Hi girls, this is the new, combined thread. I figured that only those lucky enough to manage it this month would make it into spring, so I'm aiming for a big summer belly. Good luck to all of us!

Hello everyone
I have read more postings than I have written when I joined the thread about a month ago, but now I need some advice before I drive myself totally mad. Is it too early to feel pregnant a week before AF is due? Last AF was 31 August and ovulated day 14 (tested Ov sticks). Have a 28 day cycle. Am now on day 19 and boobs have felt tingly and heavy for days, have needed to wee much more often (and small amounts) (sorry if far tmi!) and generally feel tired. Already have a DD and have heard that you often feel the symptoms earlier second time round as you know what to look for....or am I just imagining it??? Please advise, I am going mad and it is only our first month of trying!

Dana · 20/09/2005 08:06

Hi Twirl. Heavy, tender boobs is often the first sign of pg and can start soon after ovulation. -so it could be the early signs you are feeling. But everyone is different, so it's hard to tell. I get tender boobs for at least a week before AF. I never noticed this before, but since starting TTC I have become much more aware of the way my body works and analyse every little twinge, pain, dizzy spell etc as a possible pg sign. What I am trying to say is that you won't know for sure before you get a positive pg test, the waiting is soooo hard though, but there's not much you can do, I think. Fingers crossed for you!!

Twirl · 20/09/2005 19:30

Thanks Dana
The waiting is terrible though! I am probably over analysing but it is so hard not to when you want it so much. How old is your DS?

jersey · 21/09/2005 08:46

Hello everyone, I'm back from hols and on a count down till November TTC!!!

Hope everyone is ok. Have we had any positives yet?

I'm due on today/tomorrow bit irregular at the moment. Very little chance of being preg as not properly trying yet, but have been very lax with pill, so you never know.

Having back trouble (from 1st preg) again at minute so got strengthening exercises from the docs as will get bad with next preg if not sorted first. Has anyone suffered with lower back pain after a prev. preg?

Sorry long message.

Artoo · 21/09/2005 09:27

Welcome back jersey, hope you had a lovely holiday

No recent BFPs, but it seems there are quite a few of us due to test later this month or early October, so fingers crossed that af holds off for us, and lots of babydust!

Hugs,
Artoo.

Dana · 21/09/2005 10:55

Twirl, I know the wait is agonising. The first half of the month goes pretty quick and I don't feel particularly desperate, but the time from ovulation to AF (or not ) seems to drag on forever.
My DS was 2 in June.

Welcome back Jersey, think all of us are due end of sep/beginning of oct - we have syncronised you see . DH and I have decided to take a break from TTC if no result this month, as we can't really cope financially. (Still hoping to be pg this month, even though it would be really tough).

Am going to Oslo for a meeting today and tomorrow. I hate being away from the DS (and DH) but at the same time it's nice to have a night where I don't need to think about bath/bedtime, DS waking in the night (he does that a lot atm.) etc. And we're going to a nice restaurant tonight, which I don't normally get a chance to do at home.

Back on Friday, I'll check in then

jersey · 21/09/2005 12:12

Hi Dana, my DS has also started waking in the night again at the moment, usually around midnight for some reason!

Dana · 23/09/2005 14:35

Hmmmm, think this thread has been abandoned. Just bumping it up to wish everybody (or noone ) a great weekend!! Hope we'll get some BFPs next week.

Norway was great, we stayed in a hotel with fantastic views, food and meeting facilities. Yesterday afternoon we all went out to try a ski simulator which was like doing slalom downhill at 130 km/h. Pretty cool!! (and very important for business obviously )

jersey · 23/09/2005 14:40

Hi Dana
I'm still here, seem to be the only one and I,m not properly trying yet. Keep hoping for a mistake IYKWIM!!!

