Hello ladies, after a mammoth 47 day cycle hoping for a December baby, today is once again CD1 for me.

If all goes to plan this month my EDD would be Jan 30th so I thought I'd start the February bus as a positive step forward.

Am fully expecting to be on my own for a while but do come and sit beside me for the journey if you feel the need......

Rockbird it seems like more siblings are born around the same time. My bro and me are a month apart. Same with DH and his sister. My niece and nephew are also a month apart. Though my Mom and her brothers are many months apart.

patienceplease · 27/04/2010 11:12

Can I sit at the back too? Am hoping I might jump on the January bus but think feb probably more realistic.
Have 2DCs, DS4 DD2.

Has anyone tried any of the apps on the iphone for tracking symptons etc?

rosieposey · 27/04/2010 16:41

Lou, Lia and i have already had that conversation Its just the control freak in me i think, i just like to KNOW whats going on

womanlytales · 27/04/2010 17:07

I just downloaded my first fertility chart - I know late to start on CD10 but better late than never. GinaFB - don't have an iPhone so haven't seen that app. I think regardless of an app I tend to be symptom spotting - perhaps logging it into some app might help me stop obsessing perhaps lol.
Last cycle in my 2ww I experienced 'all' the symptoms for the first week and then none for the second week..so feel quite silly. Plus am on Clomid so think there are some side effects related to that too.

CluckyKate · 27/04/2010 19:47

Ooh, filling up nicely! I've just started taking ovulation tests this evening. My plan is to take one every day until my temperature has definately increased. Last month I didn't get a clear result & the cycle turned out to be v long (I think I ov'd on CD33) but we'd given up on the SWI

We're planning on SWI everyday if we can be bothered! Really feel that this is my month so fingers crossed ladies!!

8rubberduckies · 27/04/2010 22:06

Hi all - can I jump on my first bus?

8rubberduckies ttc#2 cycle 2 UCL??? CD 9

I have PCOS and AFs all over the shop UCL anywhere between 28-64 in last 2 months, so may be in for a lot of bus rides. Just started taking Metformin so let's hope they sort themselves out a bit!

GinaFB · 28/04/2010 09:39

WomanlyTales not sure if youi can get them for the PC but its really good! charting everything from skin conditions, body aches, bloating etc to weight and temperature every day. Plus if you put in your UCL and last period it will project fertile days etc... not sure if it works for everyone as I'm pretty new to this but I'm giving it a go!

Just realised I should have done that last night, when I hopped on, sorry everyone I'm a newbie!

Can anyone tell me about fertility friend? Don't think much will help in the way of temperature taking to tell when I'm OVing because of my PCOS, but would be good to try and spot OV from other symptoms...

8rubberduckies · 28/04/2010 13:39

MercyMe Hello and I feel your pain on the symptom spotting front... My periods are so irregular I find myself testing about every 2 weeks and constantly symptom spotting (even before we started SWI) - I even do it after a negative result, thinking maybe it was wrong, and only stop when AF is visiting and the few days afterwards.

I am safe until roughly about 1 week's time as AF disappeared last week and can concentrate on just SWI for now!

Good luck everyone. If anyone is TTC with PCOS on the bus would be interesting to share experiences

GinaFB · 28/04/2010 13:51

MercyMe Thanks, I am doing ok now after feeling so battered over the last months. DP and I are just hoping now that our luck is changing and we can have some BFP news this year!

Last time we didn't really have to "try" it just happened so I'm fairly new to the terminology here!! Please bear with me if I ask silly questions!!

womanlytales · 28/04/2010 16:51

Hello again 8rubberduckies I have PCOS - though due to OD I am on the treatment phase - perhaps last 2 years if I am lucky and it would be a miracle if I can keep it in check going forward.

Currently 34, ttc#1, need to get from BMI 29 to BMI 24 - On clomid cycle 2 50 for ovulation. Haven't been prescribed metformin but am reading up a lot about it - plan to ask my specialist about it when I get an appointment.

CluckyKate · 28/04/2010 20:43

Apologies all, am about to hijack this bus a la Speed, but I promise to sit down quietly in my seat again in a little while...

womanly tales Hello again! How is the cider vinegar and low GI diet going? Your comment about me staying positive cos I've done it before (conceived) has stuck with me

I've been following low GI principles since I started Metformin a week ago and am surprised how easy it's been. I've been lucky with the Metformin side effects so far though as well (just feeling a bit sick if I leave it too long without eating or have anything sugary on an empty stomach).

Can I just ask why you have been told to get your BMI that low? I'm about BMI30 and have been told to lose a bit to increase my chances of conception, but not to get down to anything like BMI24... the thought of having to do that scares me, don't think I've been that kind of weight since I was about 16

decafgirl · 28/04/2010 21:07

Evening all... forgive my ignorance but what's metformin 8rubberduckies ? xxx
