Fairy are you having IVF on NHS? I'm not sure if we will qualify as my step kids live with us so were already a 'family'.
Good luck to all ttc xxx

Clure · 12/03/2010 21:48

pops so so sorry to hear your news you must be in bits. Massive hug, keep us all posted x

stac - thanks hun, glad you are all ok

care and becks - its a bugger isn;t it? I',m still waiting for Af (nearly 3 months since last one)

fairy - how are you? I started weaning DD at just before 6 months, although I have a friend who started around 5 as her Ds was a hungry baba and just displayed all the signs was ready for solids. it really depends on the little one and parents instints. hope you have a rest this weekend

ran 18k this morning, in training for my half marathon, DD was hounding me out of bed at just before 6 wanting help to dress her bloody Barbie and brush her hair!!! so am now off to chill

wishing you all a good friday evening xxxxx

Fairygodmother1 · 12/03/2010 22:39

Beck yea on NHS. Only entitled to 2 rounds. I don't think you will free as your DP has kids. Neither of us have kids.

Clure hope af arrives soon. My niece wa 6 weeks & nephew was 3 months & new cousin is 3 months in a few weeks & she's starting tomorrow. I think my bro's girlf is being totally OTT. It's cos my sister suggested it & not her mother!

Hi everyone, Sorry I not had a chance to post in a while, been going through the mill, I can tell you

Work very hectic, too tired at night and can't be bothered putting on the computer. Well I'm CD 39 today - still no AF. Got to phone infertility nurse on Tues to get that shot in the ass again. Defo not pg, starting 100mg clomid next cycle. Can't wait for that (NOT).

To top things off, got the ressult of my MRI scan for my ankle and achilles tendon hasn't healed properly. Seemingly it was a full rupture, not a partial rupture so they let me out of stookie too early (was in 10/10/09-07/12/09) 7 weeks already. Going back on Monday for another stookie, god knows how long that'll be on, up to 6 wks I'm told.

Not in the best of moods - sorry to read everyone's lows but nice to see the positives. Decided to have a drink today, got our friends coming through, need to chill out

Take care everyone super glue sticky baby dust to all.

Venetia2 · 13/03/2010 16:21

popsy I am so sorry for what you are going through. I guess you are feeling pretty overwhelmed and stressed at the moment. I don't have the right words, but I am sending lots of positive thoughts your way. Hope you and your dh are taking care of yourselves.

Shev sorry you are going through the mill too.

Hi everyone else, how are you all doing?

Sorry I have been so quiet this week. Way back when, earlier in the week, someone asked me if I had any pg symptoms, the answer was definately no. CD28 today and all normal, some cramps etc.

But....have been religiously doing my temperature and charting it on fertility friend. Noticed they are calculating today as day 15 post ov, I have never made it past 14. PIL stayed last night and I was really restless but quite early this morning decided to POAS. BFP!

Took the test to DH and said I must have done it wrong as it was positive, woke up a bit more and realised that isn't possible, especially as it was a digital one so actually says pg on it.

Very difficult few hours trying to act normally in front of PIL, who have just left.

Now I am focusing on not being too excited as its far too early to get worked up and cursing having got the prescription for the IUI drugs yesterday (all £21.60 of it) and having booked first pre-IUI scan for next week, oops.

Hope everyone is having a restful weekend.

stac14 · 13/03/2010 18:06

congrats ven thats great news, how many weeks?

shev sorry you have been crap, get pissed hun! Thats shocking about your ankle. I felt better on 100mg of clomid so you should be ok hun. Enjoy your night and get pished.

Hi to everybody, how are you all? Scan says lo's a girl. X

I've had a few months like that. Usually the day after you get back to some sort of normality.
I had very little monitoring too which prob accounts for the lack of success. Looks like it depends on the HA.

You can ovulate earlier on clomid too. Any time around CD12 seems to be the average.

Hope that helps...

xx

Lucy, all I know is it can make you ovulte early. Fertility Friend helped me track that. Everyone is different as to when they ovulate. It's not supposed to make you ovulate early but is a possible side effect. Don't know if it'll mess up her cycle. Mine went from any time to around 29 days! Clomid will make your hormones go OTT.
I also took mine day 2-5 so that'd determine when I ovulated too!

stac14 · 14/03/2010 10:39

morning all, how are you today? Its a lovely sunny day here. Have to go on the visiting rounds lol.

lucy why dont you get your friend to join here? She can ask as much as she likes and get support from people who know what shes going through. Your a good friend to be looking out for her x

Venetia2 · 14/03/2010 11:05

Thanks Stac and Fairy. Stac* I can only really be about 4 weeks or so (CBD said 2-3 weeks so in "medical" counting thats 4-5 right?), hence trying to be calm and realistic.

