My monday has been quite good for a change .
How is everyone else?
Good luck to all ttc xxx

Ladybird10 · 15/03/2010 20:46

Hi All

Ven you certainly don't need to apologise, it really is ironic how you bought your prescription when infact you were actually pg, it's always the way though, but how great that you conceive the month before iui. After 3 years of trying you so deserve it This is my 19th month of trying, hopefully i will get there one day.

Fairy thats fantastic that your ovulating, hope you'll get some bd'ing in. we're cycle buddies and i ovulated about 10 days ago, i had all the signs of ovulation but even a week after i was still getting EWCM, Wierd!

What name have you decided to call lo Stac, there are so many nice girl's names, so many more than boys names i think

Babydust to all *

stac14 · 15/03/2010 21:07

lady we're not completely certain to be honest. We like Rilliegh but sil decided to slag it off so I really dont know.

fairy good to hear about the oving, get to bding lol

Any nice girls names you can think of would be appreciated, DP's surname begins with M xx

haribofan · 15/03/2010 21:43

Hi all, sorry to crash in your thread but wondered if any of you ladies could help? I am on my first clomid cycle. AF started at 9pm on Saturday eve so I then thought Sunday would be CD2 and took the first pill on Sunday am (12 hrs after AF started). The clinic say I'm wrong and shouldn't have counted Sat as CD1. Well, it's done now but does anyone know how this may affect things? So according to them I'm taking it days 1-5 when it should be 2-6. It would be a bad idea for me to risk conceiving twins as have had IUGR with DC1. Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

stac14 · 16/03/2010 10:15

haribofan lots of people take clomid on different days, some women have started clomid without having af at all and got bfp. Try not to worry i'm sure the clomid will do its job, some clinics prefer cd 2-5 but i dont think it changes things. We are all guilty of messing it up. What monitoring are they giving you? I'm not sure the odds for twins, its slightly higher than normal but they should be keeping an eye on you. Anything else you want to know just ask, we've all been there x

Fairygodmother1 · 16/03/2010 20:34

haribofan like Stac said, everyone takes it on diff day. As long as you were in full flow i can't see it being an issue.

Hi all!

Well EWCM seemed to last a day so hoping that BDing last night was enough. Ooh I hate this not knowing.

How is everyone? It's really quiet on here lately!

Dreaded visitors at our school tomorrow!

Ladybird10 · 16/03/2010 21:02

Stac i think you should call your baby what you want and don't let you sil influence your decision. Not everyone likes the same names but it's what you and your dp like that matters

Hope everyone is ok, it has been very quiet on here.

I'm on cd25 and have (tmi)creamy cm, usually get this when af is on it's way so looks like i'm out for this month, bit annoying as we BD'ed 4 times in the week i ovulated which you would think would be enough

Hi Haribofan we all have quite alot of experience regarding clomid. I would have done the same if af arrived in the evening, i would have taken clomid the following evening as that is cd2

xxxxxx

Clure · 16/03/2010 21:05

just popping on to say hi all
as fairy said we have visitors at school tomorrow and have been snowed under with work so not had much time to come on here. ANyway just to wish you all lots of love and babydust and will pop back later xxxxxxxxxx

stac14 · 16/03/2010 21:26

hey ladies, does anyone know how the norovirus starts? I've been feeling out of sorts all day, nauseous, dicky tum but not sure what it is. Maybe just a virus, seem to pick everything up just now.

fairy just keep bding as if you've ov'd the eggs there for bout 2days, when i fell pg we didnt bd on the actual day but it worked. Good luck tomorrow

Thanks lady as i said we're not certain yet but as you say its no-one elses business. Remember it aint over till af arrives so dont quit just yet

clure hope your ok and not mega stressed hun, whats been happening with you?

ven how are you hun?

popsy been thinking of you luv x

popsy1 · 17/03/2010 15:11

Hi all.

Thought i would update you whilst i have chance.

We had the results of the cvs and it isnt good news. Our baby boy has platau's syndrome as well as a large exomphalos, with little chance of surviving the rest of my pregnancy let alone the first month.
We are both devastated and dont really know how to handle the emotions we have at the moment. We havent told our son yet either. What/if to tell him???? The million dollar question. Why is life so f*in unfair??? We have lost one son, i am not sure how to handle loosing 2!

I think this is the end of the ttc road for me, i can not go through this again.

I will miss chatting to you ladies, i have become fond of you all, esp those from the start of my ttc mn journey. I may still look in from time to time although not sure if i will post. Anyone wanting to keep in touch let me know their email.

Wishing you all good health and happiness in your lives. Take care

beckylou85 · 17/03/2010 17:42

Aww Popsy i'm so sorry hun. I can't begin to imagine how you are feeling. I wish you all the best for the future and really hope if you do decide to carry on ttc, that you get your baby. Feel a little weepy now just thinking about what your going through .

haribofan · 17/03/2010 18:14

Popsy I am so sorry to read your sad news. You must be heartbroken. Good luck with whatever path you take next.

