Awww 8's that is upmost pants timing for you.
Stay strong and save your energy for your wonderful event tomorrow.

Big squeeeeeeze and a big bar of choc for you Dorcas there is no time limit on how/why/what for feelings.
I just got to the point where I didn't mind carrying it round with me but it never goes completely.
Give yourself a break mentally and physically for a few weeks.

Hairymystery Hope you're doing well today and they release you back out to the public with a roadworthy bod soon

Thinking of all you puritans on TTW of menkulness W and for those whom are not, sorry bout the metal feckers appearance and here's to a nice weekend of pink fizz/largerbeers.

Thank you all for the nice and kind words of optimism.
MrG needs to have another blood done and the Cytogeneics sent a card here for him to take to our Docs,I kinda went control freaky when he tried to get an app before work this morn.
"Tue!"
"No, give me the phone, explain what it's for!"
"Explain that we need to have it done asap!"

Of course me taking over and asking for the same thing but with more detail couldn't /didn't make the slightest bit of difference to the poor receptionist who simply cannot magic an app for the next 20 mins out of thin air.
But it was worth a go eh?
MrG has now gone into work, an hour late for nothing, thinking I'm even more neurotic and unreasonable
Ooops.

Happy Friday everyone.
I'm counting down till 8pm when my weekend off begins!

Toodles x

Hello -

Quick wave to everyone, am sat at work - and have come across a really nice article - makes good reading, and might even help some of us along. I hope the web link works - you might have to cut and paste.

aly323 · 21/05/2010 13:30

I'm stuck posting from my phone and it's awful, but I'm not going to let that stop me.

Hairy, I hope you made it home by now and are spoiling yourself rotten. Magic, I hope you, too make it out of there fast. That was really rotten timing, I can only imagine how it must make all sorts of memories come back.

It looks like I won't be drinking at the wedding tomorrow. I got the world's faintest bfp yesterday and a slightly better one today. I feel like poo, am scared to death, and will probably start insulin Monday assuming all goes well till then. I didn't expect this to happen so fast. I haven't had my first af yet. It's so much scarier this time, although I do feel stronger emotionally.

If you all don't mind, I plan to continue on here untill things feel more certain. I also think there are a couple more bfp's due on here very soon and I don't want to miss them.

clareanna · 21/05/2010 13:40

aly eek! Quiet cheer!!!

VivClicquot · 21/05/2010 14:11

what fab news

magic - good luck for this weekend, my love x

hairy - cripes missus, you don't do things by halves!

hope you're all having lovely days and making the most of this beautiful weather. I don't intend to do much this weekend other than sit in the beer garden.

PS: To everyone else in the 2ww - this month's old wives tale experiment in the Clicquot household is Brazil Nuts. Fuck knows if they will do any good, but one things's for certain: I'm going to be pooing like a squirrel by the end of next week.

xxxx

barrenbrook · 21/05/2010 14:16

Oooo, am quietly cheering too aly. Everything crossed

hairy are you out yet??? Are you well? Please do let us know when you have a chance.

magic hope today went / is going ok, thinking of you.

Am currently sitting in garden in sun willing my hair to grow back eyeing up the grass fertiliser ....

hairytriangle · 21/05/2010 14:35

Hello all! wave!

I'm home!!! Hurray!!

diagnosis is that it looks like everything has gone, but if HCG doesn't go down as of Monday's blood test, then they'll give me ?methatrexine? to dissolve whatever is causing it. Not my preferred thing, but if it gets me back to normal needs must.

Only trouble is you have to wait three months to TTC if you have ?methatrexene? Boooo!

looking foward to reading back to see what you've all been up to!

WestYorkshireGirl · 21/05/2010 15:46

Afternoon off for me, but the sun's gone in!

Hairy glad you are back home and fingers x this is the end of the saga. You've done well to get through it.

Barren Step away from the fertilizer....

Aly Great news on your BFP - clearly a bit of a run on them! Oddly, I thought I'd be worried sick, but am actually just taking each day as it comes and keeping fairly calm. Have booked to see mw next week to see if I can get an early scan.

Viv Intrigued about the brazils... or do you mean a brazilian?

Magic Hope today goes OK.

Battery Hope you enjoyed your massage.

Clare Hope you had fun at Thomasland!

Dorcas Sorry to hear you feel down. The first RTDs are tough, but it will get better. You think in your head you will be over it in a few weeks, but there's nothing wrong in it taking weeks. Remember the state I was in last month and that was 14 weeks later... Try not to be too hard on yourself.

Well, I don't want to leave you ladies, but I think I should move to the Grads list (being all positive and all that)...
but I will lurk about and keep an eye on any more BFPs for a while yet so I'm not about to disappear!

