Thans Lady but aint lost even an ouce of weight!!!

baby I hear you on not knowing when you ovulate!

OP posts:
Ladybird10 · 27/04/2010 20:28

Stac that name sounds nice, but yeah you might change you mind when she is born if she doesn't look like a riliegh
The test was a bit wierd but i'm just going to wait till cd40 to test again, thats if af hasn't arrived as 40 days is the longest cycle i have had since ttc, usually quite regular every 30/31 days. Definately don't feel pg though and i've been getting af cramps.

Fairy it can take a few weeks to noitice any weight loss so don't give up.

Baby i could always tell when i was about to ovulate because of the pain in my ovarys. Just try bd'ing 2-3 times a week then hopefully you will catch ovulation.

CareBear1 · 27/04/2010 20:29

Hi all

Fairy, am very impressed with the 3 miles a day and all that water, good work! doesn't matter if you don't lose an inch you must be doing yourself no end of good.

Lady that does sound odd i would test again if no af soon. keep us posted we are due another bfp.

Welcome the newbies, always interesting to hear other people's stories and helps with the feeling of not being the only one this is happening to!

Because I'm having this laparascomy in 6 weeks I feel a bit on hold till that is out of the way. Pee sticks showed I o'vd this weekend though and had a couple of good BDing sessions. Told my mum and my boss at work about the surgery cos of the 5 days off and general anasthetic - first time I've let on to either that something aint quite right and funnily enough I feel a bit relieved like a bit of a weight has been lifted. Think I might try to be a bit more open with family and friends from now on, i'm so secretive but maybe this is not helping.

my boss said she had a laparascomy and she ended up full of painful gas for days aftewards all up round her collar bone - those of you who've had this, did that happen to you?

enough ramblings for today. sorry not replied individually to all your posts, bit tired, but wishing you all sunshine babydust over the airwaves. x

Chloe55 · 28/04/2010 16:47

Carebear - YES! That happened to me, had a laparoscopy about 6 years ago. I thought someone had dropped me when I finally came round as my neck and shoulders were in agony - a much worse pain than my abdomen. I think if I had been warned I would have been prepared but seriously thought I had been accidentally rolled of the table or something and injured . Only lasts a few days though but not comfortable I am afraid .

Just coming off my period. Hoping dh's semen results will be through and another specialist appointment booked by next period.

womanlytales · 28/04/2010 17:00

carebear yes - laproscopic procedure involves a lot of CO2 being pumped into our stomachs so that the camera can work and while they try to remove it all out, some of it travels and lodges itself into different places. Ribs, shoulders and wrists. My DH was discharged from a laproscopic procedure the same day and was in SO MUCH PAIN that night it was horrendous. So when they offer you painkillers, do not refuse - take them all.
Seeing him go through this, I stayed in the hospie the night - managed to sleep well, no issues...then again the painkillers must have worked. I did have some pain in my shoulders when I moved and some pain in my wrists...I did walk around more post the procedure so perhaps that helped..and they also said I shd try spearmint tea that is supposed to help.

Clure · 29/04/2010 11:37

hi all,

hello to new ladies, this is a good supportive thread to be on!
Sorry not been on for a while, have just been run off feet at work. Still waiting for af, think this is the longest cycle ever! not sure whether to take provera, not heard about referral though I did give the consultant name to my Gp so hopefully that should have gone off now (having no faith in GP surgery emoticon)

liking your name choice Stac - is it a gaelic spelling?
Fairy - good on you for all the walking, its got to be doing some good
ladybird - keeping fingers crossed for a bfp for you
care - when is your lap booked for? I nearly had one first time round but the clomid kicked in and saved me from it. Sure you'll be ok, good that you know what to expect
big hello to all you other lovely ladies

just been out for a 30k bike ride, its a glorious day and I'm now going to do some housework ready for the inlaws visit this week end

tons of babydust to you all xxxxxx

Hi all, its been a while since i posted. Mainly because i havent been feeling that socialable and not sure what thread i belong on now!!

Anyway need a bit of advice from those that know. Its been 6 wks tomoz since i lost my baby. Yesterday i had a tiny bit of blood and though AF was coming today, but again onkly spotting. Do you think this is AF? Should i start my clomid tomoz or wait for a proper bleed?

Hope you are all ok
xx

Ladybird10 · 29/04/2010 21:22

Care it's good that you have spoken to people about the problems with ttc, my mum and sister and few other people know that we are having problems and i find it helps so much to be able to talk to them.
When i had the lap and dye i did experience some pain in my shoulders from the gas, i didn't know what was happening at first and the pain was quite bad so i made dp get the nurse and she explained it was the gas and gave me more pain releif which definately helps alot so just make sure you take the pain killers when advised. It will be fine though, i'm really glad i had it as it ruiled out any problems.

