gagging for it after me Lap) and we have devised a Sexy Plan for July. Let's hope that a) we stick to it and b) it works!

I have come to conclusion that all our textbook-perfect test and op results means that the Universe has seen the perfect opportunity for a massive irony fest and therefore I'll never have kids

Muser · 26/06/2010 21:33

You will have kids Scorps. You WILL. Believe it. I have decreed that it must happen.

OP posts:
Scorpette · 26/06/2010 22:45

I was so upset I wrote 'means' instead of 'mean' in the last line, waaaaah!

Fanks, Bemusement. Just feels like it's impossible and something so huge that I can never attain it Am managing to eat sensibly and not pig out when am miserable and menstrual, so well done me on that score. How are you feeling, super preggo groovy lady?

Ocarina · 26/06/2010 22:57

Arse to droid and well done on the sensible eating Scorps. The frustrating thing about ttc is that although there are things we can do to try and make it happen in the end it's not something we can control. But that doesn't make it impossible, and all the stats would say that the chances are very high that it will happen, especially given all your immaculate test results. And as Muse has decreed it then it must.

I know that c*mping is guaranteed to bring on the droid (it hasn't yet but give it time) but what I'd forgotten is that it also brings the midgies. Yes, I know, going camping in Scotland in June without insect repellant was more than a little stupid, but I'm now just an itchy mess. Especially the 16 bites round my left ankle. Aaargh.

Still, I'm now home to my bed leaving TH with the tent to himself - I'll go back and pick him up tomorrow. So at least he won't have to put up with me scratching all night.

Muser · 26/06/2010 23:29

The odds are still on your side Scorps. I wish it was faster than you, I know how much you want it. But I do think it will happen, because you do have such good results. And when you do there will be celebrations up and down BESHland.

I am doing ok. Keep thinking I don't have symptoms and must be kidding myself. Will the menkul never stop?

OP posts:
PerfectDromedary · 27/06/2010 07:01

I heart gin and streme. That's all, really.

Wow, Ocs. I haz always wanted to go to the Highlands and do the c*mping thing, but midges find me fatally attractive, so that might not be the greatest plan... Hope your poor ankle is ok?

scropcircles It all sucks. But Muse is right; it may take a frustratingly long time, but you will get there. The power of the BESH will make it so.

Muse Big, lecherous smooches. You're going to be fine. I Have Spoken.

ginhag · 27/06/2010 07:33

You awake already cam luvver? Do you want a cup of tea?

Ocarina · 27/06/2010 09:06

Scorps I realised last night I might've sounded patronising and telling you things you clearly already know (at least when the menkul subsides!). It was meant to be encouraging, I'm sorry if that's not how it came across, I think I was talking to me as much as to you.

These were lowland rather than highland midgies Camel, but just as evil and I appear to be very tasty. And now very itchy. I'll probably have to tie my hands together to stop me scratching or I'll end up with a load of infected oozy bites which is even less fun. I have packed the insect repellent (and even spelt it correctly this time) for my return this afternoon!

PerfectDromedary · 27/06/2010 09:35

Gin I woke up feeling hungover - as per - and went back to sleep. Now have tea. All good.

ginhag · 27/06/2010 09:39

Come out on the terrace!

Muser · 27/06/2010 10:21

Morning BESHies. I would love a cup of tea gin. Is it prohibition era tea or good old Yorkshire Tea?

OP posts:
saltyair · 27/06/2010 10:41

Morning all. Pastry, anyone? How is La Palace?

Muser · 27/06/2010 11:29

How are you salty? Everything looking ok so far?

I need to get dressed so I can go and look at elephants. And then I need to come home and do some work. MrM has just texted to say he won't be home until this evening (he has been away for the weekend) and I burst into tears. Hormones anyone?

OP posts:
saltyair · 27/06/2010 11:48

Everything seems to be present and correct. You ok?

Elephants? Do you live in Kenya or something

Muser · 27/06/2010 12:04

The rare London elephant is what I'm hunting

OP posts:
saltyair · 27/06/2010 12:44

That looks amazing!! Have fun

Muser · 27/06/2010 16:46

The elephants were great. Best bit though was getting on the train home and realising I was sat across from MrM. I got to scare him as between the iPod and book he hadn't seen me.

Also. CBD says I am now 2-3 weeks. Looks like things are increasing.

OP posts:
saltyair · 27/06/2010 16:59

Good scaring musingsofamadwoman!

wooop-woop for the CBD!!

I have to confess to doing a digi last week too. Said 3-4 weeks.