Curlylox · 21/05/2010 16:38

Thank you for all your nice messages- the jollyjojollsterjollification squeeze was much appreciated as was Pretty's squeeze and chocolate bar. Thank you everyone else for your words of encouragement. I think that I just didn't expect it would take me so long to come to terms with losing the baby. And I feel like it's something no-one else in RL really thinks about anymore (apart from my OH), I mean, why would they? Which makes me feel a bit crazy for feeling so heartbroken still. Especially when I have good days and think that I am coping, then suddenly it feels like I have taken an enormous step back and just want to curl up in a ball and sob. Hearing you all talk about giving myself time makes me feel less crazy so thank you.
WYG well done for being so positive and moving over to the grads.
Hairy I'm glad you're home. Fx that your HCG levels will have gone down by Monday.
Aly congratulations- another May success!
Barren, the fertilizer does not sound like a good idea...
Viv, I too have been eating lots of brazils, but with my RTD due tomorrow I will be swapping to the beer fairly soon... Also, do you think it still counts if they are chocolate coated?
Magic8 that is shitty timing. Hope it went okay though- are you still there or back home?
Lindalinda, nice to hear from you again, hope you are doing okay.
Hello everyone else that I have missed x x x

dorcas111 · 21/05/2010 18:52

Ooops, posted under my other mumsnet name of trilliums, sorry to be confusing.

batteryhen · 21/05/2010 19:52

Hello

Congrats to Aly, very pleased for you

Here is me thinking I might have ovulated next weekend to give me time to get to Germany, but now I feel like I might be getting AF. I wish my body would just sort itself out GRRRRRRRRRR

Moofold · 21/05/2010 20:19

Hi everyone, back from Mull and no idea how I will catch up on the hundreds of posts missed here and over 700 on Facebook! Have checked back last few pages and see that there have been 2 BFPs!! Great news WYG and Aly, well done both and wishing you very sticky little beans.

Good to see Viv and 8s get past your milestones intact, you are both very brave girls. MrsPretty you are doing great too, totally understand your neurotic tendancies! Hairy hope things settle down for you soon.

Hello to the newbies and waves to everyone else. Hope I haven't missed any other big news as I really don't think I'll have time to read back through the posts. Really nice to see Gi1da, LucyT, Red, Alba and GLB checking in to say hello and pass on wishes to the BFPs. Equally good to see that all you ladies are thriving x

WYG you were right about Tobermory and Mull is a beautiful place. In TTC news I ovulated as soon as we got there so a wee island baby would be nice. In fact, any baby would be nice! I was certain I was pregnant in March, equally convinced I wasn't in April and now I just plain don't know. Viv, don't know about Brazil nuts but I took LucyT's advice and have been doing pineapples and molasses. I will be raging if I'm not pregnant again because they are both disgusting, I don't know which is worse!! I'm not feeling optimistic, I know its early doors but with both previous pgs I just knew really early...

Also, despite being on the TWW I drank wine and or Jack Daniels every single night on holiday, which is a bit of a disgrace. Its so hard trying to get a balance though and not put your life on hold indefinitely.

Anyway, must go and get through the mounds of washing and bloody housework related tasks. Oh, Barrenbrook, outraged at your latest hair related development, that can just fuck right off! You're due a break soon pal x

MummyMcKT · 21/05/2010 20:39

I hope you don't mind me invading your space for a bit but I'm looking for some help - I've been reading your inspirational thread and am intending to join you all properly when the current saga I'm in (am in midst of natural mgt of MMC of twins ) is over. Hopefully you'll welcome me then too! - For now am lurking for help re the thread I started earlier today with a query re fibroids on ovaries - do any of you have any knowledge about this you can give me?

Thanks

digitalgirl · 21/05/2010 21:25

Big Congrats to aly! Its looking like the start of a run of bfps. Hope you have a perfectly uneventful 8 months.

It's been nearly 6 weeks since the mc and we're still continuing with swi. This low gi diet has done nothing to regulate my hormones, am really missing muffins and ice cream [hurrumph].

Even wasted a load of money on ov-sticks to see if this potential fertile period is anything to get excited about but was negative yesterday and today. So maybe i missed catching the luteal surge (ov pains on weds) but hopefully not the egg. Or it's still to come. Oh well, back to the never-ending search for my cervix. (still open since you asked).

magic good luck with your fund-raiser tomorrow. Hope you make loads!

moofold welcome back

pv it's June a week on monday so not too long to wait.

hairy fab news that the scan gave the all clear, sorry you had such a dramatic journey to get there.

Waves to newbies. This is a great place to be.

clareanna · 21/05/2010 22:30

Hi all
thomasland good - managed to go on big scary rollercoaster that you stand up on too, as there were no queues... Used to love rollercoasters in my yoof, so felt good doing something a bit crazy for a change. I did also fleetingly wonder if all those loop the loops would help dh's troops hit the target after some early morning swi...! If it works imagine the queues at Alton towers!
despite lots of action, not sure if this is going to be a lucky month after all... Am on day 23 and was expecting a peak on cbfm today, but still only a high... Long cycles suck

moo welcome back glad you had a lovely hol- think jack Daniel excellent name if this is your lucky month!

mummymckt so sorry you're going through such a horrendous time. We'll keep a place warm for you- in the meantime take care x

magic hope tomorrow goes well x

LadyBee · 21/05/2010 23:01

hi hi all, I decided to allow myself to wallow in my gloom for a while and just let it work its way out (like a splinter!). Seems to have worked - I feel much better and am ready to start working on a few of the things I feel I need to pull up a notch or too.
Have been concentrating on work at the moment, namely by fighting with a colleague a couple of levels more senior than me - I'm winning . God knows what is going to happen on Monday, but it's been diverting at least.

