Stac school was a bit of a leisure day friday as it was sports relief!

I seem to have EWCM again today! Am I ovulating still? Had a lot of stitch like pains around my hips & the side of my waist if you get what I mean. I also feel a bit full of indigestion.

Yeah we miss you pops! Been far to quiet on here recently.

Worked on school stuff most of today as DH is working.

I'm due on tomorrow Always dread it because of how much pain i will be in.

xx

Fairygodmother1 · 20/03/2010 19:30

Well apparently on day 29 which would be my due on day when on clomid. I think it's gonna be another two weeks. According to fertility friend I've been fertile over a week! lol. I'm becoming a medical marval!
Just wish I knew what the hell was going on down there! Wish my super power was xray vision (but only on myself).

hey ladies

fairy what cd are you on? Bet you enjoyed sports relief, you can have loads of fun with it. Totally agree about xray vision, then we would be able to be exact with oving, preggers symptoms etc

debs you must be very proud of him, doing what hes doing. Hard I know but he is doing us all proud.

Aww lady hope it doesnt come or your not very sore this time, I got gave metphemic acid from the doc for my cramp which I was allowed to take with cocodomol. I must admit I couldnt get through af without painkillers and heat pads

how have you been ven? Have you saw the docs?

Hey to everyone else, how are you all? xx

Hi Debs only 5 weeks, really early so trying not to get too excited. Actually a nervous wreck that something might go wrong!

Stac called my GP last week, have early scan through fertility clinic a week monday...which will be just over 6 weeks.

Hi everyone else!!

Ladybird10 · 21/03/2010 15:13

Stac the doctor game me methenamic acid for my periods, it's the only thing that works, well it eases the pain alot but the pain is very stong until i take one of those tablets, paracetamol doesn't do anything.

Well af hasn't arrived today, lasy cycle was 31 days and tomorrow will be cd31, i'm sure it will come tomorrow. Bought some pg tests from superdrug as a two pack was bogof for £4.99 (bargain) doubt i will need to use them though, only really bought them for when i start iui

Ven i would find it very hard not to get excited but i can understand why your not just yet. It must have been so nice to see that BFP.

Fairygodmother1 · 21/03/2010 15:21

lady I've used that in the past for my periods. That was just after I came off the pill years ago. Beginning to think I prob need to start it again as I end up taking soluable asprin & hotwater bottles & still in agony.

Still medical marval going on here. No more EWCM so far today. BDed this morning just to make sure there's some swimmers around just in case.

Am feeling slight less manic about TTC this month. I think I'm gonna give up trying to predict what my body is trying to do!

BFPs seem to be a myth to me - about as true as meeting Zeus or something for me. lol.

How's everyone's Sunday? Think Spring has sprung!

Ladybird10 · 21/03/2010 16:42

Fairy you should definately start taking it again, without it i can't function, sounds a bit extreme but it's true, the pain is horrible and i used to just have to go to bed, but since taking methanamic acid i can function better

My Sunday has been ok, we went out for coffee and cake, the weather is gorgeous

hi ladies,
just thought I'd pop on and say hello. Hoping you all having a good weekend, though it's nearly over! Went out to a friends 25th wedding anniversary party, they are irish and so the evening was a thrill of much drinking, irish riverdance (serious- they invited local irish dancing troup to perform, absolulely stunning) accordian playing, drunken "oh danny boy's" etc and so I succumbed to a few glasses of something cold and today am a little fragile.
still no af here for me (last af 2/1/10) I'm still being useless at contacting GP, time has gone mad this week
Its good now weather has improved, had a lovely riverside walk earlier
Here's to a calmer week x

ladybird10,

Has anyone ever mentioned the possibility of endometriosis to you?. I only ask as consistently painful periods could = endometriosis.

Mefanemic acid is only a short term solution. Treating the symptoms is one thing but they need to find the CAUSE. Endo as well is usually only diagnosed through laparoscopy; blood tests and ultrasound scans won't detect it.

Debicemmy2 · 21/03/2010 20:37

True what Attila says. I have endo and by god do I know it some months........been alot better since I had it treated mind.

Hope all you lovelies are well and had a nice week end, im so not well......tummy bug I think or could have something to do with my son going afghan tomorrow.....well wednesday but leaving here tomorrow. Not looking forward to it one bit.

Ven just keep positive hun......everything will be just fine you will see. You take good care of yourself and do lots of reating girl

Attila i also thought i had endemetriosis as since coming off the pill 19 months ago i have been having extremely painful periods, my dp and i looked on the internet and i had all of the symptoms so i went to the doctor and she told me to just take the tablets as its normal for painful periods, but i wasn't going to accept that as mine do not feel normal, so she referred me for a laporoscopy which i had last summer and they couldn't find any endo and also run dye through my tubes which were clear, i was very surprised when he said there was no endo and my ovarys were perfectly fine, i also have a cyst that comes and goes around the time of my period, he couldn't see that either....i was told that i am just one of the unlucky ones who suffer with painful periods and i just have to take pain relief i still think there is something wrong but what can i do if their telling me i'm fine, they surely know what their taking about, although sometimes i do wonder.

