Hi girls, this is the new, combined thread. I figured that only those lucky enough to manage it this month would make it into spring, so I'm aiming for a big summer belly. Good luck to all of us!

thanks girls, i tested again today with tesco test and it had a positive on that. it's sinking in a bit now!

Twirl · 29/09/2005 19:31

Hi girls
Sadly it definitely was a BFN as AF arrived today. I'm totally gutted as I definitely had a few pregnancy symptoms, and am very angry that my body played tricks on me. Fingers crossed for both you Dana and Stacey, I think you are the next two due AF (or hopefully not)!

Dana · 30/09/2005 07:25

Oh Twirl, so sorry AF turned up. Our bodies can be so cruel can't they.

No AF here yet, and cramps have pretty much gone again (they seem to come and go all the time). I get more and more hopeful for everyday AF doesn't show, but I am sure I'm just setting myself up for another disappointment. Will just have to be patient.

Homemama, it will happen for you!!!

staceym11 · 30/09/2005 07:51

waiting till the 4th to test, if af hasnt come, wasnt positive when it was due so took lastest date, just keeping fingers crossed.

feel a bit funny tho, boobs are big (tmi i know) and when we bd it feels funny, but could be me wishing for something that aint the, but fingers crossed.

good luck dana and anyone else that is testing soon!!!!

Artoo · 30/09/2005 08:53

/hug Twirl, sorry AF came I hope October will be your month.

Still crossing fingers for Dana and Stacey too.

Hugs,
Artoo.

Micku5 · 30/09/2005 08:57

Hi all.... I am meant to be testing next week but this morning woke up with stomach pains which ususally means that AF will be arriving soon. I'll just have to wait and see though but I have a test sitting in my drawer that is just calling to me.

Hope the others have good news soon.

staceym11 · 30/09/2005 20:39

oh micku5 i hope it isnt signs of af for you il cross me toes, think i got me fingers crossed for someone else!

Twirl · 30/09/2005 21:35

Thanks everyone. I'm feeling much better today, and even got slightly drunk last night (well, why not!) Just want AF to go away now so I feel that another month of ttc can begin! It was only our first month of trying so it would have been incredibly lucky. Keeping everything crossed for the rest of you this month.

Artoo · 01/10/2005 06:43

Well ladies, I went to see the doctor last night, and it was really positive. I showed him my three months worth of charts from fertilityfriend, and pointed out that my luteal phase looked a bit short. He agreed (and commented that my most recent chart was "textbook" apart from the lp). He said normally with fertility issues the advice would be to try for a year, with a woman of my age they would drop that to 6 months, but with the data I already have he saw no reason to delay getting some blood tests done. So I'm booked in later this month for a blood test to check my progesterone between O and AF

I also dropped in to see my sister-in-law, and she's sent me off with the "Taking Charge of your Fertility" book, plus various leftover Herbal rememdies that she used when she was TTC. This cycle I will take a vitamin B6 supplement, and will also use progesterone cream after ovulation, and we'll see what effect that has on my lp.

I'm feeling very positive that I'm getting the support I need in this from both family and the medical professionals

Hugs,
Artoo.

Artoo that sounds really good, pleased for you, sounds like you got a good doc there like i did when trying for ds, My dr referred us straight to the hospital for investigations with word of mouth that we had been trying for over a year.

puppy · 01/10/2005 10:04

just noticed the time you posted at,crikey thats early

Twirl · 01/10/2005 20:17

Artoo, that is great news. When you are taken seriously and given help and support it is so much easier to feel positive. The book sounds like just the thing to help too. Am pleased for you.

staceym11 · 01/10/2005 20:24

thats brill artoo, hope the doc is as good as he seems and can give you the right help!!

Danaandbump · 03/10/2005 07:04

Micku5 · 03/10/2005 07:46

Congratulations!!!!!!! Bet you are chuffed! When did you test?

Dana · 03/10/2005 08:12

Hi Micku, I tested Saturday night. I was planning to wait until this morning, but DH made me do it on Sat as he was convinced I would be. Strong, pink line came up straight away. I'm over the moon!!

Micku5 · 03/10/2005 08:21

That is wonderful news.. not sure if you've mentioned this but is this your first?

jersey · 03/10/2005 08:22

Congrats Danaandbump well done. You deserve it. When are u due?

Dana · 03/10/2005 08:26

From my calculations I am due on 6th of June.
I have a DS from June 2003, so there will be exactly 3 years between them. Good age difference, I think

Artoo · 03/10/2005 08:40

Oh Dana, congratulations! I had a feeling in my water we were due another BFP this month, and I'm so glad you got it

Wishing you lots of glue!

Hugs,
Artoo.

Dana · 03/10/2005 08:53

Thanks Artoo! I tried hard to convince myself it wasn't going to happen this month, but still wasn't surprised at all when the test came up positive.

Btw, I am so pleased to hear about your lovely doctor. Great that you are getting tests done straight away. Hope you will get some answers soon!!

puppy · 03/10/2005 09:30

Dana what brilliant news!!!!! congrats to you, brill due date - 06/06/06 , same as lilaclotus i think

staceym11 · 03/10/2005 10:02

oh congratulations dana, that is great news, i gotta wait till tomo to test, dh is adament about that, boobs are killing me today tho which is a good sign as that never happens when af is due (doesnt help that dd insisted on poking my nipple this morning as i got dressed! OW!) im so excited!!!!!!

homemama · 03/10/2005 10:10

Oh Dana!!!! What can I say - other that that's fantastic news!
I'm so pleased for you. I was thinking how sad it would be if you had to give up trying.

Guess I need to get a move on now as I seem to be the only one left of the original bunch. but still very for you.
