Hi girls, this is the new, combined thread. I figured that only those lucky enough to manage it this month would make it into spring, so I'm aiming for a big summer belly. Good luck to all of us!

LilacLotus · 22/08/2005 10:51

when are you due, mandm?

jersey · 22/08/2005 10:55

FANTASTIC NEWS MandM !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Congrats to you and DH.

MandM · 22/08/2005 11:08

Thanks everyone! I'm really excited but still don't believe it IYKWIM. The line on the test was still quite faint, much darler than the last one though, and definitely appeared within the first 3 minutes. After about 15 minutes it was really dark! I still feel like I should be doing more of them though - just to make sure!

Homemama - don't be daft, of course that's not too nosey (I'd ask you the same! ). He was still in bed when I took the test in to show him and he hid under the duvet saying "Oh my God - what have I done now?" then came out again with a huge grin on his face!!! He's been quite quiet over the weekend (well, quiet by his standards anyway), and keeps saying he's just having "thinking time" to let it all sink in! Then every now and again he keeps grinning and hugging me!

LL - I'm due on dd's birthday - 12th April! I'm actually due on 26th April, but due to everything that happened with dd's birth, I've been promised a planned c-section at 38 weeks to minimise the chances of me going into natural labour and getting into a pickle again!

We've only told our parents so far (and I'm going to tell my sister and BIL this week). Due to dd's genetic condition, we are going to have ante-natal screening and a FISH test before we tell anyone else. Mainly because I don't want to invite "advice" and "opinions" from RL friends and family - however well intentioned.

YIPEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!
HUGE Congrats MandM

Have been sitting in front of my PC all morning waiting for your result and then go for a meeting and miss all the action!!

So happy for you Wishing you a happy, healthy pregnancy.
(and hope we all will be joining you soon)

MandM · 22/08/2005 11:43

Morning Dana - thank you!

I was wondering if you'd seen my post

Really hoping that you'll be joining me soon, I'll be watching this thread every day for your news - fingers crossed x

Noddy was fab BTW! A really good day out for little ones (and mummies and daddies ) if anyone gets the chance to go to one of the tours near to them. Nearly died though when Dh announced at the top of his voice "Noddy looks older in real life than he does on TV" - he was looking at Big Ears!

Good luck to homemama and lilaclotus too!

Artoo · 22/08/2005 12:04

Yaaaaay! Congratulations MandM, that is really great news!

Huga,
Artoo.

Huge congratulations MandM - fab news. Hope your luck rubs off on the rest of us.

Dana · 22/08/2005 14:27

Micku5, you are more than welcome . Is this your first month?

MandM, Yes I hope you will still check in once in a while and let us know how you are doing!!

Hi Roobedoo, how are you doing?

lovecloud · 22/08/2005 15:12

Not been on for a few days!

Congratulations MandM!

Make sure you send some of that dust over all of us

How long had you been ttc? I am just innterested as its my first month of trying. I am on CD24, due on tomorrow so finegrs crossed it does not show. I have to say I a feel fine, not had any pmt, i normally get a few ugly spots but nothing so far except my tummy does feel a bit different so I think my wish may not come true this month but you never know

How is everyone else. anyone else late or due their period this week?

X

lovecloud · 22/08/2005 15:30

bump

LilacLotus · 22/08/2005 15:55

welcome micku5! and good luck!

lovecloud, AF is due sunday or monday. i'm not sure how long my cycle will be as the last two were 26 and 27 days.

Micku5 · 22/08/2005 16:07

Thanks..... Congrats Mand M hope some of that luck rubs off on the rest of us.

My AF is due next week and i have got all the signs chocolate binging, stomach cramps and pmt. Even dh has asked if i am due on.

Looks like we'll have to try harder

Lovecloud - I suffer with PCOS but fell pg on the second month of trying (this was on clomid) but this time round though we are trying naturally and we'll have to see if i need any help again.

Littlestarsweeper · 22/08/2005 16:20

Well done MandM, (ive been away for a bit) {grin]

Littlestarsweeper · 22/08/2005 16:21

you can tell ive been away, me fingers are not operating is what i meant!!!!

Littlestarsweeper · 22/08/2005 16:23

Lovecloud whats the news then? What you like leaving us in suspense.

lovecloud · 22/08/2005 16:58

I have finally lost it, I am not due on until Saturday so that is probably why i am not feeling any pmt symptoms...

So even if I gave in, I could not do an early detection test anyway.

Does anyone else get the feeling that it feels like its never going to happen. I have to keep reminding myself that i done it once so i can do it again.

Madigan · 22/08/2005 17:14

CONGRATULATIONS TO MANDM - FANTASTIC NEWS

lovecloud- I also feel its never going to happen ... have been trying for 19 months ... very fed up. Do the same thing every month - test numerous times, imagine symptoms etc etc. Am v bored with it now! I just hope and pray that one day it will be my turn for a bfp!!

hope there are more BFPs on this thread soon.

sarjon · 22/08/2005 19:20

Congratulations MandM!!!!!

Really very pleased for you

Welcome Micku5, fingers crossed for you and everyone else!

I have no news - af just finished so might take a trip to the dr's as my af is all over the place and its proving difficult to work out when ov'ing.

Hope all is well with everyone?

x

Roobedoo · 22/08/2005 19:50

Hello. Don't think clomid has done it's stuff - or rather it did in that I produced 3 follicles, but on CD23 now and no pg signs and when I was pg with DS had full on symptoms by now, so feeling rather miserable. Not expecting AF until CD35ish so a while to wait which is annoying.

So pleased for MandM though - just need some more of us in the successful gang!

puppy · 22/08/2005 21:41

Hello would you mind if I joined your thread,

DH and I have started trying for #2 this cycle, stats are

me: 29
DP: 41
DS: 3 - took 3years of trying and we had sperm analysis and laproscapy(sp?), ultrasound blood test and was diagnosed with unexplained fertility, We was due to start treatment and found I was pregnant a month before we was due to start. It was just before our wedding anyway,

1st cyle of trying:
LMP 31st July, CD 23 of 28, BD on day 11,13,and 14. Ovulated on CD14 - i had spotting which was unusual for me, since then I have had dull AF like cramps ( I usually don't have AF pains), blue veins have appeared on my chest during the last couple of days and bad taste in mouth, also have very mild cold symptons and a sorethroat, also very mild nausea, trying not to get my hopes up, it would be too good to be true after previosly trying for three years.