Clure well done for the 30k bike ride, that is amazing, do you do that on your own or with someone else? Hope af arrives soon for you.

Fairy sounds like your finally getting somewhere with the referral. Ive tried drinking 1-2 litres of water but i'm forever visiting the toilet so gave up on that.

Popsy hope your ok, i'm also not sure what thread to be on as not taking clomid at the mo but i quite like this one and everyone is so nice, once iui starts i might pop on to the assisted conception thread aswell as this one. Regarding your spotting if it was me i would wait for a proper af.

I'm going to test again at the weekend, probably saturday, don't have much hope but it will be cd39 so might as well. My mum was getting all excited earlier as i couldnt drink 2 cups of tea as they tasted funny, probably just in my head though

xx

popsy1 · 30/04/2010 17:48

Thanks lady, AF arrived properly today so i suppose its back on clomid tomorrow.

Fairygodmother1 · 01/05/2010 08:50

Sorry for late post but pops I would have waited till a proper bleed. You belong here!!! I'm not even on clomid now but still here!

No fair - I put on 6lbs this week although I walked 27miles at least over 5 days!!! Plus 2 lts of water on average a day!!! When will it make a difference?????

OP posts:
popsy1 · 01/05/2010 10:58

Thanks fairy that was a lovely thing to say. Taking the clomid tonight. Never thought I'd av to do that again!
God te female body is annoying. Where r u in yr cycle? Maybe that's something to do with it. Keep it up though. It'll balance itself out. I'm walking again with dh although only 3 times a week, just don't have time for anymore.
Xx

babyfrankie · 01/05/2010 16:13

Lady bird, thanks for info, i am getting sharp pain about 3 times in month do you think i should be worried? how is the iui process going for you? latest?

Fairy great great great news about your referral x

Carebear, think it is great that you have told a few people, I know how you feel though, at least you can relax and act how your feeling and not hide it etc. told both sets of parents and a few close friends and although got paraniod that his parents may feel its my fault etc it does have its benefits when i am feeling tearful etc and dont have to hide or explain why

pops welcome to thread, good luck with being back on clomid x

So the latest is I went to scope out the fertility clinic (my plan b) if at the next cons appointment they tell me to take more clomid,(stomach also swollen to 4 months preg size at the mo) it went well v informative and explained the IVF process fully, although they do other they do other treatment such as a monitored cycle, iui etc beforehand and only ivf if needed. anyhow chatted to one of the nurses at the end as when explaining our situation she asked what they were finding when i was being scanned, and i am not being scanned on the clomid, is anyone else? Also, trying to track down Day 21 progesterone test results again its like getting blood from stone with gp's

Also, have taken early preg test today and negative.

Sick of have swollen belly

Hope your all well xxx

popsy1 · 01/05/2010 17:10

Thanks for the welcome baby, although i am not new to this thread, been on it a while and absent for a month or so. RE. your pains it may be worth a mention on the next visit to the docs especially if you have a swollen tummy, need to be careful of over stimulation. I havent read back all your posts so not sure of your situation. Sorry bout the negative test, but you did say its early so dont give up hope.

Is it all systems go now fairy? Hope you had fun with your best friend.Shame we dont live near each other fairy, could do with a walking partner!!

Hi to everyone else, oldies and those newbies i havent yet had contact with.
Enjoy the long weekend

Fairygodmother1 · 01/05/2010 17:48

Where are you again pops? I think I'm on day 7 of cycle! Just a quickie tonight! xxx

OP posts:
popsy1 · 01/05/2010 17:57

Location or Cd? Location- Warwickshire, CD2!!although had 2 days of spotting.

Clure · 01/05/2010 20:14

hiya,

Fairy, it may be all the extra water making the scales read heavier? think positive eh? Glad you are having a good weekend

babyfrank, welcome. I think its potluck where you live as to whether you are being offered scanning/monitoring. I would deffo take up the monitored cycle though it can tell you a lot, also given your symptoms, like pops said your ovaries may be over stimulated

pops, good to have you back on the thread and wishing you so much luck back on clomid. I (like fairy) am not taking clomid at the moment but its just great to have a support network of great people who understand the sort of stuff you are going through

lady, thinking of you and your testing today aren't you? Best of luck to you.
I mainly go out riding by myself but sometimes my friend's come out too nearer races, I am the more keener of cyclists, they are happy to run ( I am the madder and like to do both!!)

hi stac how are you doing
hope rest of you ladies are enjoying the long weekend

had nice day, DH parents down and DD being spoiled to death. Had busy day packed in loads and DD was up at 5.45. I've just bought some major strength wrinkle face lift type cream hoping it will do the job. Was looking at some old photo;s of when DD born and my face look far more youthful and a bit plumper, now just look like a hag

Feeling that ttc #2 may not happen for us, just seems to be slipping away

anyway am now going to stop rambling and go and enjoy a glass of something cold

babydust xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Ladybird10 · 01/05/2010 22:29

Popsy good luck with the clomid this month, you live in the same county as me, how bizarre we really could be neighbours lol

Fairy keep up the hard work, it will definately pay off soon.

