Ridiculous Symptom Spotting... come on... you know you do...

millymoo1234 · 29/03/2010 21:22

OK, so since TTC I've thought (or wondered briefly) the following might be signs of being pregnant...

funny rash on my legs - still don't know what this was
three spots on my forehead - I was convinced this was a hormone induced 'breakout' as I don't normally get spots)
General bad mood - turns out I'm just grumpy
crazy dreams
needing a wee
not needing a wee
not liking the smell of coconut - weird
feeling very weepy and sore boobs - hmmm... this could have just been PMS!
stuffy nose

This month I have a massive craving for Mango which I'm normally indifferent to - I am of course CONVINCED that it's my month...

Am desperately trying to hold out till next weekend to test... I need distractions! anyone else had any funny symptoms and wondered if it could be a SIGN?

pleas join in the madness and let me know I'm not the only one! xxx

anything left in that bucket?!

My boobs are back to normal now though still very perky but not complaining and still very veiny so ruling out all boob symptoms from now on and i mean it this time, no more boob spotting!

seanybosmummysfedupwaiting · 08/07/2010 14:43

you girls crack me up

pmsl at Bossy and boob spotting

also pmsl at dice demanding gold stars

Somehow we manage to continue to smile through all the shite that comes with ttc, so therefore we all deserve a gold star!

Whoever in the world said that ttc is meant to be fun?! they must be deranged! either that or EXTREMELY fertile! lol

swizzle so jealous of your nice normal same sized boobs

TheDiceGirl · 08/07/2010 15:24

[hands gold stars out to everyone] YAY!

I swear if I didn't have you lot to make me laugh I wouldn't be coping as well as I am! We all deserve babies, gold star covered babies in fact! But I would also settle for a non-star-covered baby

I swear ttc was fun and exciting the first month... But that's just a distant memory now lol

I can't tell if I feel sick or I'm just hungry I will eat now and see if I puke it up!

seanybosmummysfedupwaiting · 08/07/2010 15:40

Thank you for my lovely star, its been a long time since i've been given one of these . (does picking them off ds's top count as he gets one every day in nursery for helping to tidy up lol)

Yes i agree dice the first month was a looooooooong time ago!!(june 2008 to exact). How sad .When was the last time you tested?

I was a complete starvo all day yesterday and today is the same. my weightwatchers has went out the window [looks round hungrily for some chocolate]

TheDiceGirl · 08/07/2010 16:05

Lol I don't think they count but you can pretend they do if it makes you feel better

Wow it really has been a long time for you then, I feel selfish being fed up after a few months now lol! Hmm that's a good question. My memory has gone to hell the last few days. I think it was last thursday. I'm getting funny feelings down there at the mo so af might finally be on it's way! I'd actually be happy if it was to be honest, it's horrible being stuck waiting for so long! Can't wait to be able to just get on with it again.

Blah I just had food and I certainly don't want to throw it up. If anything I want to eat it another 5 times or so lol. Must have been hunger pains then I'm tempted to reach for the cookies...

swizzlestar · 08/07/2010 16:22

I've just eaten a yogurt - and I'm not sure it's going to stay in my tummy!! I suffered really badly with sickness with dd...not hypermesis thingy, but lost lots of weight and for weeks could only eat white food, tiny sandwiches, bites of quiche etc.

This is my first month of trying, and I can't imagine how you lovelies are coping with this month after month. I've been so very lucky and fallen straight away with all 3 of mine, even though there's a 17 year gap between ds1 and dd. I was so surprised to fall with dd,then scared at how easily I fell and how slap dash I'd been with pill in the past!!!

row78 · 08/07/2010 17:30

can I join in? It took a year to conceive my son (and help) and we started trying last month. My period was due Monday, had womb ache for at least a week but pregnancy tests coming back negative. I felt sick on the way home today, but I am not sure if that's all in my head! Maybe I'm having a phantom pregnancy. I remember now how depressing this all was now and just want to my period to start so I can at least have some wine!

Going to try to not test again until Saturday if nothing happens before then.

row78 · 08/07/2010 17:31

oh yes and on the train I convinced myself there was a metallic taste in my mouth, I think I am actually losing it

Dandeliondrama · 08/07/2010 18:24

hey seany , (stares very hard at boobs in mirror) my boobs are a little bit different in terms of shape I think, but am finding it difficult to tell in terms of size. This is one for dh I think...although he may think that it's a trick question!

Dandeliondrama · 08/07/2010 18:30

Erm, sorry, I see I'm a little behind in the thread Somehow missed that it had gone on to the next page and that bossy had banned boob spotting. lol.

Am feeling rubbish today with some weird tummy virus thing. It's supposed to be the start of bd-ing time for dh and I, but I think he's going to have to wait another night. Uugh.

swizzlestar · 08/07/2010 19:45

row - yes you sound suitably paranoid about symptoms!!

dandelion - yuck at tummy virus. Timing hey??!!

