Having lots of fun now muffins involved ( brushes crumbs off face).

Just realised solved my own problem, should of got muffin involved long time ago! : )

Had a really down day myself the other day ( found out someone else pregnant) it can be really hard to keep positive. Being able to rant post on mn really helps ,as you can tell I can't stay away sorry for hogging thread ( putting down i phone and slowly stepping away ).

liahgen66 · 08/02/2010 15:49

Oh lou I'm really sorry you are joining us. I am crossing my fingers that's it's just a shy one for you.

Welcome to you too littleB

TeaFan · 08/02/2010 17:26

Hi Lou and all the other new passengers

DP and I did the deed in the end last night but all the tadpoles were probably cooked so please remind me that there is very little hope for this month when I am spotting random symtoms in two ten days time

Does anybody know when EWCM comes in relation to the luteal surge? I thought ladies that use OPKs might know. I have been following the theory that it arrives at same time as luteal surge and disappears once OV has happened but wondering if I might be wrong

lucybrad · 08/02/2010 19:00

been to docs today. She said my reading where good. I queried day 21 test, as supposedly this is meant to be done 7 days before AF and af hasnt arrived and i am on day 31 (10 days!) ahe said it didnt matter and that the progesterone reading proved I had ov'd (not convinced). She has refered DH for a sperm test but we have to wait till 3rd march , and then refered us to a specailist even though we only started trying in september, i am ancient.

heyho

will update my stats, add myself back on when af arrives.

Ps she said i had ov'd when day 21 test carried out which makes me at the least 10dpo........ who knows lol

TeaFan · 08/02/2010 19:34

Icedlemonmuffin don't feel too bad about the muffins, I always feel slightly sick around OV and have had a chocolate muffin and and blueberry one today to settle my stomach

...and to console myself about the bathgate episode!

TeaFan · 08/02/2010 19:39

Lucybrad, you never know, stranger things have happened at sea when TTC! Fancy a muffin?... Of the lemon/chocolate/blueberry variety I mean!

Icedlemonmuffin · 08/02/2010 19:52

Teafan when I was expecting dd had extreme ms, started at 6 weeks calmed down around 38 weeks and I lost nearly 3 stone, so not going to feel guilty as I will get pregnant very soon and if history repeats it's self then I won't be able to eat any muffins!

digitalgirl · 08/02/2010 19:57

Just peeking through the window. Am spotting, so will be hitching a ride on this bus in the next few days.

Icedlemonmuffin · 08/02/2010 20:05

We will save you a muffin and some vodka for you, that's if Lou hasn't drank it all!

(Passes tray of freshly baked muffins around and had another root and found a pineapple Bacardi breezer down the back of the couch)

Loujalou · 08/02/2010 20:22

I will pass over the vodka. Got some JD as well if anyone is interested.

After seeing the thread on accupuncture I might give it a go. Got to be worth a go. I have got a voucher for our local health place which has a trained fertility specialist. Maybe worth seeing what happens. Anyone given it a go?

Icedlemonmuffin · 08/02/2010 20:44

Might just mix some alcohol in the next batch of muffins!

Any preferences?

Fancy apple vodka and sultana flavour myself (sneaked one of my five a day in as well).

Any one new looking at this thread, this is a ttc thread, just with alot of muffins about a the moment .

Think I have gone a bit mad with all this ttc. I couldn't do this as a living, especially not without a muffin. Lol

Loujalou · 08/02/2010 20:49

Limoncello - then they would be nice and lemony just how you like them!

Muffins are far more interested than TTC. That is getting boring. Lemon if you don't mind me asking how long have you been trying?

liahgen66 · 08/02/2010 21:03

I have injured myself. (ha, not doing anything strenuous I can assure you, ), pulled a muscle in my leg somehow, as it is a swi night dh is concerned for my welfare. I have assured him that he just needs to get on with the job in hand needs to be gentle and i'll be fine.

Not a huge fan of Vodka or JD to be honest

how about a nice Tom Collins

Icedlemonmuffin · 08/02/2010 21:09

Tried for two years then had really traumatic mc march last year, which included ambulance , massive blood loss, unrecordable bp , mad dash to resus at which point the doctor finally took me serious. One op two pints of blood later sent home with ' try again in three months it's just one of those things' .

Started to try again not long after, my periods are now really random but gps advice you done it before it will happen again.

What is frustrating is got pregnant with dd second month of trying.

So been trying for what feels like too long for us but not long enough for the doctors .

QueenFee · 08/02/2010 21:22

ooh can I have a muffin please? I need the extra energy at the mo

Anyone fancy a glass of red
uncorks bottle

smallblackflowers · 08/02/2010 21:46

ooh yes - glass of red and a muffin please - will go lovely with the chinese takeaway and raspberry pavlova

then off for some birthday lovin' (SWI obviously)

lovely wine...lovely muffins...ahh.
Good lord icedlemon, that sounds completely horrendous. Hard enough to deal with the loss, let alone it being so traumatic, I'm sorry you had to go through that.
I know what you mean about feeling like it's been too long even when it's not been long enough. We're only officially on cycle 5 - haven't counted the two months I was off birth control but getting married and travelling (although secretly wished like crazy it would happen then).
But previously I got pregnant the 2nd month I was off pill, miscarried, then it took 3 months after that, so 5 in total. This is number 5 and it feels like this is a big milestone to go past so I'm feeling quite anxious about this month, trying to keep super cool and relaxed though.
It feels so stupid, especially as there are many many women on here who have been trying a lot longer and had much harder stories than me. But that's what it feels like. I can honestly say I'll be gutted if it doesn't work this month. Am almost tempted to just not try

zenthinking · 08/02/2010 22:32

Just adding myself to the November bus. Good luck to everyone and can't wait to read the BFP announcements !

Icedlemonmuffin · 09/02/2010 09:35

I know what you mean LadyBee sometimes I just feel like what's the point Swi when all that's going to happen is nothing but dissapointment.

If I could have one wish it would be a test that said keep trying because it will happen in x amonut of cycles.

Ttc is like running a marathon with no finish line and no prize.

Loujalou · 09/02/2010 10:06

Lemon sounds like you have had a really bad time. I conceived my DS on cycle 3, so it was really easy. To be far it was only the second month properly trying... I know what you mean about SWI, it all ends in tears.

Lia I hope it wasn't a SWI accident that is causing you pain.

Well period has not started properly yet so there is still some but very little hope. I am feeling a million times more cheery today now I know we will have to continue and am not in limbo. It distressing though, this accupuncture has got to be worth a go but the woman where I have vouchers is away for a month so not too useful for this cycle

Icedlemonmuffin · 09/02/2010 10:24

Lou the past year has been tough but feel like I've turned a corner in the past few weeks. Just got a bit down when found out friend was pregnant.

I have got dd ( which only took 2 cycles) so I'm really lucky.

Don't give up hope until af arrives you just never know.

Loujalou · 09/02/2010 10:30

Everytime DS makes me laugh and smile I do realise how lucky I am. I even realise when he's throwing a complete strop (he's reaching terrible twos!).
