Ok, my CBFM showed another 'high' today - although I think I should have 'peaked' today (going by past 2 months) - really hoping my Antibiotics are not messing up my chances this month... lets hope I peak tomorrow!

I had bought some of the Clearblu Ov kits - i obviously tested on the wrong day as that little happy face never arrived! They were expensive 2!

DP and I have been trying to conceieve before Christmas - we had a chemical pregnancy early Jan!

I was getting to the stage were I was pulling my hair out, I was just SO desperate for this little bundle of joy to arrive ... but nothing! I then realised that I probably did not really understand my cycle very well. Thats where the CBFM came to light!!!

I bought the monitor (£80) and test sticks (£20) from Amazon. My normal cycle lasted about 28-29 days! However the last 3 months this has changed to 24-25 days (i was on the pill for 10 years - so maybe my system JUST calming down)... So my experience with the monitor has been great so far - I understand my system and cycle SO much better. You press the 'm' button on the 1st day of your period - you get to day 6 and it asks u for you 1st stick (1st urine of the day) for me personally I get to day 9 and it changes from low to high fertility, then day 10/11 it changes to 'peak' which is my MOST fertile days - then day 12 back to high! It makes it so much easier when OV time arrives!

Although in saying that, this month a little different, I am now on day 11 and still showing high, where is my 'peak'! I am on Antibiotics so that might be playng a part!

The monitor and sticks are expensive ... but I would suggest buying it 2 anyone

You may also get misleading results if you are using antibiotics containing tetracycline, hormonal treatments (e.g. hormonal contraception, hormone replacement therapy), fertility treatments containing human Chorionic Gonadotrophin(hCG) or Luteinizing Hormone (LH), or any treatment that might affect your cycle.

Might explain your confusing results

With the CB ov predictor, do you have to use FMU cos i've been testing mid afternoon bout 4pm. Normally ov bout now ish with 26 day cycle, no smiley face yet.

Yea it suggests that u use FMU - u get the best result in the morning!

So ... do u think I have OV this month? ARE mabye the Antibiotics interfering with the reading! Or have they made me not OV?

check the active ingredients on your ab's. It suggests you can get misleading results but isn't clear, (to me anyway, ) whether it actually affects ov or not.

To be on safe side, just carry on having nookie until testing time, of Af, is what I would do if no peak.

(she says having never heard of this product yesterday but today is an expert, )

Got kicked off the Feb bus and hoping this is a lucky March bus for everyone.

I updated the stats for today.

liahgen- i used the CB sticks last month. Didnt get a smily face until CD 20 and that was at 4pm. I was using them in the morning and had no luck. I only got 1 day of a smily face so i think it didnt show for me with FMU and i missed day 1.