I am sure you will get there when you least expect it Fairy, cliche but I was absolutely not pg this month, felt totally normal, didn't really believe it would happen after 3 and however much years and started getting myself psyched up for IUI. Only hope it sticks now!

Lucy I felt crap on Clomid, mostly hormonal and snappy, horrible mood swings. I did ov earlier but only by a day i.e. CD 13 not CD14 like I used to. Didn't have any odd feelings in my legs. The stress of it all made me completely exhausted most of the time though?

The one thing I was really lucky with that most of the others on here weren't was lots of ultrasound monitoring. If your friend can get them to, this helps as the follicle size will tell her if she is ovulating and roughly when.

I agree with Stac encourage her to come and join us here!

Yay another BFP, Congrats Ven, you must be chuffed, i bet your glad you didn't book that holiday of a lifetime after all. You would be needing to cancel it.
Bit of a bummer that you had bought the prescription for iui, but to be honest i would have paid alot more if i knew i would have a BFP.

Wouldn't it be great if we all get our BFP's soon. It would be nice to know we are pg before the end of 2010

Hope everyone has had a lovely weekend xx

popsy1 · 14/03/2010 18:49

Congrats Ven you must be thrilled.

Thanks ladies for your kind words. Its been one hell ova weekend to say the least. Emotions and thoughts have been all over the place. I cant believe whats happening and could possibly still happen. I keep asking myself what have i done to deserve all this and that isn't loosing one child enough!!!
Stac you asked what can be done and to be honest we dont really know. My care has been passed over to a consultant and if lo makes it i will have to have a cesarean and then lo will be in special care for several weeks. I've had tests to show if there are any other problems, we will get the results on wed/thurs, so fingers crossed. I have got to take things very easy for a week or so. DH has now triple wrapped me in cotton wool.
I will try and keep you updated but forgive me if its not very often.

Take care all.

Venetia2 · 14/03/2010 18:51

Ladybird just realised how what I typed looked-dangers of typing whilst tired!

I don't really mind about the prescription cost, should really have said how ironic it is that every month for many more than 30 months I have driven myself mad symptom spotting and then been heartbroken when I am not pg and the one month when I could have symptom spotted to my hearts content I convinced myself that I wasn't and was so convinced I went and got the IUI drugs and booked the scan!

I apologize if I looked horribly ungrateful.....how many people have I ranted about over the years who complained about every little thing in pg when I would have given my right arm to be pg???

Fairygodmother1 · 14/03/2010 19:49

Ven I'm sure Stac was spotting at the beginning of her pg. I certainly didn't take it as you being ungrateful & saw the irony. I would have said the same thing lol.

pops fingers crossed for comforting news on Thurs thats there's not any more problems. I agree with DH wrapping you up in cottonwool. Thy feel helpless at the best of times!

My mothers day has gone well. cards from Godchildren & a laugh with my Bil at lunch! Better day than I anticipated!

Hope everyone else had a nice spring day.

Hi all, had a lovely day today. Had my mum and Dad round for dinner. I had to wait for DSD and DSS to come home from their mums and they'd got me a card and presents. I got some lovely pj's off DSD and a big box of chocolates off DSS. They both bought me a card with 'MUM' on, I was very tearful after reading them .
How is everyone? Hope everyone is well.
Good luck to all ttc xxx

stac14 · 15/03/2010 18:26

hi ven i spotted a few times during this pregnancy but if in doubt get checked out hun, when I was spotting I didnt know I was pg thought it was af on the way, also had loads of cramps, for which i was taking co-codomol

lucy I was up and down like a yoyo on clomid, it is the worse side effect of it as you say not temper tantrum stuff but crying and sometimes just out of sorts

popsy I am thinking of you and your family, please if you manage let us know how you are

becky sounds like you had a lovely day yesterday

Ds made me a papier mache bowl with pot pourri and gave me a teddy and plaque with words about being a mum on it, so it was nice apart from an arguement with sil about the name we like for baby and cos her dh said baby looks like a boy in the scan pic wish she would keep her mouth shut sometimes

fairy looks like you had a fab time too hun

Hi to all, clure, pink, shev, care, jojo, and anyone else i have missed hope your well xxx

Fairygodmother1 · 15/03/2010 18:46
