So a slightly lighter and less scary thread for those who are chucking away the pills and the condoms and hoping for the best!

That's kind of awesome, FancyALittle! (not the arm-chewing-offness of it, though). All the best for a fantastic day (and night, obviously).

My husband works in a different country, erratic few weeks there, few weeks here. So I definitely want to stay a JSer, because if I start charting too closely I'll be driving myself mad about whether he's around at ovulation time or no. I'd rather JS when he's around, as per, except pill-free now.

westcoastliving · 13/04/2010 20:44

Oooo scary . . . . just starting off on this rollercoaster ride. Was trying for 3 months last year but then got a new job and put it on hold. It's back on now though . . . . and I can feel the obsession grow already. Not helped by my best friend's just had a beautiful baby wee girl (2 weeks early). I want a baby!!

frakkinnuts · 13/04/2010 21:04

Fancy - DH and I did that too! Although it was actually nearly 7 months enforced abstinence...

frakkinnuts · 13/04/2010 21:09

redninablue - not that I'm stalking you but are you still living in France, having got married there?

frankenfanny · 13/04/2010 21:17

Just popping in- see we made most active again.

Big congrats notso! And welcome to all the other new "free" shaggers

I am still hanging around here because I haven't really taken it in yet and I don't want to jinx things, so I've not seen anyone official, will leave it a couple of weeks as then I feel I will be on a rollercoaster of tests (given my age) and having to tell everyone and happy for it just to be me and DH for now.

Had a few days of feeling completely normal and nearly tested again to be sure, but feeling sick again tonight, glad to be so !

gormers · 13/04/2010 21:34

Fancyalittle - I think that's amazing about the wedding night thing - although a shame it means abstinence in the meantime! Just don't do what we did and get so tired at the end of the big day itself that you both just fall asleep as soon as you hit the bed! (Probably the extra "just the 2 if us" champagne we drank helped that as well I guess!)

30andMerkin · 13/04/2010 22:14

franken, you might've graduated, but please don't go anywhere!

westcoastliving · 13/04/2010 22:27

Gormers - we did the same! I ended up sleeping in my wedding dress . . . . but that was all fine the next morning!

RedNinaBlue · 14/04/2010 11:17

Hi frakkinnuts - stalk away. No, I'm not living in France anymore; I was born and raised there but I'm in Belgium now, after much international peregrination.

(I got married in France because my Dad is the mayor of the tiny 'commune' I grew up in and it was great to have him officiating.)

If you're in France as an expat, I do hope you're enjoying it!

frakkinnuts · 14/04/2010 12:53

Being an expat would require somewhere to be an expat from really! We're in the Indian Ocean at the moment so more exile than expat

notso · 14/04/2010 21:26

Evening All,

Thanks for all the congratulations.

Told DH tonight, he is very pleased but shocked like me at the timescale.

pipi, he asked me if I had any gossip and I said "yes you're going to be a Dad again"

Will have to tell people at work asap too due to some of the crappy stuff I have to do there.

Sounds like some of you are having logistics issues which must be disheartening, but at least we're all JSing

PinkFondantFancy · 14/04/2010 21:27

AF arrived! yay! Haven't been this excited about it for about 14 years!! this means as of next week it's game on!!

PinkFondantFancy · 14/04/2010 21:32

Did you have a good birthday celebration over the weekend fender?

notso · 14/04/2010 21:34

Hooray Pink!

BrassicaBabe · 15/04/2010 12:43

Just popping in to say Hi.

I've been lurking but busy.

AF still here and after 5 days still doesn't look like it's going away!

takethatlady · 15/04/2010 13:33

Hi all,

That's funny about your wedding nights. I made the mistake of telling our friends I had never been so exhausted in my life as I was on my wedding night - prompting years of them ribbing my DH for his amazing performance. But I meant before the sex lol! My wedding present from him was something very naughty, and it was all I could do to keep my eyes open! But good luck on your big day (and night) Fancyalittle!

Well, I've been off the pill for five days. No AF as on my pill I don't get one - I've had about two in the last eight years (doctors assure me this is fine, and I wasn't about to complain!). I did come off the pill in October because I forgot to take it on a weekend away, and I waited until AF came to start it again - it took about four weeks, which is good.

But now I have bloody goddamn thrush!! This isn't a good start for all the shagging, which has not been happening. But it hardly matters I suppose, as I'm prob not fertile at the moment and really it would be better work-wise if it took a couple of months. But it's hard not to be impatient (for a baby, obviously, but mainly just for a shag...)

CONGRATULATIONS notso - that's amazing news! Very inspiring!

BrassicaBabe · 16/04/2010 15:52

Right. AF seems to have left the building - thank fuck. Literally.

'Tis my birthday and we're off for a posh meal. Let just shagging resume!

Have a good weekend girls

notso · 16/04/2010 16:02

Happy Birthday Brassica,
glad AF has departed, hope you have a lovely meal and enjoy your birthday weekend.

Have a large one for me

fenderbender · 16/04/2010 22:41

Dudes.

My AF is still not here, I reckon about 4 days late. Did do a test day it was due and was BFN. So. Do I test again before i go out to celebrate my 30th tomorrow night, OR do I hold til after and be in ignorant bliss?? Decisions decisions!

xx

30andMerkin · 16/04/2010 22:56

Dude, that is h.e.a.v.y. And loving the 70s channelling.

But seriously. I'm not sure I'd have the willpower not to sneak another cheeky test in!

How long have you been trying, how regular is your cycle normally, how likely is it that you are, actually, in fact pregnant?

Tbh, by some probably misplaced sense of responsibility, I'd have a few drinks, try not to go mad, but try not to ingest any other toxic substances, be they Benson & Hedges or a Big Mac!

frakkinnuts · 17/04/2010 14:57

Fender I'd test but that's just me! What a fab present it would be and if you aren't you can enjoy guilt free.

Hope you have a great night either way!

notso · 17/04/2010 16:37

I would test *fender8 dude, just so you know.

Have a great birthday either way.

Grannyapple · 17/04/2010 18:56

Hello lovely people! Loving this thread & PMSL at the earlier threads & obsessing-so glad to see I'm not the only crazy one!

Like westcoastliving also newish to this-trying for 3 months last yr, but started new job in new year so put on hold until now. Was late twice & convinced we were good to go, but BFN's both times. Late last month again but AF gone yesterday so back to the js tonight-woo hoo! 34, so a bit concerned about how long it will take to be mum, but hey ho, will have fun JSing in the meantime!

Congrats to those who have graduated-hoping some of their luck will rub off on the rest of us v.soon!

Just learning the lingo so apologies in advance fir any inane questions x .

30andMerkin · 18/04/2010 11:17

Hey fender Happy Birthday!

Hope you're feeling perkier than I am this morning (first proper night drinking for ages, DH stranded in Europe so figure it'll be well out of my system by the time we get round to TTCing again!). Did you test yet??

gormers · 18/04/2010 14:59

Can't believe it - should be JSing but now have thrush!! FFS!!! It's getting me so annoyed that I keep snapping at my poor hubby!!

Hope you're having a lovely birthday weekend Fender!
X