I am seriously thinking of going to Tesco and getting one of those FR tests.........storm's bucket resolve didn't work, and I'm now convincing myself that my cheapie tests are faulty. Christ woman.....get a grip!!

StormTTCbabyNo1 · 08/07/2010 20:09

Stuff the hose pipe ban, get drenched!!!

swizzlestar · 08/07/2010 21:12

I didn't go!!

Have a wide awake 4yr old grrr. She was shattered after morning at playschool and afternoon with child minder and fell asleep when we got in. Normally she'd sleep straight through, but she woke up!! Just kicked her off my laptop ....

seanybosmummysfedupwaiting · 08/07/2010 21:18

rofl at fire engine antics

Don't do it swizzle!!!!!!!! Its too early!if you are preg then the test will still be +ve when af is late [that was my feeble attempt to restrain you ]

dandelion sorry your feeling so rotten, thats horrible timing. though i suppose the silver lining is if it was later in your cycle you might think this bug is a symptom!

Hi row . what age is your ds?

seanybosmummysfedupwaiting · 08/07/2010 21:20

oops swizzle crossed posts there.there was no need for my feeble attempt lol oh well take heed for tomorrow

row78 · 08/07/2010 22:20

swizzle - don't go and buy a FR test, mine came back negative and I'm clearly pregnant so they must be rubbish!

Hi seany, my son is 18 months and totally crazy. As I said we've only just started trying again but last time I was the queen of symptom spotting

bev2102 · 09/07/2010 01:24

Hi all. I love reading these posts they make me giggle so much!! You're all as nuts as me!!
I'm now on CD38 of UCL28 and have given up on poas myself. I took my sample into drs this morning and hope to hear back Friday, if not Monday. I've pretty much given up all hope of a BFP yet still have new symptoms developing daily (Inc DS pointing at me saying baby over and over, a tongue that feels as dry as Ghandi's flip flop and extreme tiredness!). Personally I think it's natures way of having a bloody good laugh and reminding us that something you want so very badly isn't always easy to obtain!
Welcome to the obsessive POAS thread Row I'm sure you fit in here just fine!
Good luck to all who are near testing time. Fingers crossed for you all. We desperately need some BFPs on here soon especially from those trying for over a year.

Will let you know what drs say when they give me the results.

bossyboop · 09/07/2010 08:45

Know what you mean swizzle about the pill, i was so good taking it before dd now I have to go upstairs 3 times before i finally bring down what went up for the first time so remembering a pill is hopeless, though thats why the madness has continued the last 3 years as even when not ttc ive still symptom spotted all that time whether i had missed pills or not

No vein spotting either, convincing myself there are new veins, like ive just grown them on purpose!

On a positive note after 12 days of pink cm the actual af was short so began BDing cd4 and cd6 so if theres any super early ovulation i stand a chance. Much more interesting than the saga on sky news, oh and my bag of tests is still bringing me happiness even though got a while before i can use one

row78 · 09/07/2010 08:48

frustrating isn't it bev, I'm only 5 days late and it's driving me mad

today I noticed that the hair on my legs had grown a bit and I only shaved them last week (it usually takes about 2 months to notice any hair on my legs after I've shaved them), clearly there has been a hormonal change!

bossyboop · 09/07/2010 08:53

2 months?!

swizzlestar · 09/07/2010 09:16

At the risk of copying bossy.......2 months?!!

swizzlestar · 09/07/2010 09:22

I need some advice on when to test!! Not that I'll listen, but just want to know your opinions of timing of wise ones .

This is my first cycle since having mirena out. Did what doc said and waited for first period for dating. I used opk's so knew roughly when I ov'd. I tried bbt but think my thermom is naff, either that or I'm a volcano inside pmsl!! So tomorrow is cd28....is that the "right" time to start testing?? I say start testing in the loosest possible sense as I've been poas for days lol.

row78 · 09/07/2010 09:27

I have really unhairy legs and arms, you can't even see the hairs on my arms and they've never been de-haired because they are so fine, it's brilliant

Unfortunately this doesn't extend to my armpits

bossyboop · 09/07/2010 09:43

lol @ swizzles 'wise ones' clearly not talking about me!

wow row, thats amazing, i shaved last night - super silky smooth, today not so smooth, lucky if i can get 2 hours fuzz free. I used to use an epilator on my under arms - fabulous, only stopped as im giving laser a go, just at home, couldnt afford salon treatments, have to use it once a month till its gone, so can only shave in between.

ZebraDiva · 09/07/2010 11:25

Hiya,

I'm due to test on the 15th, I've had period cramps for about 4 days now, maybe more but no AF.

Could this be pregnancy related?