Sorry I haven't really been keeping up, but I HAVE managed to spot two very lucky events - congrats to WYG and Aly!!! that's fantastic, so pleased for you

Got a busy weekend planned but hopefully will squeeze in a bit more catch up - we've just entered the SWI-zone. Ohh and am v happy with clearblue fertility monitor, I got a high on the same day I first noticed some EWCM, which I found very reassuring. Still let's see how the cycle progresses, eh?

Cheepz · 22/05/2010 00:42

jeez i am off for a couple of days and the threads disappeared from my 'i'm on' list - ffs - i live on this thread, i have been here 9 months (oh the irony

well back now - work are being arses about letting me go quickly feel like yelling 'look you fuckwits, i cant start my new job preggers, so i wont try until i get there - if you make me work my notice you are having an impact on the whole ttc thing i have going on and after 3 miscarriages and being nearly 38 its time i can ill afford ' but i don't think they will care

they are only making me stay out of sour grapes

anyway, rant over, big cheer and mexican wave (solo at desk) for WYG and ALY, bravo, top job, great news and the whole shebang

newjoiners sorry you find yourselves in the mini maelstom of ttc madness we have created here but its the best place to be for sharing far too much information

viv hoping you are coping with tough spell and magic you too

barren thats just shite for you, it all comes in one go doesn't it bad bad and bad, but it means good must be coming next, fingers crossed for you honey that that is the last bad

right its far too late to be on mn when DS gets up at 630am

seeya

Morning ladies thanks for all your messages yesterday xx Pre-op went well so all set for Wednesday. I was in a completely different part of the hospital so all was going well but they shut the blood clinic so I had to take myself off to the antenatal bloods clinic with a 2 hour queue........thanks for that.......

Well, Ruby's anniversary is today, she was born at 9.30am and I think it was a sunny day just like today. I can't believe a year has passed.....a year where I have been floating along and not really living. I feel very differently today, feeling very positive although had a huge lump in my throat when the birthday bit came on Cbeebies this morn..........have lots to do, balloons to blow up, cakes to make and the sun is shining so I feel like someone is smiling down on me today Today is like a new start really, I can't explain it.....

We are doing so well already with the party tonight, I am really looking forward to it and raising a glass to daughter number 2 later.......will let you know how we get on and fingers crossed we raise LOOOADSA MONEY!!! If any of your lovely ladies would like to make a donation to Tommy's you can do so here magic8s Tommy's page xxxx

Anyway I am sorry not to name check I will come back in a day or to when things settle down to catch up properly but big congrats to aly and fab that you are on the grad list WYG!!

Morning everyone - hope the weather is as beautiful everywhere in the country.

Cheepz - the answer is clearly to be totally useless in the office - then they'll wonder why they're still paying you and let you leave early. Would suggest much time on facebook and mumsnet, long lunches and lots of leaving early (of course I say this and last time I resigned I worked my notice and some weekends, but then that isn't really a sensible way to behave)

LadyBee glad you're feeling more positive now

I had follow up appt from the ERPC - consultant asked if i'd had a period - I said no, asked me whether I was sure I couldn't be pregnant. By the second time was tempted to say 'not unless its the second coming of christ!' Anyway, had some blood tests which I tried to remember what they were for and failed so will see if anything comes back from that. On the bright side I asked about waiting for 2 periods which was the original advice I got, given 1 has been so long in coming. She said no - but added 'you're probably not ovulating so you're unlikely to get pregnant' hmmm - hope she's wrong and once RTD finally appears will be SWI - yay!

Julia1969 · 22/05/2010 12:01

Yay summer's here! How much better does everything seem when the sun shines?
Despite the hard times the vibe on here is feeling really up these last couple of days.

Cheepz I agree with northerngoldilocks, take your foot off the gas a bit because a) why should you work your ass off if you're leaving, b) with moving house and foguring out the TTC thing you could do with something letting up I imagine, and c) whadda they gonna do, fire you?!

Magic8 glad you're feeling positive. good luck for tonight.

Hairy please try and stay away from medical facilities this weekend, I'm not sure I can take any more!

Am one week into 2WW and it's my first month of using Persona as an aid to conception (plus in slightly neurotic frame of mind I wanted to see if I got the ovulation sign).
Have now convinced myself that I'm not pregnant and that the tiredness is due to a head cold that hasn't yet materialised. Or hayfever.
Mindgames!

My friend asked me to be Godmother to his daughter. I cried ridiculously and then said 'oh please tell me it's not because you feel sorry for me and think I'm barren?'
Feel really chuffed though as it's my first Godchild and at least somebody thinks I'm growed up enough and not morally bankrupt!

hairytriangle · 22/05/2010 13:25

LOL Julia me neither!

Lovely day, am still bleeding like a bleeding machine - but at least it's coming away, slight pain, feeling weak but being pampered by OH and sitting around doing v little. Roll on the end of this!

Also found out my blood type is A+ and my iron levels are good!
