Well definitely test Sat morning then (remember first wee of the day), if you get a BFP then you know to hold one glass all night
if a BFN then i would say just enjoy the evening hoping it's one of your last with more than one glass

nothing of note to report here, bored of waiting !

midori1999 · 30/06/2010 14:34

It would be nice to have a drink, but I don't want to risk it if there is any chance I might be pregnant as if anything happened I would never forgive myself and always wonder if that was why.

(I lost twin girls 2 months ago, one at 15 minutes old, one at 9 days )

JustKeepSwimming · 30/06/2010 17:43

Oh Midori, I saw that thread and hadn't twigged that it was you
I just lurked as had nothing useful to add tbh.
Hope you get pg asap - not being insensitive i hope just that it would be lovely for you.

CoraBear · 30/06/2010 19:04

Sorry to hear about your loss midori. I agree with justkeepswimming that testing on Saturday morning will hopefully give you a clear result. It's difficult to be restrained when you're desperate to find out though.

JustKeepSwimming · 01/07/2010 16:07

I wish i had some tests in the house! i'm so silly as a) it's too early & b) i'm almost certainly NOT pg

CD29 nothing to report....

midori1999 · 01/07/2010 16:32

Agghhhhhh!!!! I did a test yesterday afternoon, and suprise suprise, it was negative!

Today I feel quite nauseous, to the point I had to sit down at my friend's house while doing her hair, and my boobs are getting slightly tender. (they never have in pregnancy until my twin pregnancy, and don't before AF) I am definitely not imagining the sickness, it's pretty bad, so hopefully it's a good sign.

I have ordered some cheapy tests from Ebay, which will be here tomorrow. Not sure how great they are, but they'll satisfy my urge ot test until after AF is due.

I wonder the chances of being pregnant with twins again....

JustKeepSwimming · 01/07/2010 18:11

Well an afternoon test probably won't show up so early anyway, use up the cheapies in the morning!!
And re twins, well if it happened why shouldn't you get 2 again. Though how will that feel, i can't imagine.

StormTTCbabyNo1 · 01/07/2010 22:48

Oh this 2WW is oh so long and boring!!!!

midori1999 · 02/07/2010 22:35

I haved done another test this afternoon... (bought in Tesco as cheapies didn't get here) I hope I am pregnant this month or this is going to cost me a fortune...

I think I got a very faint positive. Hubby agrees to and that the line is pink, so maybe not an evap line, but it was very faint.

Going to try again tomorrow morning when HCG should be higher and then will have to wait until Monday as super-busy all weekend. Everything crossed for me please?!

StormTTCbabyNo1 · 02/07/2010 23:37

Sounds promising midori I've got my fingers crossed for you hun.

Let us know how you get on xx

CoraBear · 02/07/2010 23:54

Everything crossed for you midori.

twowoulddo · 03/07/2010 08:49

Hi all,

Having read through the whole thread I'm tip toeing in feeling a little less ashamed of my obsessiveness than I was!

Midori, I really hope this is a BFP for you, I am just so sorry for your loss. I hope you are getting great support.

Storm - I am waiting til 14th July to POAS although I should probably wait until 17th....!

We just agreed on Tuesday to TTC #2 (DD1 is 13 months) and DTD that night. I am pretty certain I ov'd the next day as had a pretty major couple of hours of AF type cramping which then vanished. According to all the calculators etc I should have ov'd around then too. So, this was right yes?! DTD then ov 24 hours later? DH now away on stag weekend so no mroe action since but I so hope we are as lucky as we were with #1...

I am active member on other boards but wanted to stay anon for the TTC part so here I am!

JustKeepSwimming · 03/07/2010 23:29

Any news Midori? hope it's positive for you

Pretty sure Af is here, a tentative start so not saying for sure until tomorrow.
Need to plan better next cycle definitely!

midori1999 · 04/07/2010 20:29

No, did as Asda test this afternoon and BFN. I have a clearblue digital to test in the morning, a shave drank loads today, so expect that would affect thinsg anyway and the clearblue says if testing before AF is due to use first morning urine.

I think I'm a crazy person, as I didn't get a BFP until the day my period was due last time, and that was twins, so theoretically my HCG should have been higher than a singleton pregnancy.