Where are you on the TTC I forget, and this thread is very long now!!

puppy · 23/09/2005 14:45

Hiya I hope you have a good weekend too dana and everyone else.
Norway sounded great

No news from me still waiting for af to arrive, still have a couple of signs of pregnancy still in me sigh. can't wait to get back to normal.

jersey · 23/09/2005 14:50

Hi Puppy, been thinking of you, good luck once AF arrives. Mine came last week with the full works!! Oh well not long, 1 month and then I am TTC for real, not just hoping for an 'accident'

puppy · 23/09/2005 15:04

Thanks jersey, good luck to you too, won't be long till you start ttc.
Wheres everyone else in their cycles?

staceym11 · 23/09/2005 15:29

im about in the middle of my cycle, so been bding like crazy, keep trying to stop myself worrying about it, getting myself stressed isnt guna help, but this isnt something i really envisioned doing i thought id be laid back and just let it happen, but im really impatient!

LilacLotus · 23/09/2005 16:12

hi girls, i am not hopeful at all this cycle, in contrast to the last two where i was pretty much certain i got pregnant. i should be expecting AF around the 28th. the sore breasts and bad mood tell me she is definitely on her way.

Artoo · 23/09/2005 16:20

This is my first time waiting to test, and I'm finding the wait really difficult. Every time I get the slightest hint of any kind of symptom I'm on tenterhooks. Any slightly unusual taste in my mouth and I'm wondering if it's the metallic taste people talk about. I spent the whole day after I ovulated feeling very slightly nauseous, and I don't generally get that at all.

I am sure that this early on it can only be imagined, and I'm really trying to not build my hopes up. I know the statistics, and it's unlikely anyone will conceive in their first cycle trying.

But it could happen....

Aaaarg!

Hugs,
Artoo.

staceym11 · 23/09/2005 16:26

Hi artoo, know what you mean, its my first time too and even though only in middle of cycle i tested already(waste of time and money!) because im too bloody impatient!!!

homemama · 25/09/2005 13:56

Hi girls, I'm still having internet problems so can't stay on long (as it cuts me off). I'm on CD3 today so looking forward to getting back into the swing of TTC this month.
Hope you are all well. Lots of you must be testing soon? Dana, hope this month is yours as giving up, even for just a wee while, can be heartwrenching.
If there are no BFPs this month then maybe a new, lucky thread is in order.

staceym11 · 25/09/2005 14:40

hi homemama, yeah im testing 4th (if af hasnt reared her ugly head) fingers crossed, hope you have lots of fun bding this month!!! and good luck to you and everyone!

LilacLotus · 25/09/2005 16:32

i agree a new thread might be a good idea. i feel i need a new start with this.

Dana · 26/09/2005 07:56

Glad to see you are all still here!!

Jersey, at you hoping for an accident. Bet that will be me for the next 6 months.

Artoo, when are you due? Definately possible to fall pg first month of trying. Happened to me with DS. Hope that is the case for you too - and Stacey .

I am expecting AF sometime this week. Probably Weds or Thurs. Have already got AF pains and have been really moody and emotional all weekend so I am 99.9 % sure she is on her way to me as well . AF arriving is bad enough in itself, but that and then not being able to try again for a long time is really heart breaking.

Don't want to be negative, but I just feel unbelievably sad just now.

jersey · 26/09/2005 08:41

Hi Dana, sorry to hear AF could be on the way. Finger's crossed might be preg signs as they are similar xxxxx

If it is you might have to be forgetful !!!!

Artoo · 26/09/2005 08:57

Oh Dana, I hope that's not signs of AF

I'm having a bad morning this morning - I'm 8dpo, and noticed a small amount of spotting when I went to the toilet after getting up. I've put a pad in, and there's more there now, not yet heavy enough to convince me it's full AF, but heavier than I would expect an implantation bleed to be (although the timing would be lovely for implantation).

I guess I'll know either way by the end of the day

Hugs,
Artoo.

Dana · 26/09/2005 09:31

Artoo, sounds like the right time for implantation. Fingers crossed that's what it is and not AF!!

staceym11 · 26/09/2005 10:56

hope it is implantation for you artoo! fingers crossed!

Twirl · 26/09/2005 19:55

Hi all
That sounds more like implantation! Fingers crossed. Norway sounded lovely Dana, i'm so jealous!
I'm on cd 27 out of 28 and have been getting up to go the loo at least 2-3 times a night for about 5 nights now, and I never usually have to go.... I also feel exhausted. I'm trying to hold off testing until Wed when AF is due but am getting slightly excited.....
What about the rest of you?
