TTC after a Miscarriage - Keep Trying!!!!

Diddle · 27/07/2005 15:15

Well ladies, its about time we had a new thread, the old one is getting very long. Plus I think we need another fresh start, with lots of positive babydust:

.,'-.,'-.,'-',. .,'-.,'-.,'-',..,'-.,'-.,'-',. .,'-.,'-.,'-',..,'-.,'-.,'-',. .,'-.,'-.,'-',..,'-.,'- .,'-.,'-.,'-',. .,'-.,'-.,'-',..,'-.,'-.,'-',..,'-.,'-.,' .,'-.,'-.,'-',..,'-.,'-.,' .,'-.,'-.,'-',.

Get a big handful girls, i think we all need it.
I was trying to think of something great and positive to put, but this TTC lark is getting us all down, i'm fed up of trying, but we will all succeed eventually, our times will come.

It will be much better for our little ones to have a good start when our bodies are truly ready to carry them.

Maddyd - Hows the healthy eating going. I really admire you being able to do it. I know you feel much worse when you eat naughty things, i don't know if that would stop me having the odd biscuit though.

Lottielou - you there? not working too hard i hope. when is your modem coming. I've made sure i have an msn account. so will be able to stalk you easily

Well done Cori, just got back from hols and seen your good news!!!

maddyd · 24/08/2005 16:51

Afternoon all. How you feeling chocolatepeanut. Theres still a chance you ovd though just missed it with your wee sticks. Dont give up hope just yet. As for cm you cant rely on that too much (a bit like men) as it changes after baths, sex if youve been swimming that kind of stuff. Have you chatted to Shelly at all? I hope shes doing ok, i inagine shes on a due in thread now.

Diddle i love my new diet. After you have done it a while it becomes second nature. I dont crave sweet things any more. Ive had my go ahead bars in the cupboard just in case but only had one a week so far. Im addicted to low cal cup a soups as they fill me up. Hope i can continue when and if i get pregnant so then it will be easier to get back into shape. Not that i care as i just want to be pregnant and fat. I listen to my friends moaning about the heat, wieght, feeling sick and how the baby is lieing uncomfatably and i just think they are so lucky, so stop moaning. Still happy for them though but you know what i mean dont you

maddyd · 24/08/2005 16:55

How long have you been trying this time? Have you told hubby yet?

LunarSea · 24/08/2005 17:36

Back from the consultant, and have gone from nothing happening to everything in one fell swoop! Sperm test for DH, blood tests for both of us, ovarian scan, clomid, and monitoring scans (oh and a big bill - but at least we're getting somewhere now).

Tabs · 24/08/2005 17:38

Fab news Lunarsea - am sure it will be worth every penny if it has the desired effect.

Diddle · 24/08/2005 18:13

lunarsea - thats excellent news, about time too. I bet you feel really excited, that brillaint, i'm thrilled for you.

Maddyd - yes i do know what you mean. If i hear anyone moaning about pregnancy I can't help but wish i felt like that.

Well i am knackered already and its only 6.00. these kids are wearing me out. I could honestly go to sleep right now. Must have an earlyish night, after watching lost of course and supernanny. my first kiddie comes at 6.50am tomorrow, just the thought of it makes me want to curl up in my comfy pj's and close my eyes.
anyway, thats enough waffling from me, off to get some grocery.

congrats again cori. have you told DH, have you tested again???

OP posts:
cori · 24/08/2005 18:24

Hi Everyone
Yes I have tested again. Still BFP .
I told DH first thing this morning, he had just left the house and was on his way to work. I dont think he believed me really...

Maddyd, I have only been try for 2 months this time ( last time was 7 months). I am putting my success down to Acupuncture. I had acupuncture straight after M/C, then had a break for a while as the therapist went on holiday. I went back three weeks ago specifically for TTC. I have another session tonight. Now I hope she can help me keep it and stop me turning into a complete neurotic nightmare.
I feel OK now. Symptoms... a bit tired, and tender breasts. Felt sick earlier on but think that is due to nerves more than anything.

Arabica, thanks for your message. Are you going to the big Christmas meetup in London? Would be nice to see you again if you are up for it.

Diddle · 24/08/2005 19:41

right, someone tell me more about acupuncture and reflexology. is it any good, where fo they put the needles??

OP posts:
maddyd · 24/08/2005 20:04

Know nothing of it Diddle. I dont think it hurst. You could try reflexology.

You need Cori back but shell be off celebrating, bless her. Its such an amazing feeling thise first few days. [nostalgicface]

I was offered accupunture by my chinese Doc but didnt fancy it. My latest fad is Royal jelly. Gillien Kieth swears by it. Fingers crossed.

sunnyside · 24/08/2005 20:14

Cori - So chuffed for you!

I've been to see diabetes consultant today and she was fab! She's put me on metformin which should help lessen risk of m/c I think. Gotta look it up cos she gave me so much info and reason to be positive that I've forgotten loads of it!!!

Lets see some more BFPs now that Cori's got us going!

Diddle · 24/08/2005 20:19

sunnyside - sounds like you're on the right tracks then, glad it went well.

Maddyd - not a fan of needles so might avoid the acupuncture, had to have it on my knee last year and it did hurt. Might investigate reflexology though sounds good.
Those first few days are great aren't they, so jealous, but very happy for Cori, lucky thing. I'm sure she's a bundle of nerves though
