TTC after a Miscarriage - Keep Trying!!!!

Well ladies, its about time we had a new thread, the old one is getting very long. Plus I think we need another fresh start, with lots of positive babydust:

.,'-.,'-.,'-',. .,'-.,'-.,'-',..,'-.,'-.,'-',. .,'-.,'-.,'-',..,'-.,'-.,'-',. .,'-.,'-.,'-',..,'-.,'- .,'-.,'-.,'-',. .,'-.,'-.,'-',..,'-.,'-.,'-',..,'-.,'-.,' .,'-.,'-.,'-',..,'-.,'-.,' .,'-.,'-.,'-',.

Get a big handful girls, i think we all need it.
I was trying to think of something great and positive to put, but this TTC lark is getting us all down, i'm fed up of trying, but we will all succeed eventually, our times will come.

It will be much better for our little ones to have a good start when our bodies are truly ready to carry them.

Bleeding's easing off HOORAH Still hurts though but no where near as bad.
Maddy- How are you? Any pain?
Diddle- Have you tested? Go on!!!!!
Humphreys- Looks like she might well be on her way to you or hopefully there's a beanie in your womb so there's no room for her! Have you tested?
Lunarsea- Great news re:dr's! Here's hoping to some positive news.
Cori- So sorry hun! Maybe a little too early to test? Fingers crossed for the next one!

HumphreysCorner · 23/08/2005 18:21

BAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HellKat-used about 20 tests over the last 2 weeks-Still horrible yellow discharge. Have tried looking it up on the net and frightened myself to death(well, nearly). I actually do want the bag to arrive as I don't think a beanie would have survived the cramping anyway. Gald yours is easing off.((xx))

Diddle-for goodness sake girl get on with it!((xx))

LunarSea-pleased for you-go girl and take no nonsense! ((xx))

Hello to everyone else-feeling really low and miffed off so having a small sherry-daren't open the Blossom Hill until I definitely know there is no life in there.

Diddle · 23/08/2005 18:59

sorry xena - i'm cd 32 today. sorry no more smiling. i'm not testing yet. Not feeling very pos about it, have had a few aches and pains, so i;m expecting AF anytime.

OP posts:
HellKat · 23/08/2005 19:11

Humphreys- Sounds like you might have a small infection (hence aches and d/charge) or it could be because you are pg. Who knows. Maybe you should see your dr, then he can take some swabs to make sure. I'll have your Blossom Hill if you don't want it
Diddle- Go on girl. Do it!
Off to chill with a coffee and get ready for Eastenders. Babba in bed asleep so nice and peaceful! Night all xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

petunia · 23/08/2005 19:22

Evening all,
Still lurking to see how you're all doing! Sorry to see there have been some new ones that have joined but know they'll get lots of support here.

Humphreys- hasn't your AF arrived yet? I was really hoping for +ive results for both of us for last week.

LunarSea- hope you find a sympathetic Dr at the new surgery and good luck with your consultation tomorrow.

Hellkat- you still suffering with your endo?

Diddle- fingers crossed for you. I see you're resisting testing like I was last week! (And you thought my willpower was good!)

I'm now at 5 weeks and I'm already miffed with the midwife! When I had the mc, they told me at the EPU that they could do a scan at 8 weeks. So I made a midwife appt. for next Tuesday. Anyway, the midwife rang up today and said they don't like to do scans before 10-12 weeks because they can't see anything before then. So why was I told they could do one at 8 weeks? I've got DH saying, "ring the hospital," which I might do tomorrow and find out. GGrrrrrrrrr!

Anyway, sending you all some babydust (hope it turns out OK, never done it before!)

Love to you all, Petunia

Diddle · 23/08/2005 19:48

petunia - I tried to call my epu for a scan when i was m/c, and they said i had to be referred by a doctor of midwife. Evem though they don't like doing scans before 10 weeks, doesn't mean the can't, as long as you are prepared to be told they can't see much. I'd insist that you have one, tell them that you are prepared to see hardly anything, but want to have one just in case.
You have every right to have a scan, don't let them tell you that you can't.

OP posts:
petunia · 23/08/2005 20:00

Thank you Diddle. The midwife rang at lunchtime and I've been getting more and more miffed about it all afternoon! I will definitely ring the hospital tomorrow and if it means I have to be referred by a Dr (looks like the midwife isn't going to refer me) then I'll get a Dr to do it. I know they can't see much so I'm ready for that, but I think I've read that they can see a heart beating at 8 weeks.

Diddle · 23/08/2005 20:11

petunia - the link below has some info about ultrasounds and confirms that you should be able to see a heartbeat, i suppose it depends what position the baby is in. so don't worry if you don't see one.

ultrasound info

HumphreysCorner · 23/08/2005 21:28

Diddle-haven't you tested yet?????????????????? Discharge isn't too heavy but more than I've had before.

HellKat- I am beginning to think it might be an infection as I feel lethargic and a bit off colour. I will wait until after the Bank Holiday before I bother the Dr as I hate going. Of course, if I feel any worse I promise I will phone up.

petunia-I am pleased you are Ok and hope you get an early scan. I would like one NOW to see what is going on. Perhaps we should all club together and buy a scan unit-lol!

I'm off to bed-regular thing lately going at 9pm as I feel v. tired but cannot sleep when I get there.

Will report tomorrow. Hugs to all of you.

Tabs · 23/08/2005 21:40

Hi Petunia - you should def be able to see a heartbeat at 8 weeks. I got an early scan this time due to my mmc, and although the baby wasn't massively baby shaped, you could make out some of it, and the heatbeat was really clear. I also know people who've had them at 7 weeks and seen the heartbeat fine. My m/w said that there's no point scanning before 7 weeks, but any time after that is fine. I did need a referral from my doc to get it, but the m/w organised that for me.

Tabs · 23/08/2005 21:40

And hello to everyone else - still lurking from time to time and looking out for BFPs. Hoping that there'll be lots more on here soon.
