TTC after a Miscarriage - Keep Trying!!!!

Well ladies, its about time we had a new thread, the old one is getting very long. Plus I think we need another fresh start, with lots of positive babydust:

.,'-.,'-.,'-',. .,'-.,'-.,'-',..,'-.,'-.,'-',. .,'-.,'-.,'-',..,'-.,'-.,'-',. .,'-.,'-.,'-',..,'-.,'- .,'-.,'-.,'-',. .,'-.,'-.,'-',..,'-.,'-.,'-',..,'-.,'-.,' .,'-.,'-.,'-',..,'-.,'-.,' .,'-.,'-.,'-',.

Get a big handful girls, i think we all need it.
I was trying to think of something great and positive to put, but this TTC lark is getting us all down, i'm fed up of trying, but we will all succeed eventually, our times will come.

It will be much better for our little ones to have a good start when our bodies are truly ready to carry them.

I'm already paranoid!! keep looking out for any twini get or cramps etc,i've got this feeling on my right lower side, not a pain or cramp or anything...the best i can describe it as is a 'presence'!!?It feels different to my other side, maybe thats where the implantation is??
I get all paniced and think what if its eptopic,or the only reason i've got a positive result is because i've got an ovarian cyst?i've read that both of those things can give you a pos test result too!!!I prob sound really nuts and i know i need to calm down abit, this is all so daunting for me though...sorry to bother you with all my probs when your all ttc still, and here i am,moaning, and i'm already bloody pregnant(hopefully!)
I think i'll be ok when i have a scan, and like you said before c.p,they'll keep a real close eye on me this time.
I just need to get these thoughts out of my head and have alittle reasurrance from someone!!??.x

shelly24 · 09/08/2005 20:44

meant to say...twinges i get!!(can't spell)

nicmum2boys · 09/08/2005 23:30

Hi Shelly, wanted to try and offer you some reassurance. Think what you may be feeling is the corpus luteum, this is the swelling on the ovary from which the egg is released. In pregnancy hcg makes it swell and grow bigger so it can produce progesterone and mainain the pregnancy. Just a theory anyway, don't know if you get ov pain, but anyway, stands to reason to me that a swelling on your ovary you're not used to might cause some discomfort. Would also explain why it's one sided, and remember everything is stretching and growing right now to accomodate that little bean you are carrying.
I don't think an ovarian cyst can give you a pos test result.
Hope this offers you some comfort, I know you are bound to be stressing over every little niggle at the moment (know I will be when I get there!) xx

CHOCOLATEPEANUT · 10/08/2005 07:26

Also Shelly in a second pregnancy everything is a little more sensitive and your body will be remembering what it has to do from last time. I noticed things much earlier with my second pregnancy.

You will be fine and the hosp (and us lot) will take care of you.

I only work mon-wed so hopefully when i go back it wont be toooo difficult!

Diddle · 10/08/2005 15:35

nicmum2boys · 10/08/2005 21:34

I'm still here.......... where'd everyone go???
Think I'm oving at the moment, although with my cycle being a bit shot who knows? We are doing what we're meant to be doing , so here's hoping for a May baby.
How are you doing Maddyd??

cori · 10/08/2005 23:20

Hi Nicmum
I am here, I lurk more than I post. Think I am Ov at the moment. BD not going so well though, must try harder

nicmum2boys · 10/08/2005 23:54

Hi Cori, know what you mean, I lurked for ages, and only tend to post if I've got something to say as it were, just a bit surprised it's been so quiet today.
Been trying desparately to relax, as per everyone else's posts, and have even been checking out future careers if things don't work out ttc. So far my only acheivement on the relaxing front has been drinking too much wine (now feeling guilty incase wrecked chances ) and point blank refusing to use all those ov testing kits stashed in my bedside drawer.....however am now as just discovered I am bleeding again. I just don't know what my body is playing at, thought I was oving, but am just about peed off with it now. Seriously considering reflexology to try and sort these dratted hormones out......need to do something, or just close he door on it all completely and get on with plan b.

maddyd · 11/08/2005 08:08

Im not going anywhere. I spent the day in bed yesterday sleepping though nit bding. Think i took too may pain killers the night before and yesterday i couldnt function at all, just had to keep closing my eyes. Had nothing to eat all and pain is fine today, gonnatry some breakfast soon though.

Im oving but not bding so wont be my month but im glad about that as i want to be drug free for when i try which is def next month. The thing is knowing im not trying this month has really relieved the pressure and stress and worry.
Im alot less emotional. Next motn is the month for me. I need to catch up with pg ladies.

HumphreysCorner · 11/08/2005 09:01

Morning ladies

It's our anniversary today-4 years! But, have got to have a horrible filling this afternnon then I'm off out with my friend who is home from Staffordshire so hope the numbness wears off before then.

Day 21 here now so AF due 1 week today-have convinced myself that milk tastes awful (usually the first thing I go off when PG). Have managed to win a Clear Blue PG test off E-Bay and have ordered 3 more ultra early pee sticks. I do find that when they arrive they are all the same reagardless of whether they are ultra early or just early and all say test 7-10 days after. The last lot I bought doesn't even say when to test so am a bit confused as to when to test.