Thank you ladies for your replies about my cock-up with the clomid. The nurse on the phone made me feel like I'd blown it but to not 'beat myself up about it'! Another cycle down the drain hey ho!

Another question, I don't get much ewcm normally and I hear clomid makes it even more sparse. Has anyone got any top tips apart from grapefruit juice? Also have any of you used pre-seed on a clomid cycle? I've used it for the last 3 cycles and kind of feel like I can't be bothered with it anymore.

stac14 · 17/03/2010 19:04

popsy i am so sorry about what your going through huni and hope whatever you decide everything works out for you. I cant imagine what your going through but our love and thoughts are with you.

haribofan you could take evening primrose oil capsules but only up till ovulation then a break till after ovulations done or try green tea. Cant think of any others hun

Hows everyone else? X

Fairygodmother1 · 17/03/2010 19:32

Hi Pops I'm totally devastated for you! I don't know what to say & anything I do say won't be much of a comfort at the mo! Please keep in touch. Big hugs & lots of tissues.

haribo I only really noticed EWCM until I started taking clomid. I can't really tell if I'm ovulating as i have PCOS so I can't use OPKs! Evening primrose & grapefruit juice are said to be good. As is pineapple apparently!

Stac how's you hon?

How is everyone else?

popsy meant to say my email addy is posted further up the thread, feel free to mail me hun

Clure · 17/03/2010 21:39

pops - so very sad to hear your news, its so utterly unfair. My heart goes out to you and your family

stac - hi, I'm ok, just about coping at the moment, we had ofsted in today so both fairy and I are feeling shattered.

haribo - I've used preseed, it is a bit of a faff

fairy - hope you ok hun and that your feedback was ok

haven't heard about referral yet, have been so taken up with school stuff my mind hasn't had room for a lot else. I am off tomorrow so must make time to ring GP

just treated my hair for nits, nice! Got hair appointment tomorrow so hoping I've zapped all the little buggers or it could be embarrasing!

hello to the rest of you ladies hoping you all ok
throwing lots of babydust our way xxxxxxx

CareBear1 · 17/03/2010 22:48

Pops, sending you all my best wishes, really hope you get through the next few months ok.

Ven, that is amazing news, congrats. what do you think made the difference this month?

Hi to everyone else, hope you're well. I haven't taken Clomid this month - after bleeding every day between ov and af last month plus severe pains on my good side during my af it has scared me a lot so am waiting to see the cons in 6 weeks before taking anything else.

watched the time travellers wife tonight on dvd - beautiful film.

Ladybird10 · 18/03/2010 14:27

Popsy i'm so sorry this is happening to you again, why does life have to be so shit? You deserve your beutiful baby that you have waited so long for so why do this have to happen, i hope you will get through this and eventually feel better, your news has made me feel sad, big hugs to you and your husband, take care xxx

I had my iui appointment today, not very nice having the presentation with 9 other couples, i only told my dp at the last minute that there would be other couples in the same room as i knew he wouldn't be pleased, he wasn't, but hey ho. I told him that we had come this far that we have to go through with it all now, he was ok in the end, i told him if he feels embarrassed then i would stand up in front of everyone and tell them it's me that has the problem and not him lol, i wouldn't have really but just said it to make him feel better as it is me with the problem, dp has 69 million swimmers so definately not him lol. I think he's now realised that it's me that will have alot to go through with the injections etc, all he has to do is provide his sample.
Anyway i'm due on in the next few days so i can't start all my tablets and injections until the following month as dp and i have to have blood tests etc so wouldn't be enough time to start iui this month

Hope everyone is ok?

Extra strong babydust ***

Fairygodmother1 · 18/03/2010 17:29

Clure did you chase the GP. I haven't heard anything either yet. maybe if I get home earlier tomorrow I'll pester cons then.

Care I've got that film in waiting on my lovefilm account.

Yeah Ven, what do you think made a difference?

Lady good luck with it all. Hope it works.

BDed last night hoping I am actually and still ovulating. Still getting niggles so thats hopefully a good sign. Visit over from our visitors at work so can relax(ish).

Venetia2 · 20/03/2010 09:27

Popsy just logged on and seen your news. I am so sorry for how things turned out. I know we would welcome you if you ever do want to drop us a line in the future. I still don't have the right words but my thoughts are with you and your DH.

Care and Fairy in answer to your questions about what made the difference I'm not sure. I drank gallons of grapefruit juice (never again) and just used the Clomid. Not sure that I did anything else different apart from trying to think more positively. I had become so convinced every month was going to end in disaster that it was really bad for me. Just tried to re focus on why we were going through it all. (Although the thinking positive had mixed results as I still ended up convinced it hadn't worked!)

Hi Haribo, Stac, Becky, Clure lady
Debs Pink and everyone else (there are so many of us I am bound to have forgotten a few). Hope everyone is having a good weekend...

Debicemmy2 · 20/03/2010 13:36

stac my son is 23 hun...........he is such a star and im going to miss him so much.......he comes home every week end so will take some time to get use to eh. Ill try hard just to get on with life and not worry too much

Hi ven how many weeks are you hun? bet your so happy

Hope you ALL have a nice week end.