Baby i also get the sharp pains occaionally, i think mine is maybe because of my cyst, but you should definately mention it to the nurse though, sorry about the negative test but could still be in luck if it was early.

Clure don't give up hope on baby number 2, it can still happen for you once you have ivf you could be one of the lucky ones that it works first time.

Well i was suppose to be doing a test today but i kind of caved in yesterday afternoon, the reason i did it yesterday afternoon was because i had heard that ovulation tests can be used as pg tests and i have one opk left from when i tried using them one month, so i collected my sample but to be honest there wasn't much to collect and i used the opk and a very visable line came up, well i've never once seen a line when i used them before so i started getting a bit excited and thought maybe i am, so i had 2 superdrug tests left so i tested and it was a BFN It's just wierd that the opk came up positive as definately not ovulating, so i wasted a test and it wasn't even fmu. But still no af. Really wish i wouldnt have tested yesterday afternoon as i still have that bit of hope that i could still be pg and the reason it was negative was because it wasn't fmu. Do i sound like i clutching at straws??? Yeah i think so too!!!
I have one test left so dp said to do it on Monday if af hasn't arrived and if it's negative then i won't be wasting anymore tests becase there is obviously something wrong with my body.

xx

Fairygodmother1 · 02/05/2010 14:26

Yeah a bit far to be walking buddies!

Clure Thats so unfair if it the water. Normal daily intake should be about 2lt. Maybe my body has a lot of fat to burn first & lots of muscle to tone!
I also need anti-wrinkle cream & noticed that I'm looking a lot older than I used to (I know that sounds obvious)
Don't give up...we'll get there.

lady Thanks for the encouragement! Good luck for monday then!

I think this is the place to be for support cos we've been here a while & we've all been through so much together - the highs & lows.

OP posts:
popsy1 · 03/05/2010 12:44

Lady where abouts are you? You dont have to say but i am curious. Did you test today? Hope it was good news.
Clure its frustrating isnt it? But dont give up, there is still hope. I cant remember are you doing ivf or iui?
fairy hopr your long wekend is going well. I havent walk at all this week

Its DS birthday wednesday so we've had a houseful of teenagers!!Cant believe my boy is so grown up!
Love to all
xx

Fairygodmother1 · 03/05/2010 13:37

Hi pops,
The walking will be back in gear tomorrow. My best friend went home yesteray so I'm dossing around the house on my own. Quite enjoying it but it's soooo bloody cold!
How about you?

OP posts:
Ladybird10 · 03/05/2010 13:52

Popsy i go to the crm in Coventry and i live about 15 miles from there. How about you? Happy birthday to your ds for Wednesday

Well bad news for me as usual, the wicked witch arrived yesterday morning I even said no to a glass of wine the night before as was to worried just in case i was pg, wish i would of had it now. Why does my F'ing body have to play tricks on me. I cried a bit yesterday but i'm fine today and glad that it has came so i am closer to iui plus i'm happy that it's here now and not when we go to spain next weekend. Also i didn't waste another test which is good and i can now drink on holiday too

Baby i forgot to answer your question in the last post about iui, i should be starting it this month but because af is late i can't because of being on holiday when i would need to go into hospital for scans etc, so this is my last month of trying naturally and then we will start iui at the beginning of June when next af arrives.

Hope everyone else is ok, such crap weather for a bank holiday weekend

xx

popsy1 · 03/05/2010 14:46

Thanks for DS's pre birthday wish lady. I also go to CRM in Coventry and live approx 15miles away Really intrigued now!
Sorry AF arrived, its always a blow, something you never get used to, i am not looking forward to going through that part again. But as you said you can now have a few drinkies on holiday, every cloud .....

Fairy its hidious here as well, keeps pouring with rain and then stopping and starting. No walkies for us today i dont think. Planning instead

xx

Ladybird10 · 03/05/2010 15:34

It's a small world Popsy I am also intrigued, we probably live in the same town
AF is always hard to take when it first comes but i just keep telling myself that one day it will stay away and i will see a BPF. I don't think i will beleive it when it does happen though.
It's good to know that you can get pg on clomid so there's no reason why it won't work again

xx

Ladybird10 · 03/05/2010 15:35

A BPF??? Hmmm BIG POSITIVE FAT? lol