I am pleased that Craig was booted out of Big Bro. Also, good on Eugene as I would have taken the money and I don't believe that Makosi wouldn't have taken it-liar!

Lost was quite good too but don't know if I can stick it until the end.

Promise you won't leave on my own on here or I will have nobody to talk to.

Have 2 of my friends coming here this morning with their 3 & nearly 4 year old DD's. One of them is the one who was due last Tuesday (9th) so hope we don't have a home delivery today.

Right, must go as have to tidy up. Hope everyone has a lovely day and I'll check up on you later.

((((((((((((((XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX)))))))))))))))

auntynon · 11/08/2005 09:18

happy anniversary HC. Still as impatient as ever, 11 since M/C. Stopped bleeding after 7 days, feel ok, just waiting for AF so I know where I am re TTC. Once I get to that point I'll be posting obsessively. Good luck to everyone doing tests in the next week.

auntynon · 11/08/2005 09:19

11 days!

petunia · 11/08/2005 10:24

Morning all,
HC- Happy Anniversary. You and I might be testing together next week then! I watched Lost too. DH said they're starting the 3rd series of it in the USA. It's OK but have they really managed to stretch being stranded on an island to a 3rd series?!

Maddyd- glad you're doing OK.

Been lurking the last few days. Just waiting for next Wednesday, when AF's due. Boobs not aching as much as on Monday but got DH to buy me some pg tests from Sainsburys last night just in case!
Have a good day everyone.

maddyd · 11/08/2005 11:25

Good Luck on testing Petunia and Chocolatepeanut, fingers and everything else crossed for you. xxxx

HumphreysCorner · 11/08/2005 13:37

petunia-my Clear Blue test & 3 ultra early tests arrived this morning-hmmmm, can I really wait until Monday to start testing????????? How about you? Watch this space.

Surely all those in Lost would be dead by the 3rd series especially having absolutely no food or water!

Got to get ready for my filling in an hour so byee for now

((xx))

nicmum2boys · 11/08/2005 14:43

Hi everyone. Been feeling very delicate today, drank far too much wine last night in a desparate bid to keep relaxed about everything. Now feeling really guilty and stupid in case I have mucked up my chances for another month .
Don't know what to make of it all at the moment. I was pretty sure I was oving last few days, as have had pains in my lower abdomen like I normally get, but had a slight bleed last night, and then today I've had loads of ewcm. Finally caved in and did one of those opk tests today and it was neg. Now confused. Does this mean I haven't oved, or could it mean that I already have? Does anyone know how long after oving they stay positive for? Would be a whole lot easier (and cheaper) if we all turned blue when oving and green when pg. Guess I just want to be in control of something I can't be in control of!

Happy anniversary HC, what a day to have a filling on! I got some early tests from ebay, and it wasn't until I'd used all 5 of them that I read through the instructions to the end and realised it said they were suitable from first day of missed period, not 4 days before as advertised. Was a bit miffed at the time, but I suppose they were right as were all neg.

Maddyd glad you're feeling better today. I know what you mean about taking a break from trying. DS1 took us 2 years to conceive, it was very stressful, and some months we did just deliberately not bother. Sometimes you just need to step off the "am I, aren't I?" rollercoaster and catch your breath.

petunia · 11/08/2005 14:44

Afternoon all,
HC- hope your mouth isn't too numb after your visit to the dentist. I don't really know when to start testing. AF is due Wednesday and I don't really want to do one earlier because the pg tests from Sainsburys are really expensive. Did put pg tests into Google and it came up with some sites, but haven't really investigated pg tests bought over the internet. So if anyone can recommend an internet company and type of test, I might drag the old credit card out and buy some!

HumphreysCorner · 11/08/2005 15:52

petunia-I have bought off www.earlypregnancy.co.uk before with next day delivery but much prefer buying off E-Bay and cheaper too.

My mouth is very numb now after the filling. At the time it wasn't quite so numb and hurt when he drilled-I don't think he waited long enough [ouch].

nicmum2boys-I tested on the day my period was due last time only because the sticks happened to arrive on that day so I am beginning to wonder if you can get a result several days before. www.peeonastick.com has some wonderful examples of result lines.

DD having a sleep so off to watch NipTuck from last night.

((xx))

LunarSea · 11/08/2005 16:27

Hi girls. Sorry not to get too involved in this every day, but after nearly 9 years of ttc (less about 18 months expecting/just after ds) it's sometimes hard to find anything new to say about it. Although perhaps I shouldn't be wishing for something new, as this month I am getting odd symptoms which haven't happened before.

I'm now on my 8th day of spotting/light bleeding, with intermittent gaps where it stops completely, but still nothing like the amount I'd usually get at the start of a proper AF. So I'm not sure now if this is CD25 of the last one, or CD8 of this one?

HumphreysCorner · 11/08/2005 17:28

Ooh LunarSea-why don't you test?