Sorry fot the long post, hope everyone has had a good Monday

Deb hope the tummy bug isn't to bad, you must be very proud of your son

Ladybird10 · 22/03/2010 17:21

Lucy i forgot to say that i ovulated on about day 15 when i was on clomid, it made my cm very dry though so the only way i knew i was ovulating was because of the ovary pain

xx

Fairygodmother1 · 22/03/2010 19:05

Lucy I think we are all different. I think I ovulated around day 12 & only began to spot EWCM when I started taking clomid. There's no right & only answer. It should make her ovulate but you never know. Has she tried relaxation techniques - reflexology, acupuncture, massage etc? Maybe she's stressing too which, which we are all guilty of!!!!

Deb hope you feel better soon. I'm sure he'll be fine. My cousin's boyf just signed up & she's beside herself!

hi ladies,

debs hope your ok, i know today would have been hard for you, thinking of you {{hugs}}

lady paracetamol is crap, when i first got bfp i had loads of cramps and the only thing your allowed are paracetamol. Rubbish lol! Has af came?

fairy i totally stopped symptom spotting before bfp and had started to believe i would never have another baby. Maybe my lack of paying attention to ttc made the difference as i wasnt stressed about it. Hope your ok

Hope everyones ok x

Fairygodmother1 · 22/03/2010 20:03

Hi Stac I'm fine. I think I've only just ovulated so I'm not expecting af for another week or so. Keep getting aches but think some might be psychological.

Sat & Sunday I had terrible nightmares. Hoping for a relaxing night sleep tonight. Think I'll go to bed early!

Hi all, i'm new on here, thought I'd give it a go as struggling at mo!

Been ttc for a year and a half now, been diagnosed with PCOS and under consultant. was put on clomid for three months, didn't ovulate while on it, then DR took me off it saying i needed to loose 2 stone before he'd treat me. he also said that he would only give me the clomid for 9 months and wouldn't up the dose as the drug is dangerous and can cause cancer!

Has anyone else been told it's dangerous, I can't decide whether to take it again or not, which leaves me wondering what to do next.

By the way, I've lost 1 and a half stone, so half to go!

Hope someone can help

stac14 · 22/03/2010 20:40

hey lj30 welcome to the thread. i've never heard of clomid causing cancer it can cause your ovaries to become hyperstimulated which isnt good, but usually if that occurred you would be advised to skip a month of clomid. Are you being monitored on clomid? Has your cons said what your next step is?

Aw fairy you poor thing, bad dreams knock you for six don't they. Hope you get a better nights sleep tonight x

lj30 · 22/03/2010 20:50

thanks, my cons said he will put me back on the clomid for a max of 9 months once I have lost the weight, he also said that he will drill my cysts. He said he will only ever put me on the lowest dose and not exceed the 9 months, after that it's ivf. he's supposed to be the top fertility specialist in my area but he seems very cautious.

I feel really out of control of my life

Ladybird10 · 22/03/2010 21:06

Stac i agree paracetamol is rubbish unless the pain is very mild, i bet you wanted to take something stronger but obviously can't because of the baby. AF hasn't arrived yet, i'm usually quite regular, every 29/30 days but ive had about 3 longer cycles of 35/36 and 40 days, looks like it might be one of those again which has really annoyed me because if i don't come on by tomorrow then i won't be able to have iui for another 2 months as it would fall on the week we are away in May and i really don't want to cancel my holiday abroad.

Welcome lj30 i have heard about clomid causing cancer but it is very very rare, well done for loosing a stone and a half, that is amazing

xx

Debicemmy2 · 23/03/2010 12:05

WELCOME TO THE TREAD lj30 everyone on here are lovely and very helpful. I was told the same hun but the con said it has been known but not common.

Stac was really hard yesterday but I held it together............ until I was told that my dear friend with brain cancer was really bad and there is nothing more they can do for her. Then I went to bits to be honest. My other friend who had her booby off has just found out she has a dif cancer in her spine(but doing really well I might add) And another friend who I work with just passed away last week. In the last 7 month I lost my best friend her hubby and mum.....just seems to be coming round again. sorry to go on but need to get it off my chest. we all moan but I really do thank good for my life, we really dont know how lucky we are eh.

Hope ALL you lovlies are well and looking after yourself,
Not sure what CD I am.......trying not to count lol
take good care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

stac14 · 23/03/2010 12:59

Thats what we're here for deb what a traumatic time you are goin through, mind to let off steam whenever you want.

lj30 soz to have given conflicting info, i was never told that side effect. My cons only ever upped me to 100mg clomid as he said above that doesnt make a difference for women with pcos. I took it for 6months and only ov'd once, cons said it was pointless goin on longer as it wasnt working for me. He wanted me to go for ivf which we would have to fund as i already have a son. I asked to be given metformin with clomid for a few months to see if that would help. I took metformin at 1500mg per day for 2months it was then increased to 2250mg and got bfp in november. I didnt take clomid again. Its all trial and error. I'm now nearly 24wks pregnant so it can happen hun. Well done on the weight loss i did the same, it can help. Just incase your wondering why i'm still on here, i am eternally grateful for the support i recieved so cant bear to leave lol

Fairygodmother1 · 23/03/2010 18:36

Welcome lj30 I have PCOS, been trying for what feels like forever ( 2 & 1/2 years), was on clomid for 6 months which did make me ovulate. My cons has put me forward for IVF as we've been trying so long but hasn't given me any more clomid. I did ask for metformin but he claimed it wouldn't work. He wouldn't up my dose of clomid either. Not been told about causing cancer.

We've def found on here that cons all over the country tell us different things when it comes to clomid & TTC!

Aww big hugs Deb. Life is so bloody unfair!

How is everyone?

Another nightmare last night & have a raging toothache since I got home!

It's been a tough day at work to...
