Hello ladies, after a mammoth 47 day cycle hoping for a December baby, today is once again CD1 for me.

If all goes to plan this month my EDD would be Jan 30th so I thought I'd start the February bus as a positive step forward.

Am fully expecting to be on my own for a while but do come and sit beside me for the journey if you feel the need......

Thanks ladies, I just can't bear it. It took us bang on a year ttc#1 and I can't bear the thought of having to go through it all again. I feel guilty because I know some people have it much, much worse but I just think 'I know my body can do it so why won't it just do it!' IYSWIM

I've been taking the wellwoman vitamins which evened out my 6-10 week cycles to the 33/34 dayers I've got now but I'll certainly give the AC a go.

Thank you xx

It's so frustrating, isn't it, when you know you've done plenty of SWIing at the right time, you know your body has done it before but month after month it doesn't happen. It's a particular bugger when all around you are getting pregnant. We'll get there, we really will.

Just nipping out for some chocolate digestives and jammy dodgers - think this bus needs some sugar to get it through.

Rockbird · 06/05/2010 19:19

Well I'm only on the first round, am getting as much action as I can, not even at 2ww yet and I'm bored out of my skull thinking about it all! And DD is being a little bugger at the moment so the little voice at the back of my mind is saying 'what are you doing?? Are you insane??' Ho hum...

8rubberduckies · 06/05/2010 20:20

I am trained as a reflexologist and it has fantastic results for fertility problems. I have been thinking about getting myself some but we are sooooo skint at the moment and sadly you can't do it on yourself so well!

I am going to try out the Agnus Castus too, thanks for the tip rockbird

I am ttc number 2 as well and am v.frustrated, as we conceived ds1 when we'd only been together for 3 months, completely by accident! We haven't been using any contraception now for months and SWI for 3 months and it just does't look like happening anytime soon this time around!

Sadly I won't be partaking in the biscuits to cheer myself up due to the Metformin giving me a dodgy tummy tonight , but I am gorging on sugar in spirit and am raising a glass of water to toast for our bus's lucky ride

decafgirl · 06/05/2010 20:36

Right, reflexology next on my list...my mum trained a few years back but defo won't be asking her for help! She swears it works for all sorts of things though so worth a try eh?

How much do you reckon a session should be?

OP posts:
8rubberduckies · 06/05/2010 20:56

I used to charge £25 before I stopped doing it as a job, but I think it's probably gone up a bit now cos that was 5 years ago.

After just posting my last message I had a great idea for getting cheaper treatments if money is a problem. If you have a local FE college who offer Reflexology courses you can go along and have treatments off of students at a reduced rate... it's exam time next month so they will be nearly qualified and keen for case studies.

decafgirl · 06/05/2010 21:13

Ooh, I like!

OP posts:
womanlytales · 07/05/2010 08:37

This cycle has been obscure at best - I started charting and my temperatures were 'high' CD10-14 and then fell CD15-today... I just keep expecting a spike to say - yes, progesterone has kicked in, ovulation has occured...but no such indication just yet. Plus the cm scene seems to also continue forever...
DH and I had a chat last night for he's worried about me..and we're thinking of going off the active monitoring methods... Just thinking of it makes me feel relieved...

milanomum · 07/05/2010 09:15

womanlytales...I have never charted and don't intend to unless quite a few cycles pass with no luck but even just knowing when my fertile period is enough to make it a tad stressful, so I really feel for you! It's amazing that all that stuff is out there to use, but at the same time it must be so stressful. Maybe it isn't a bad idea to stop trying quite so actively and just see what happens.
Sometimes I really do think a little ignorance is bliss, but at the same time once you've decided to ttc it's always in your head! I remember being pregnant was stressful (because you play the hoping-waiting game for 3 months, then 'will everything be ok?' for the next 3 and then you relax a bit - until you start worrying about the birth ) but I didn't get to the stressed-out stage with ttc and I'm hoping it doesn't hapen this time round!
Why DO we do all this to ourselves?!

Orchid12 · 07/05/2010 13:36

I pay £35 a session - not sure where that sits in terms of the going rate though. Felt very calm after last nights session but sadly the effects don't seem to last when you have a tantrumy toddler to sort out in the morning!

PinkiePoo · 07/05/2010 16:00

Well ladies....after 64 CD...thats right, my AF has finally arrived and i have never been more happy to see her. FOR NOW!!

I may be a bit late joining this but hey ho....

So my stats are...

I've updated the stats for today, as one of my days seems to have dropped off again:

Thanks for adding me honey!

Medee · 07/05/2010 19:42

Hello, adding myself onto the bus. After a cycle off, am back in the saddle, so to speak. As you can see, I have a stupidly long cycle that seems to be getting longer, so just coming up to SWI time.

Can I join? I think I posted on the wrong thread before!

I have a DD who is 19 months and we are starting to TTC for number 2 this month. Really nervous. I conceived quickly last time but had a mmc before conceiving (quickly) again with DD.

CD 8 today, so gearing up to ov next week. We are going on holiday next Sat to Asia so really hoping I ov before we leave (not so sure about the number of opportunities to DTD when we are away!).

Much baby dust to you all and looking forward to getting to "know" you!!

BrassicaBabe · 09/05/2010 08:18

How's everyone doing? Am coming to the start of the quiet bit now. Have been SWI-ing every other day for the past week or so, one more to go (God this is so clinical!!) and then I get a break Then the 2ww begins... Is it really only cycle 1, beginning to feel like 101!
