Sorry to hear that liahgen - hopefully you will get your BFP in the morning!

I am still feeling very tires, tender boobs and cramps in lower left hand side - although starting to think its the dreaded AF arriving!

I will test on Wed if its not arrived by then!

NancyPreg · 15/06/2009 18:40

oh liaghen, that's bad luck - I thought the digital ones were really the best? Do you think you could send it back the manufacturers? You never know, they might even send you some free ones as compensation!! I'd be tempted tbh cos they're not cheap.

At least you know that your morning wee will be strong so fingers very tightly crossed for a BPF!!!

NancyPreg · 15/06/2009 18:41

or even a BFP !

sweetkitty · 15/06/2009 19:01

liahgen - oh nightmare

dlamis - thank you sometimes I feel very to be saying this with an 11 month old baby on my lap, I think part of the reason is that if I think too long I talk myself out of no4 but if I were pregnant theres no going back. I know I am very lucky last 3 times I have been PG got PG first month of TTC, best of luck for tomorrow are you testing?

bellasyummymummy - welcome

will keep everything crossed that the bus is very lucky this month

ilove2shop · 15/06/2009 19:28

hello ladies, im back to the same time again...trying not to go and buy a test and test early!! liaghen - gutted, maybe its a sign that a BFP is just waiting round the corner - or over night as the case maybe!
xx

BellasYummyMummy · 15/06/2009 20:28

does anyone else's DH have a problem when the pressure is on?? my dh is only 27, yet as soon as i mention ewcm or peak fertility, it seems things dont work so well in the bedroom and i try extremely hard not to get pissed off as that doesnt help things. arghh!!!!!

liahgen, you should take it back to the store where you got it, i would!! or there must be a helpline you can ring and complain, maybe theyll send you loads more. though hopefully you wont need loads more..

your symptoms sound promising NM, keeping fingers crossed.

sweetkitty · 15/06/2009 20:33

BellasYM - I never mention things like EWCM or ovulation to DP, he has a fair idea what's going on but I think he likes to pretend there's no pressure IYSWIM, I also throw in a few just for fun in the month

liahgen · 15/06/2009 20:55

Thanks ladies, there is a careline and it says if it doesn't work you can email them, I'm assuming you'll get a free one. Am gonna wee in a pot in the morning so if this next one fails I can still use FMU. I am very sad

I don't tell DH either cos we're pretending there's no pressure either, He kind of knows cos asks if he can have a night off and I say no,

Having said that, I had my smiley face last Friday, they say ov takes place 24-36 hrs after this so ov could have taken place as late as Sunday for me which makes it still too early to know really However, Ifit was Sunday, I gave dh night off so didn't do it then. God now I'm convinced we've missed the window.

I really must geta life

Hope you're all well, Well done new for holding out, we'll all have our fingers crossed for you, and anyone else soon to test.

TakeLovingChances · 15/06/2009 21:01

NancyPreg I'm studying Social Work.... very busy! But 'off' now for the summer, except for a few bits of research for starting backin August.

BellasYMummy My DH seems to like it when I tell him I'm at peak fertility, it's like he enjoys the challenge. However, I don't tell him too much as I don't want to freak him out!

BellasYummyMummy · 15/06/2009 21:51

well after 2 unsuccessful attempts ive told him to just do it in a cup and ill syringe it in! gross i know but i rarely ovulate and i refuse to miss this opportunity. livid. seriously, any other time theres no problem whatsoever. we've been at it loads while i was on low fertility so i guess there was no pressure then. argh!!

liahgen dont forget that sperm can live for 5 days so even if you didnt bd on the actual night of O, you're still in for a pretty good shot, and its better to have them there ready and waiting so that eggy doesnt get away!

anyway good luck to all those holding out to test, be strong and put those tests away!!!! (i of course expect you to tell me the same when im thinking of peeing on a stick 24/7 in a few weeks time).

tostaky · 16/06/2009 07:27

Bellas - My DP much prefers me to say "it is today" rather than say "i have ovulated today"... he'd rather not know all the terms and details

so who is testing today? liaghen? Dlamis?

I have made myself a little planning for testing... So I am allowed to test next monday morning (AF-2), then next friday afternoon (AF +3) and then next sunday evening (AF+5)

BellasYummyMummy · 16/06/2009 08:51

good testing plan tostaky!! very organised (and restrained)

waiting to hear of those BFPs!!!

Dlamis · 16/06/2009 09:47

Dh isn't feeling any pressure yet but he's not being going that long. Give him a couple of months and i'm sure he'll be asking for a night off.

I'm still resisting the temptation to test. Think i'm having a longer cycle this month, O'd late so i estimate i'm only about 9dpo.

Like your plan tostaky. I'd never be able to stick to it though.

Hobnobfanatic · 16/06/2009 11:41

Back from the consultant... Next stop: having my tubes checked to see if they are blocked... After that, and DP's sperm analysis, we should have an idea of what's going on, if anything.

Consultant said to BD twice a week - three max - otherwise it compromises sperm quality. A friend's consultant, though, said to BD three times a day when she's ovulating. Who knows what's for the best! My consultant also said to throw the charts and OPKs away, as the stress can affect hormone balances.

Good luck with those test results, everyone!

nanoo · 16/06/2009 11:54

Hi Girls - just wondering if I'm too late to catch this bus...? It's CD6, so would that push me into April 2010?? I'm taking puregon, so am all drugged up, so SHOULD do a text book ovulation on day 14 (thus says the doc - has never happened yet though!). Would love to join in if there's room on the bus :-)

Nanoo TTC 2, Cycle 12, UCL random, CD 6

liahgen · 16/06/2009 14:34

ok, BFN from me today, sorry ladies

Am just hoping I am like you dlamis only on DPO 9 today so still chance I guess but have lost my postitive feeling from earlier in the month.

Oh well, there's always next month, maybe it'll be a holiday baby, (we go away 28th JunE)

tostaky · 16/06/2009 15:41

Do you think DPO 9 is enough to give a positive? Im DPO 7

BellasYummyMummy · 16/06/2009 16:13

i think 9dpo is a bit too early if i'm honest. i tested at 9dpo and got a bfn, then had a very slight positive on 10 dpo, i wouldnt test earlier than 10dpo really.
liahgen i really wouldnt get disheartened just yet, just wait a couple of days x
welcome nanoo!!

Dlamis · 16/06/2009 16:21

Fingers crossed for you liahgen. I don't have much hope for this month either, i've just started with raging PMT and one of the first symptoms with ds1 and ds2 was not turning into an imcompetant bumbling psycho just before af. Ho hum.

BellasYummyMummy · 16/06/2009 17:50

oh no NM, could be implantation bleeding??? trying to be positive!!! hope its not the witch

sweetkitty · 16/06/2009 18:32

newmember - oh no

I think the earliest I have tested and got a very faint postive is 9dpo

I am so bored of waiting in this limbo land of no periods, well last one was 8th May.

NewMember · 16/06/2009 19:15

Oh its just SO frustrating! So in total this is our 7 month of trying (going into my 4th month of using the CBFM)

The question I have is :

When should I go to the Doctor?

BellasYummyMummy · 16/06/2009 19:48

hey nm, they say most couples will fall pregnant within a year, though if it were me i'd pop along to the doc to see what they say. It took us nearly 2 years to conceive our DD, its not easy for some of us. we've been ttc for number 2 for 6 months now (well, we havent used protection since she was about 3 months old which would mean 9 months, but i guess properly for 6).

youll get there, just try and be patient
