Don't you hate the last few days of the two week wait

Am due today. AF not here yet so constantly running to the loo to check for evidence, constantly trying to work out if my areolas are darker, my boobs are bigger, my belly aching or my head aching! Did a test on Monday but BFN, prob too early either way. Is anyone else out there as barmy as me? TTC number 2 -took 4 years to persuade DP, so keen to get a BFP asap.

Me and DH have just agreed last month to TTC for no.2 - and it's taken me a few years too, DD has just turned 5. I'm not due AF until the 10th, and we were in time for ovulation - so will wait until then to test.
Only 'symptoms' I've had is going to the loo alot, very mild cramps and 'jabbing pains'. This was pretty much all the symptoms I had first time - no sickness, sore boobs etc. Good luck with TTC

Sorry, I'm very new to this.. What is AF? What day are you waiting to test on? I was planning to do it the day I think my period is due, is this the same thing?

AF = period.

With some pregnancy tests (first response or Clearblue) you can test 5-6 days before your period is due.

As far as I can tell I'm on day 21 at the min - when do you think's the earliest I can test? Can't wait - but know from experience that I probably should

Hi Kitchens. Yep, that's what I thought, thanks - the days just seem to drag though, not sure if I'll be able to resist just one little test... I know I'll be disappointed if it's BFN though.

From what you say, I'd probably wait another week before testing if it were me - but I'm probably not the best person to advise, all this counting of days, noting dates - the thought is driving me nuts lol.

I had an awful night last night, tummy was aching - didn't help matters that DH was snoring his head off. Think I finally nodded off at 4am, never been like that before. wham xx

I keep thinking, I'll just try not to think about it this month but it's always in the back of my mind and I'm constantly adding up dates! Think I'm becoming obsessive, oh dear.

Another one here due on Wednesday. I'm pretty sure I'm NOT pg, got absolutely no early symptoms at all. Not even the tiniest twinge. Was convinced I was last week as was very achey and felt like AF due, so I managed to decide that was definitely implantation, but without any other signs I'm now just sitting waiting and still hoping

I was going to try to wait until next Saturday if AF doesn't turn up on Weds, but I'm struggling now, if there were any tests in the house I'm sure I would have done one, but I know if it was BFN I'd just say 'well it was too early' and test again on Weds, wasting the money and gaining no reassurance at all . I'm just hoping going back to work on Monday helps keep my mind off things.

Hi all. Glad to know I am not alone. Thanks for your messages. If 28 day cycle (as last month) then due Friday just gone. Now Sunday. Slight spotting today. But only if I look for it (tmi, sorry!). Have period type pains though so think AF may come this evening. Will keep you informed. Good luck to all others who are waiting x

Gutted. Gave in and did a test. BFN. Am off skiing in a week, so atleast I can enjoy that. Maybe next month. Good luck to everyone else. xx

Quick name change from alliwantforxmas (didn't get what I wanted!). Lunatic Fringe - don't get me started again! So fed up of the constant wondering and thinking did a preg test, get a BFN and now you have got me thinking again. He He. AF def arrived now, and combined with a BFN I think I can safely say not this month. Maybe next time..... All I want for Valentines day is..... x

does anyone else do the 'imaginary argument' thing? I feel like have a tug-of-war going on between the optimist-me and the realist-me. Optimist-me says "hang on, that's a metallic taste", realist me says "oh don't be silly, you're just getting hopes up and are going to be even more disappointed".

Anyway. Today I think I had a metallic taste. And I am going to be more disappointed with AF turns up in a couple of days.