JustKeepSwimming · 04/07/2010 20:37

Hope it\s a good result tomorrow then, you might just implant later? or your hormones change later?

AF has disappeared so tad lucky i don't have any tests in the house or i would be going test-crazy!

sillybillymummy · 04/07/2010 21:19

Midori I am keeping my fingers crossed for you - if anyone deserves it, you do x

I am also on 2WW. I'm on CD19, so don't know when its worth testing.. i feel like there's some rumbling going on down there, but this might be in my head!

sillybillymummy · 04/07/2010 21:26

oh i forgot to actually write the reason i was adding to this thread - i would no trust those Asda's tests .. when i was pg with DC2, i did a cheapy asda test on the 17th May... and it said -ve, i was going to a wedding that day, and had a few to drink. Then 2 weeks later i tested again.. with a first response and it was +ve. I thought i must have tested to early (didn't know where i was on cycle) BUT then went for dating scan the week after, and it said i was 9 weeks!! so that test was definitely inaccurate!

CoraBear · 04/07/2010 22:22

I think cheaper tests are a bit of disaster. I bought a double pack of Tesco value ones and both of them were void. They didn't work. I would have been annoyed but they were £2.99.
Having a bit of trouble with the week ahead. DP's pain the arse sister is staying and I'm ovulating. She's the type to give out yards if DP and myself kiss so I dread to find out what she'll do if she finds out we're having sex. Don't know what to do. I want a baby more than I want her in my house.

sillybillymummy · 05/07/2010 07:56

You just answered your question! Just go for it - ha ha ha!
Get her to babysit and go out somewhere and do it??

StormTTCbabyNo1 · 05/07/2010 08:25

Corabear I agree with Sillybillymummy - Just get to it!! Whereever you may be LOL x

Hi Sillybillymummy I too feel like there's a 'rumbling going on down there' but I'm not sure if its just in my head???

Those dull achy tummy pains dissappeared most of yesterday afternoon and last night. Then I got in the car to go to work this morning and half way there YOUCH!! a mahoosive sharp pain. Then it all went quite and the dull achy pains have now returned. WTF is going on only on 8DPO so really reluctant to test. But if I was honest I'm scared to test - I just don't want a BFN....
Any suggestions for when to test please on a postcard? AF should be due on Friday (from my calculations which are not always accurate).

Thanks

JustKeepSwimming · 05/07/2010 11:51

Definitely go for it!!

Storm - maybe test Friday if you can wait that long?

AF doing a no-show, though still time for it to arrive properly, just want to get on with it now, at least once it's here properly then I'll know it's CD1.

... CD33 and counting ...

CoraBear · 05/07/2010 21:19

The ttc Gods are smiling on us (or at least the nookie Gods). DP's sis has gone home!!!! She got in a strop because...well, I'm not entirely sure why, but she's gone after one day. Hurray. We have been left with a fridge full of food suitable only for her Atkins Diet but I don't care (DP is of the opinion that you can't reason with people on a diet so he was happy to see her off). Actually did a happy dance. Please don't think that I'm a total cow but stress really messes up my cycle and I have enough hassle trying to work out ovulation without cycle issues.
Storm and JKS I have my fingers crossed for you both. I know how nerve wrecking it can be.

sillybillymummy · 05/07/2010 21:33

OH YOU CAN SWI UNTIL YOUR HEARTS CONTENT!
YOU GO GIRL!!! Ha ha ha ha

CoraBear · 05/07/2010 22:14

Had to look up what SWI meant, such a newbie. I'm not a nutter about getting pregnant but I like to think that I have my conception days free to, y'know, conceive. I'm watching 16 and pregnant at the moment, they all get pregnant at the drop of a hat. Hmmm, maybe I should buy a hat.

Energumene · 05/07/2010 23:11

Hello everyone. Just dipping a toe in, really. We're not ttc at the mo, for various good reasons, but we were a tad careless last week and I now have pretty clear symptoms.

I'm absolutely terrified, because I've got 6 miscarriages to my name, including one earlier this year, and have a heart condition under investigation, so all in all not the best position to be in.

Current symptoms include cramping, weeing and some nausea. Not sure how many dpo I am, but I've ordered some 10miu tests off the internet, since that worked quite well when ttc DS.

So here's baby dust and sticky stuff to all that need it. And cyber vodka to those who are all finding it a bit much ;)
